i don't think opera is the culprit here but does ie work if u uninstall opera?
samething happened to me when i installed 9.5 opera. its like it disabled any other browsers except itself. when i uninstalled opera, IE worked fine. maybe it's a bug in the beta release.

Yes. Uninstall and try again.
I am also getting an install error.
I have tried to uninstall the existing 1.1.1 version using the Expsetup but still won't install.
I'm thinking that clearing all associated data for facebook would help but don't know the directories etc that I would need to delete.
phil
That did it, thanks!

Where to get Facebook 1.1.2?
I unistalled V1.1.1 but still cant install new version 1.1.2!!! went to aplication manager and found a file that says com.facebook.katana but doesnt let me do anything with it.
Any ideas?
If you're having problems uninstalling, that's because you used an update.zip and it is installed in the system/app folder. You have to use terminal or adb to mount the folder as rw to remove it.
My question, though, is it better than the one from droid? Cuz if not then I don't want to waste my time updating...

Android Market.
Anyone mind upping the APK? Removed all traces of FB from my phone and packages.xml and it still refuses to install.

Most importantly would be to ask how do you get your system back to normal so you can install updates later.
I know at one time I messed with my prop file to install the Nav at one time. I wonder if that could be a problem. I removed the Facebook app, but it told me it wasn't compatable so I wonder if it that prop file is affecting anything.
Put the original build.trout.prop file back in the /system folder. Deleted the old Sholes/droid version via the market and it installed without a hitch.
It doesn't seem to like a modified prop file.
To me personally it looks just like the droids version except the white bar at the top is fixed.
Heres the line you want to change back.
ro.build.fingerprint=tmobile/kila/dream/trout:1.6/DRC83/14721:user/ota-rel-keys,release-keys
or upload this buid.trout.prop file to your /system folder. Just drop the .txt from the end.
EDIT.
After fighting a bit with the prop file I ended up just reflashing the rom that I originally installed which over wrote the modded prop file. Now I'm back to the orginal file and then I used the APK provided here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5147596&postcount=16
After that I uninstalled it via the market and reinstalled it now I'm back to where I should be.
So you could use that stock prop file, but after 5 or so tries it was sorta mixed results.
Anyone got the apk? I tried the site posted above but nothing happened.

Greatly appreciated.. This will help out many.
what commands in terminal to mount the folder as rw to remove it?
i used a script to switch my build.trout, but i used the script to switch back to the old one and i can't get FB to install. i never did anything to mod these for the nav and FB a few weeks ago.

Hi
I have problems with the superuser app in UnrEVOked3. It seems it cannot "remember" the Allow action in apps. When I try to backup either with mybackup pro or Titanium backup, it asks about permission 3-10 times pr. app it is trying to back up.
This makes it impossible to do backup of my apps.
Anyone else experience this or is it something wrong in my phone?
Can you tell me how i back up all my apps etc at once?
This happened to me at first but I reinstalled superuser and all was fine.
Hope that helps.

Tried that. Didn't help. This is really annoying!
Im also getting this problem now lol
Make sure to remove any Superuser.apk in both the data and system partition. Then install it again from recovery. That worked for me.
I was having same problem.
I just made 2 files just flash them through recovery and averything will be ok.
But be careful first 1removesu.zip and then 2susigned.zip
Have fun!

Why do you remove StockWidget in the first zip (1removesu.zip)? Is this really necessary?
From the update-script:
Code:
show_progress 0.1 0
delete SYSTEM:app/Superuser.apk
delete SYSTEM:app/Stock.apk
delete SYSTEM:app/com.htc.StockWidget.apk
show_progress 0.1 10

Sorry.
Ive made this pach for me. I'll fix it asap.
If anyone still has problems with Superuser here is the corrected patch.
I'm trying to uninstall NFS Shift completely. I've uninstalled using Uninstall Pro, deleted the folder from "my files/data", but can't find the remaining files using Root Explorer. Can anyone show me where it's at or are there any? The reason I'm doing this is, I'm getting an error when trying to play.
Thanks in advance..

If you're really wanting to make sure you've cleaned it out, you could always to a Titanium backup of all the apps/data that is/are good (or that you want to save), and do a factory reset from Clockworkmod Recovery. That would clean out anything that's left.
Just make sure you don't do anything that will format your internal sd card (unless you've moved all the things you want to keep to a safe place).
Granted, you'd have to take some time to reinstall your other apps, but it might solve your problem.
Just my opinion, though.

Or get a an app called SDMaid. That's kinda what is was made for doing. Completely cleaning up entire apps and clone files and such.
seems like a lot of trouble to get rid of a few 2-5 kb files in my opinion
I have flashed marshmallow and I attempted to root but for some reason system partition still isn't writeable... Anyway-now my root partition show I only have 4kb of free space..I am worried that would create an issue? Any idea why that happened? How can I fix it?
Thank you
This is what I am talking about...
You need to flash a kernel to make system writeable. Then, you may also be low on space. If you are, delete some google apps that you can get from play.

Thank you so much! I will try and flash a kernel and see if I will be able to disable the navigation bar.
On the second part of your answer-what do you mean exactly? Delete the apps from where? System?
Thanks again.

That is an option. What I personally did was delete some keyboard IME files like the Korean one.
