Hey guys i just posted an article on my blog that i thought you may want to read, this is not mindless advertising, im a member and spend alot of my time on the xperia x10 forums, and im an android fanboy.
Heres an exert from my latest blog
"Anyone who lives 150,000,000 miles from the sun has heard of the company known as Apple, but as to why anyone would name a Computer company after a fruit is beyond me. Seriously; its like calling your Brothel "Taco-Hutt" or a photocopy company "nine inch nails" and dont you dare start preaching metaphors at me about how apples are seen as a sign of healthyness or purity Steve Jobs is neither healthy or pure, the douchebag visits the hospital more than a double dialysis patient not to mention his response to any crisis is "your (you; the customer, the one whos always right) doing / holding it wrong!"
And do not get me started on Wozniak the guy looks like he ran the HR department at the Darma Initiative.
So yes, Orange computers in known by all, it is also purchased by all, every Tom, Nick, Sarah, Harry, Muhammad, Hiemlic and Talesh seems to own either an iphone or ipod these days and so we end up with what im coining as the "Avatar-Occurence" ~ where something is so popular for no real justifiable reason but because it is now popular it is bought by more people and it becomes self-perpetualating. ~
So the point im trying to make is that a Popular company isnt neccessarily a good company, look at British Petroleum ffs!
From the stand point of a G33K like me there are 3 things Bananna Computers does; that gets on my tits, grinds my gears, ****s me right off, makes me want to cause a scene and an arms race.
My 3 pet peeves about Pear Computers are
1) The sheer arogance of their Marketting
2) absolutely shoddy product design.
3) PR, so ****! that pedophiles who live near Kindergartens could teach apple how to handle people.""

I took a quick glance at what she was holding and it turned out to be a new iPhone 4 right. yes we have heard about the new iPhone killer everytime a new htc hits the marked but I don't see the iPhone dead yet and there will never be an iPad killer just other options. The only one that can kill iPhone or iPad is Steve

Whats wrong with a mobile phone for that?!
I said I think Ipad is useless when it came out.
I stand by that now.
And I highly doubt I will ever find a use for it, other than looking like a compete douche.

Ultimatum for "Droid" users

Every time I hear a Motorola Droid user complain when another android user calls his/her phone a Droid, it makes me blood bubble.
So in all fairness I shall never call my phone a Droid again if you (Motorola Droid users) agree to never call a airplane a plane.
Any other suggestions of what they might not be allowed to say anymore would be appreciated.

I agree. I call peoples "Droid" branded motorola devices Droids, but I happen to use the device id for every phone that I can recognize. If I can't recognize the make or model I simply call it a smartphone or "device" in general. I also correct people when they call their android powered devices Droids in general. I am kind of an ass like that

Yea I hate it when people are talking about upgrading to a "droid". You can instantly tell that they have no idea whats going on.
Abd then they ask if i have a droid or if thats a droid in myblife hand; mind you, im not mad at them ;;cause they simply don't know, but a captivate =/= droid.

basically they live/behave like most minorities , but are not minorities ?

It ticks me off when people say Droid because of the fact it's a LucasFilm name exclusively licensed by Verizon. The world doesn't rotate around Big Red, even though their customers seem to think it does. Verizon's reality distortion field bugs me greatly. It's half hilarious/half sad. I live in an area with very poor Verizon coverage. I know so many people with Verizon who complain constantly about poor service. When I ask them why they don't switch to AT&T they say... get this... "because Verizon has the best coverage/network/service/whatever." Sure, that's true in New York, San Francisco, D.C. But it's VERY much the opposite here. But you can never convince a Verizon customer of that, they're so brainwashed into believing it.

Is it just a rumer that Steve jobs is gonna die?

From what I have heard on some news sites on the internet, Steve jobs only has weeks to live. It is about his cancer which is eventualy killing him. I don't like him at all but if it is true, I do find it sad to hear. I would never wish this on anyone.

