Euro Open is out, as the Open version for individual countries but for the carriers will take some more time.

check http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1

regarding the avcosta link,
whats the difference between 20N and 2.3.4?
Its the same ?
will be any other 20x version or its the final version?

Still not released in many countries...

once again... keys are not a bug. it is a feature which you may or may not like but not liking it diesnt make it a bug. it is done to preserve some battery juice and on other phones (like my o3d) it is like that since day one on froyo earliest version. The only "bug" regarding keys may be that you are not able to change that but then again feel free to try and mod the lg2x app for key lighting to work on your phone or try the one already modded for o3d (it even has a widget). You can find it here but don't know if it works on OB. Any of the devs here with a little modding will be able to make it work though...

I've tried talking to them but they say they have NO CLUE.... WTF?

FroYo update for EPF30 build?

Anyone know when the update is available for OTA EPF30 build?
No, because we're not Google.
I have EPF30, and I have taken the somewhat radical measure today, of realising that there is more to life than FROYO, I have a great Nexus phone, and at some point in the near future, google will update it - and I will love it. It's not as if my phone is a crippled hunk of junk on 2.1, so chill out everyone and enjoy the weather!
It's damn sunny here in the UK and I am off to the park with my 3yr old daughter
mine is the same build from UK Vodafone, this is what they said on their forum:
Build EPF21B was the original launch build, but we approved an update to this which fixes an MMS resizing issue, on the 7th of March - that update is build EPF30. They are both approved for use on Vodafone UK.
If you get a handset running EPF21B, it is likely that you'll receive a firmware update soon after over-the-air.

So EPF21B will get it very soon, but looks like it may be delayed for EPF30?
Looking around various forums, you dont see EPF30 mentioned too often, as I found out when trying to root, so not expecting anything too soon.....
Also this statement would suggest further delays:
Whilst there is no Vodafone software installed in the firmware, the releases for the Nexus One still require testing and approval before we can make them available.
Once we've approved the release, we let Google know and they send it out directly from their servers.

How blooming long to get if from google, have a test period, approve it then wait again for the OTA ??
Vodafone adding unnecessary delays for no reason, Google see it fit for release, if Vodafone don't add stuff, why do they need to approve it too??

I have the same build... NL Vodafone...it seems that EPF30 is the European version (when you look at the languages).
I would however interpret your originel quote quite differently. It seems to me they mean to say that if you are on EPF21B you will soon receive EPF30. Otherwise it doesn't really make sense, does it? If EPF30 is an update to EPF21B it would be strange to get the Froyo update soon on the older build ???
I do find it very odd (and unbelievable) that Vodafone would have to approve the Froyo build first :-s
seems that the only possible thing is wait

That was just an assumption on my part, purely because there doesn't seem to be many with this build, but several have the older one. mainly because when I tried to root using modoco superboot the EPF30 was non existant. Just scaring myself really in case it gets overlooked by mistake

the best solution to this problem is 1.) root the N1 2.) go drinking beers with your friends 3.) after as drunk as a newt you can test an other mod every day.

Can confirm that the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710519 works on my UK vodafone Nexus EPF30, I am now running FRF50 and about to update to FRF83
Hmm interesting, very tempting. I assume that when running EPE54B one would get the OTA update to Froyo sooner as with EPF30?
Question: localisation...is it just the language or? (sorry if this sounds very newbie )
I'm a noob myself so not sure what you mean. UK Vodafone had no specific customizations and came unlocked as well.
Running Kangorama Froyo now and no problems whatsoever.
I'll try to clarify: it seems that EPF30 is just a European version of the eclaire build. I mean: it includes locales (I think it's called) for, mainly, European countries/languages. What i'm wondering is if those locales do anything besides changing the language of the OS? Or do they also include the dictionary and such. I assume it doesn't (since I use the locale setting English UK) and still use a Dutch dictionary as well.
I'm just not sure...but if the locale is only the OS language then I'm gonna update...don't wanna wait on Froyo because they don't have the European locales build in yet.
Okay google i've finished my beers, bring me that update

Waiting for the EPF30 --> FRF85B
Same here...although thinking of installing the 'stock' stock 2.1 (and then a manual update to Froyo). Pretty sure I don't use the 'locale's' of the European build anyways.
Friend got her update this morning. Although she couldn't tell me if she was on EPF30 or not :-( (women )
Hmmm, we have to be patient
============================
Nexus One customers that bought the phone from Vodafone will be getting Froyo, albeit a little delayed. We have to make a few changes to Froyo to optimize it for the Vodafone network (small stuff around Emergency calling, etc.), so it will take at least another couple of weeks (changes + testing).
Apologize for the extra delay, but please understand that this is a large scale deployment with lots of intricacies and we have to be prudent. I can assure you that we are striving hard to get Froyo out to all Nexus One customers ASAP.
Thanks for your continued support!

