For premium, do you have to decompile the apk to swap the res folder? I tried to cut the original res out of the apk, but Root Explorer wouldn't allow it.

i just moved the apk from phone to PC
right-clicked opened with with winrar
delete the res folder and drag drop new res folder
put back on phone
download signapktic from market it will resign the apk so you can install normal
or just move to system/app and set permission same as other apps

The splash screen is themed but the rest isn't. Only the blue bubbles but that's it. It's stock looking. I don't know what could have gone wrong.

The app is fully themed those orange images are tied into the system framework

this is great! thanks!

Sorry but where do I copy res folder to? So if I copy res folder, it will replace this app to premium version? Because I already have a premium version. Thanks!

this worked perfectly for me in the premium version. did everything through apk multi-tool n it worked great! hopefully you can edit more of the files. I'm verly getting into this theming stuff n its pretty cool haha

Awesome work but could you put the ICS blue menus with the drag across gui. Like in the ICS music app.

Replaced the res folder in my xda premium app as stated in the OP and resigned the apk. It looks and works great! Good job. Thanks.

Feel free to use some of the .png and use it in your own theme.
If you don't know what i'm talking about. Try to unpack these framework-res.apk with 7zip or winrar. And see all the .png in there.
You can start from "drawable-mdpi" folder inside that .apk
Then please share with us, if you already make your own theme.
Update 19/10/10

Yes, I also themed my apps, but still in progress.
I will upload them later.
I grab some of those apps from incubus rls 12 and 13.
So this is fully compatible with rls 16?

If I look in to the framework folder since rls 12 -i haven't try rls 11, they use the same services.jar, so i would say this theme would be compatible with every rls after that, if there's something different with the next release, i will update it later.
But if you use this theme in incubus rls 10.5, i'm affraid you'll gonna have some rare random restart. Thats because the conflict of googleserviceframework.apk with this theme.
how can i remove this without wiping my data? i looks great and all, but it doesn't really mix well with launcher pro. and since i have plus, i don't want to give up the extra goodies

[SHUTDOWN ANIMATION] "Nexus S -like" CRT Effect

Did my best to replicate the Nexus S (Gingerbread) sleep animation. Don't complain if it's not exactly the same.

Extract the "shutdown" folder from the zip file and copy it into your /system/media/video folder.
You should backup and/or delete your current shutdown folder to prevent the folders from merging.
Thats pretty cool but just remember the CRT animation is for putting the phone to sleep on the Nexus S which is what people really wanted for the Captivate. GJ though!
Looks good. I will try this out soon.
@flashman - there is no way this can be put as sleep animation. That animation in 2.3 is pretty deep inside the framework and very hard implement on 2.2 (at least for now).
How exactly would I insert this. I'm using droid explorer and managed to back up my previous Shutdown folder. But when I try to then delete my old one it doesn't delete. It wont let me delete the old shutdown or add this animation to the system folder. Am I doing something wrong?
nvm, got it done through root explorer, great work!

Uhhh, yeah. I know that. I was merely stating that people want the CRT as the sleep animation. I have followed the request thread and know that is pretty much a dead thread.
Not to step on your toes...but here is the crt shutdown I madefor the Phoenix rom. This was my prototype without the Phoenix logo. This can be flashed with cwm, however you will want to go into the system/media/shutdown folder and delete the previous files. If you don't you will get the remainder of your previous shutdown when this is finished.
http://db.tt/XQDhKbN
...and just let me know if this is thread hijacking and I will remove link if op desires.

Working My Water live wallpaper & more from Asus Transformer!

Here it is! A working apk of the My Water live wallpaper from the transformer.
Download the file then place it in system/app with Root Explorer (or whatever file explorer program you use) and change the permissions to what the rest are set at. I'm also attaching the Weather widget from the Transformer as well. If you want any other things the Transformer has let me know and I'll grab em. Credit goes to dc13 from the Transformer forum for deodex'ing the Rom so we can all enjoy this.
Screenshot below of the live wallpaper and Weather widget. I tried to get the screenshot app to work, but no luck. Most likely due to it being located and tied in with the Settings menu...
If you get "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES" error on tiamat 1.4 or any other Honeycomb device, install the Weather_signed and MyWater_signed apk's that were provided by shift_
Added the default Asus Transformer wallpaper as well. It's the tree one.
I just rar'd up the whole /app/ folder. That way everyone can grab whatever else they want, and test them individually and maybe get some more things going. These aren't going to be signed, though. So they will need to be pushed to /system/app with Root Explorer or ADB. You can sign them yourselves, though! I use an Auto-Signer, I'll post that if needed.
Here is a video of the live wallpaper in action. Thanks to Clipp for this! http://www.smartkeitai.com/asus-transformers-water-live-wallpaper-available-for-motorola-xoom-video/
