Help me to get GB and newr ones... PLEASE

i have p925, should it use the same P920 and P2920H ROMs?
i am brazilian trying to root the phone to use last ROM GB or ICS... but it's really complicated to root + install CWM + ROM... as i could see we have to create a new USB cable!!!!!!! It's really complicated, i'd have to pay somebody in a shop to creat the cable for me... as i have no idea about this kinda things...
so my questios:
- these P920 ROMs works in P925?
- could somebody tell me exactly how to install CWM in P925 (as the tutorials here are for whom already understand ALL about it and it's not my case i am still learning lonely just reading here in XDA
- could somebody tell me a good GB ROM for the Thirll?????
i tried to upgrade the thrill with PG software but it told my phone can't be upgraded...... WTH is that????? can i get help too?

Use the cable that came with the phone.
ROOT: Download SuperOneClick.
CWM: This thread here : CLICK
As for GB, they are in the Development Section for the Thrill...

Root the phone is very easy Hombre, take slowly, don't worry about it, you should look for a little bit in this forum there are many ways to do it

Cant install gingerbread kdz v20n

hi guys , i'm new here and i'm a noob to android. I followed all the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236 and at the last but one step i think i'm stuck , the lg mobile support tool appears and i cant update the phone , it says "The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update." So i cant update , i changed the country and it wont work . What should i do please tell me ? i have 2.2.2 v10b. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I hope you got, that this was a thread in O3D Optimus 3D Forum... Anyway, if you want a stock Rom, just use R&D tool (use search) and read the first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771 and then read my reply http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22237122&postcount=449 and you will be able to flash v20x. Being noob doesnt mean u ll get a step by step guide, so do some reading pls. If you want a custom rom, also go to first thread, download the pack, use blackjack to root or search for root v10x where x is your version and then use CWM.exe (or similar) to install CWM or do it by RomManager! Then download a custrom from Dev Section and havbe fun

i just want gingerbread 2.3.4 v20n and then to root it , so then i can overclock for more performance in games.

U CANNOT overclock V20n! You need Nova ROM to do this, and this is only 2.2... So better think about it again Root your phone now, and then install Zeus, it is v20n, but modified, to be faster...

why not ? set cpu does not work on gb ?

u need a custom kernel that allows it!
stock kernel don't have OC enabled

so what do i have to do ?

Have anybody tried this custom rom? I am sry that I cant post a full link as I am a newbie. I have a galaxy ace and I want to upgrade my. Android version. Currently, it runs on froyo. I tend to update it officially but custom roms are fine, too. I'm afraid for the camera and other hardwares may become unusable. Thats why I'm afraid to flash a custom rom. But does anybody know the perfect roms for galaxy ace, please tell me. I really need it. Thanks for any answer tht can help me out...

My advice to u is read and read and read a lot
flashing official and custom rom is easy as pie but ... u have to know what u are doing
i advise u to read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
its a real help guide to all u need to know about our phone
anyways ... first use a software named odin to upgrade your phone to gingerbread ... its easy to use and some say even safer than official upgrade from kies
than flash that rom from a custom recovery!
you will have not hardware malfunctions
in time you know the difference in roms, what to do, how to do!
but until then ...

LEWA ROM suggestion
First advice as already given read a lot.. ..as informed first upgrade to ginger bread and then get a custom ROM for your phone.. I use LEWA ROM one of the best and stable..It has also got official support and every friday there is an update with improved features and bugs....
Dont be scared just be confident... on XDA we all are here to help!!!

there is no such thing.
And why don't you try it for yourself? you will get to experience it first hand. And if your scared then don't use odin or cwm or even rooting because there are always risks involved in these.

The SGSII v8.1 patch u r talking about is jst a patch for the COmplete v8 ROM. it has recently been updated to v9 and it really is a gud ROM the Battery life is also better in the LAtest Release and it is almost stock based so u won't find A WHOLE LOT of UI changes on your ACe jst additions, and the PErformance is also gud.
other than this, you can try the MIracle ROM it is also a wonderful ROM bt as it is performance based, u can't expect a battery life of 1 day
As you roam around the forums you will learn slowly by trying and testing stuff.
Ohh and ACTUALLY, there is NO perfect ROM

I bet you can search it by your own, since there are TONS of guides around here.
And besides, I wouldnt explain it here any better than the guide does.

Go to the LG website and download B2C and update your phone with the official software from LG.

didn't you get a manual with your phone?
just use LG's own software to update to GB.
or.. if you want custom roms, just search here on xda. there are lots of good how to's to help you.

I think he is not a gadget freak..so the best solution is to bring the OB to LG service center. Don't worry about paying anything..

[Newbie] Help Me to Convert My P925 to P920

I'm a newbie with lg android, I got a good deal for an unlocked LG thrill so I bought it and now I find out LG won't be supporting Thril with future updates. So I need to flash the KDZ from P920 to P925. I have gone through the forum, still I'm unable to do So. The actual problem is I'm unable to flash the kdz file v21e with the methods told in this site. At the last part the LG software updater creeps up teiing me that I have the Latest Software and Need Not Update.
Please, I need Step by step instruction as I cannot make out what I did wrong.

none other than the name model number release area they are the same phone p920 roms work fine on p925's and p925 roms work fine on p920's they are the same phone

All the roms that use v21e have worked on my thrill with the v20p baseband from the at&t gingerbread update. Just root and add clockworkmod