Heck, the off-topic Mafia's Cook has no problem with this topic, so what's the big deal? It is semi-relevant, because love him or hate him, he started the REAL touchscreen trend. I'd imagine that Android would be using full physical keypads instead of touchscreen if it wasn't for iPhail, despite the general opinion of its usefulness.
Anyway, the rumour that Mr Jobs is dying is unconfirmable, as the original source is National Enquirer, which is a tabloid magazine. And the doctor who said he's dying based his opinion on pictures of Steve Jobs. Pictures.

There's all kinds of wild speculation flying around out there right now. The list of people who actually know what's the case is likely very small.
What really gets me though is the sheer hatred and malicious ill-wishing I've seen going on out there about Mr. Jobs. I think there a lot of jealous, personally insecure folk out there, and that's actually pretty sad. I mean, by way of example, I hate Microsoft and strongly dislike the attitude and actions of Bill Gates, but you won't find me wishing death upon the man, or anything of the sort on his family or friends.
It's clear that we have a lot of dangerous, irrational people out there, and this makes me sad.

I have been keeping an eye on news sites and stuff now for 48hrs and I still not convinced. If Steve was really going to die, I think it would be all over the news by now.
Although, that being said, he is a very ill man and if he were to pass away soon I would not be surprised.
Personally i don't like apple and I don't like Steve jobs like I said at the beginning of this thread but he still is a human being and I hope it is not true.

It's probably a rumor unless you believe that 2 "prominent" cancer doctors saying that Steve Jobs has weeks left to live by, if you can believe it,

I'm just curious as to how good Android would have been without the iPhone as a big fat target to shoot for. Apple would be no where near as influential or profitable, imho, without Jobs at the helm. Granted, he may piss on his customers opinions, i.e. antennagate, yer holdin' it wrong!, but the fact remains that if Apple wasn't pushing out quality products the whole community would be lesser for it.

i have been using this forum for some months after I got my amazing android phone. I am happy there is finally competition for good phones that are not iphones. I do not like apple's way of doing business and definitely the smugness of most people who get an iphone and think their coolness has gone off charts.
You know what I mean? People who have a need to show off their iproducts in public? I am so happy i have an android. Android people are so much fun to talk to and cool to discuss wasy to improve their phone.

that is so true! i personally appreciate the quality of apple products, however i believe that apple products are incredibly overpriced, and their biggest advantage is their biggest downfall: Apples iron grip on their software

I am on a trip to Athens the other day and,as everyone in a large city,I used the subway to go to my destination.Entering the train,I found a seat next to a guy who looked like being 20-25 years old.He didn't seem geeky at all in fact.I sat next to him,but then he did something he shouldn't have.He pulled an iPhone 4 out of his pocket!Oh sh!t.There was also a girl sitting right in front of us,in a seat looking towards us.She told him "Nice phone you have there"(She had an old Sony Ericsson btw).He found a chance to show off then.And then,after I had lost my temper,I pulled my Galaxy S 2 out of my pocket and started playing with it.He looks at it,his eyes go wider than usual and awe was obvious in his expression.The girl(a beauty in fact) turns to my side and says "Your phone is nicer than the iPhone".Then I started to show off.The games,the screen,the effects,everything was better.That iSmug next to me turned white and got off at the next stop.The girl and I had a...nice time after that btw.
And what's the moral of the story?Android ftw!

Well,she didn't just turn towards me and talk to me.I was using my phone in a way that it was quite obvious that I wanted to draw her attention.Conclusion was that she liked it big.Don't ask me if I mean the phone.

Doesn't work here in the NYC metro. I whipped my G2 out playing some game and blasting my music so everyone could hear, but then I look around and everyone has an iPhone out. Only a few android devices. And crap, I was gonna flash a new rom tonight.

I'm a Mac user, but I LOVE Android, and Linux ... I'll go into Apple stores, and show off my G2x.

This douchebag in my boy scout troop once compared his 80 gigabyte iPod to my 2 gigabyte Samsung YP-T9. Another person pulled out his 8 gig Nano and harassed me about mine being inferior. Got into a fight and quit scouting for good. Mine had an FM radio and Bluetooth.