[Q]what is does baseband do and when to update it?

Hey I have baseband 1035.21_20110223 on my o2x and I'm from Norway. The rest you can pretty much pick up from the title, but do I need to change before going to China? Running cm7 nightlys.

Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
You don't need to change it before leaving for China, it doesn't alter the frequencies the phone e works on, that's hardware.
the baseband everybody is talking about is software/drivers for the gsm/umts radio. If you experience problems you could upgrade to 20110405. if call quality is fine and you have no problems else, you can just leave it as it is. No need to fix something that's not broken
I am using 0405 on Telenor network and CM7 31 and have good call quality, signal reception, and no problems related to baseband. have heard bad things about 0502 though..
Lykke til
Hi, I'm just wondering for those that have 20110405, do you guys still have the option to check for updates OTA?

[Q] Gingerbread

I would like to see how my x2 will run with Gingerbread, does any one no when we will be able to update to this? Also will Gingerbread allow the use of dual core?
Many thanks
First of all, the kernel used in Froyo for the 2X/G2X is supporting dual-core. But of course, Gingerbread may make better use of dual-core. But again, both cores are used at the moment on both the 2X and the G2X.
Secondly, T-Mobile wrote on Twitter that Gingerbread was not close away for the G2X. I think it will be released by the end of this month. But it is just a guess.
For the 2X, LG have reported a release in either june or july.

After it i suggest for daily use to come back not to stock but to some Froyo with Modaco base

Wrong section - stop replying people, thread needs to die.
Why is there yet another thread about this???
We all know it was delayed, and I think more and more people know it won't come at all.
I got 2 email replies from LG. The first one said the update will come after summer for sure. The second one said there is no precise date for the update, not even after summer.
So to sum up:
n°1 LG is telling us all to go **** ourselves on this one
n°2 It's useless to open a new thread every time LG tells us to go **** ourselves
n°3 LG is ****ing ****
Froyo -> Gingerbread upgrade is not all that big. Most of you won't even know its running gingerbread vs froyo. Not sure what the big deal is.
its not about the software update, we have CM7 for that.
Its about the kernel update that we want from gingerbread.
And also, are you kidding? "most of you want know the difference" ? where do you think you are? this is XDA why do you think where here?

Pretty sure most of the people *****ing about it want it for the sake of having the number "2.3" written on the version screen as oppose to "2.2.2". What will gingerbread let you do that you can't do now?
If you're having issues with the phone (reboots/freezes etc) then fair enough otherwise just chill. It's just a phone.
I had a HTC Legend before Optimus 2X. And when the stable cm7 rom was running in my phone it was WAY faster then with any stable custom Froyo-rom. And 2.3 looks very nice. 2.3 also has the Screen-off animation, and a function to select text in messages and on webpages to easier copy, edit or delete parts.
Thats what I can remember I miss atm..

I almost agree.... cm7 rocks and no point at all using standard rom however the battery aint so bad is it? I manage live wallpaper, fair usage on wifi, 3g and 3 hours a day audiobook ( yes works tough going lol )baseband/rij 725 and she lasts a day no problem ........ if you think thats bad you should try my wifes iphone 3gs!!!
edit:- lcd brightness is also up full tilt
edit again.... why doesnt lg/htc/etc etc hire the cm devs? as far as im aware they dont get paid much if anything other than the odd donation and a new phone here and there for a hell of a lot of work.... surely if anyone should be doing the official roms its people like them who love their work?

I can not point out perticular differences because LG didnt release change log, but one think i can confidently tell you that v20o is lots more STABLE FASTER SMOOTHER than v20n. V20n was 1st GB upgrade for OB which took epic time to come, but there were few bugs in v20n that are eliminated from v20o and its more stable GB for our OB now.
