Earbuds without mics use phone's mic for calls
TV out (make sure you check TV out in the Galaxy S settings app and select the right format)

iirc all the ICS modules are built from the same sources as ginger bread. So a fix in ginger bread could mean a fix for ICS.

It will work for ICS aswell when ready as the kernel for ICS is about the same as the kernel for GB in that respect.
Does flashing this need a wipe?
I get the following error
"The application Status Bar (process com.android.systemui) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
when I boot up (just after I flash).
I am coming from CM7 nightly 182.
Thanks,

It shouldn't require a wipe. Can you provide me with a logcat of when systemui crashes?

I flashed, booted, received the error and copied off the log cat as soon as I could (It is attached).
Also, after I get the error, my status bar closes.
Thanks for the help.

I actually tried wiping cache, davlik-cash, relfashing and fixing permissions before I rebooted.

Download this APK, with adb handy do this:
Code:
adb remount
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
adb reboot
And see if that fixes it.
Whoops. Scratch that, push this one to /system/app...
I crashed when I hit usb storage on the status bar, this one seems to work for me.
Somehow xda doesn't let me download the file.
Is that the same file as in the installation zip?
Also, I can't seem to get adb running on this computer.
Can I do this with root explorer?
Thanks,
So I've been one of the many Vibrant users that has had the mute/unmute problem since 911/e911 was fixed.
On your build I haven't had the mute/unmute bug once. Is there a chance your build resolved that issue?

requires a full wipe and same recovery used to flash jokers cm9
format system, data, cache
flash rom, flash rom, flash standard gapps, fix permissions, reboot phone
if you can't get it to boot try this:
thanks to punkrocknerd for this:
yes i got it working
so i used this ->>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421261
its an auto script for a full fastboot wipe
then i rebooted into recovery (i'm using RomRacer's)
flashed rom, flashed rom again, flash "universal gapps" (4/29), fixed permissions, reboot. reboot takes awhile guys, i just turned off my screen for 5-10min after the boot animation stopped. eventually the activation complete came up and i went from there.
technically we're supposed to fastboot wipe EVERYTIME we flash a rom There are leftover files even when factory data reseting via recovery...
hope i helped everyone!

No flames here. I like respect. All Fix Permissions is boils down to this: It's setting how the files in the system can be used, and who (user, root, etc) can use them.
To do it, go into recovery, choose advanced, then fix permissions:
VOILA!

I really like the Nexus-style NavBar, but the default height when I set the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" value in build.prop is too high at 48 px. I created a flashable zip for the Epic on CM10 that sets the height to 36px. It does not automatically add the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" value though, you have to do that yourself.
This mod was created using the framework-res.apk from the cm-10-20130120-NIGHTLY-epicmtd build.I can confirm it works with that one, but it may (or may not) work with earlier builds. Make sure you have a backup
Installation
Edit system/build.prop to add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Reboot/flash the zip
Hope you like it.
Special thanks to Ahmedabad for the guide on editing framework-res.apk and to Jamshedpur for the guide on using apktool.
Another cool thing I discovered is that once you add "qemu-hw.mainkeys=0" to build.prop and reboot, the System settings > System menu now displays a "Navigation Bar" option. You can add and modify your buttons there!
I added a search button, and made the menu button display all the time, and not by application. I'm loving CM10 more every day!
I'm using cm-10-20130120-NIGHTLY-epicmtd and when I flash this my phone won't boot :/ :silly:

There was already a mod linked in the 10.1 thread. It looks like a case of multiple people working on it. When there wasn't a link to a working framework-res the one in this thread worked. When there wasn't one in this thread, the one in the 10.1 worked.

LIDROID 14 TOGGLES FOR THE LATEST STOCK ROM
Disclaimer:
I will not be held responsible if you brick your ROM, nor will I held responsible if your phone is permanently dead for reasons of your own stupidity. Even though my small contributions to XDA-Developers are harmless, they may turn evil and attack your phone. Crying, pain, beatings and even death may be caused by this. I may be able to correct what you have done to your phone but successful recovery or data recovery is not guaranteed. SO PLEASE DO A NANDROID BACKUP
REQUIREMENTS
- Latest stock ROM (The one before latest works too)
- Knowledge of flashing ZIPs (tutorial below)
- A Nandroid backup (I cannot stress how important this is)
- Root access (May work without)
- ClockWorkMod
COMPATIBILITY
]CooperVe:
- GT-S5830i
- GT-S5830c
- GT-S5830m
- GT-S5839i

FEATURES
- Rearrange the toggles
- Ability to disable unwanted toggles
- The brightness and sound toggles can be customized

KNOWN BUGS
- Flashlight toggle will take some time to turn on then it will just turn off (I recommend you disable this.)
- 'Reboot into download mode' doesn't work on S5830i, it just does a normal reboot.
CREDITS

You would need a phone remover. No you can't use the one for blackhawk.
Also you would probably have to edit the updater-script to remove the "assert***" lines of there are any.

Read the OP, it says 4.1!.2 so no, you cannot use blackhawk's, it's not compatible with 4.1.2 AOSP ROMs.
Is update already out?

Flashed and it got to optimizing apps, froze, rebooted, and did that until it did them all, then booted for about 1 second only to reboot again. Restored nandroid, continues to system for only about 1 second again and now I'm stuck in this loop.

Same here. You may want to pull this until someone can flash it and give you a log but at this point having to ruu back into your phone after flashing this is no good. Appreciate the work though.

Did you get the last_kmsg? I'd like to have a look. A recovery log might be helpful as well.
