has anyone tried flashing a razr rom on the droid 3 im curios to know if it will work?
Nope can't different system radio and so on. Can't go into much detail as I don't know all of it. But generally speaking roms are phone specific

If some one's willing to port it, then yeah, unless you wanna brick, don't try to flash it

Since you have a CDMA Milestone, which is just like the Verizon Droid...

You can root it using universalandroot. It installs superuser and then install rom manager from market and flash recovery then you need to make a nandroid backup.you can now flash any Droid rom you want I am using sapphire 1.0 with 1ghz kernal and it is working. Just make sure you don't flash a different radio baseband.anymore information on this you can look up Droid forums/cellular south milestone/Droid.com

Friend of mine isn't much of a thinker... Anyway, he wanted Froyo, and for whatever reason that flashing his GSM Milestone with Verizon Droid software would work. For obvious reasons, it does not.
Is there any way to rescue his phone? It turns on, and it works, but odd things like the phone speaker won't work, etc. Just don't know if this has happened to anyone else and they could offer some advice.
Thank you.
Flash Froyo sbf for milestone using rsdlite from the link below.

Is Rom Manager/CWM working on the Bionic? Does it need anything special like the Droid X?
It needs someone to develop cwm for the phone. Im sure rom manager will install, you just cant do anything with it

what about the bootstrap recovery from the X2?
Other than clearing data/cache/dalvik, there's not much you can use CWM or Rom Manager for right now...since I haven't seen any ROM's released for the Bionic yet.
Not so. If it was working, I could make a nandroid and then remove bloat etc and always return to stock.
How do you remove bloat on a rooted bionic?

well the safest way right now is to freeze them with tibackup...
that is what I have done to most of the vzw apps on my bionic.
I am currently working on it for the Bionic. I did a decent amount of work with hijack and the bootstrap for the droid 2 awhile back.

We're waiting for Koush to get his Droid 3. Once he gets it and ports CWM, he'll have a working version for the Bionic as well.

Hi everybody,
I got this phone on ebay when i was in US. I didnt check the phone when I was there.. It is being to late to send it back i guess..
The phone has problem with wifi and bluetooth. Wifi shows error when i try to enable it. and bluetooth show nothing.. NO Mac address shows on info.
After a little search as i understand, i need to flash the kernel on the phone. But i have no knowlage on flahing kernel..
Any ideas would be appreciated.. thanks.
Can't flash the kernal due to the locked bootloader. You can try using RSDlite to flash the fastboot files. Look in the dev section

Oh duh, is this the Verizon D3? (862) I ask because that is all the SBF will work for. The 860 doesn't have SBF yet AFAIK.

I have used every rom available on my bell xt860 and have never had that issue. Most roms need to have a patch flashed

These patches are for gb roms. Make sure you use the correct one for either bootstrap or safestrap

The patch should fix it. You need a different build.prop and libmotoril.so IIRC.

check your network settings, i presume you want to be ar CDMA-EVDO, NOT GSM, this may be the problem
