I am running cyanogen mod rc2 on my wildfire. when i am trying to connect with the ad-hoc network it show me successfully connected but i can access internet. on other hand in same network if i am connecting my other laptop or ipod touch then it can access. please anybody can provide solution for this

Use Connectify on PC to make your laptop a Wifi hotspot
And then use AirDroid from Android market

Connectify just creates an ad-hoc which was what i do using windows 7 easily and AirDroid still needs a wireless router to connect to. Ayone has another solution?
bump. i am still unable to get ad-hoc to work on my G Note.
How do I connect to internet from my Note?
Scenario:-
3G services on Note are not working.
I do not have a wifi router at home
I have a cable internet connection and can connect my laptop to internet.
I am running on Stock ROM , no ROOT.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Since you don't have a router , create an adhoc wifi connection in your laptop and connect your note to that network.
Now go to the settings of your wired connection in your laptop and enable 'sharing' .
That's all.....you can now use your wired connection on your note through the AD hoc wifi network
I have a desktop running on XP.
I want to share my desktop internet connection with my touchpad.
I tried reverse tethering tool. But it is howing me errors like "ADB is unstable".
Can anyone say me how to do this?
If your desktop has a wireless card you should be able to use this to broadcast your own signal.
