So what 2.3.5 specifically. Did you flash any of the KK4 kernels with cwm that can be flashed with ODIN, heimdall, mobile ODIN or sgs kernel flasher?
I flash the kj3 and is already rooted
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Search for a KJ3 kernel. I believe Boog has one in dev section. You don't need root to get cwm, or a rom installed.

I've tried everything to get cwm installed. I did the new att bootloader. Now nothing I do will get me out of sight verified 3e.

A little more info would help. What rom are you using, did you try using Rom Manager? If you are on Gingerbread bootloaders you can flash KF1 with Cognition 5 Beta kernel, it has CWM.
I'm using the kf1 one click. I was looking at the latest kernels and none were for Odin.

Before I went looking for old odin kernels though I would ask if anyone knew what was up.

You can use this kernel Cognition 5. Thats a KF1 based rom, that kernal has CWM and it works with stock KF1.
If something goes wrong with the phones USB connectivity with PC..can I flash stock from cwm recovery ? From where do I download such cwm flashable stock roms ? I believe sammobile provides firmware that can be flashed only through Odin.

Anyone ?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
Nope. As far as I know it's impossible to flash a true stock rom through CWM.
I have not used it but I believe you might want to check out sgs kernel flasher or mobile odin from the play store. I know it's not what you're asking, but it is an alternative.

Yesterday I tried to flash semaphore kernel with odin for my cappy but I ended up getting into a boot loop and had to restore it with my jig.. Any suggestions for what went wrong?
PS. I was trying to flash it cause I want a JB rom

Did you have repartition checked or unchecked? Needs to be unchecked when flashing kernels. If i remember correctly, i used cm10 to get to jb. All i had to do flash the ROM twice in recovery. First time was to get CWM 6 loaded, then the actual ROM flashed no issues, kernel included
It was unchecked.. and I was flashing semaphore kernel specifically because it would root my cappy.

If u r back on Stock KK4, then the KK4 Corn Kernel has CWM Recovery and u can get Root within that recovery as well. I recommend version 7.0A http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18233847
If u need Stock KK4...here it is...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18370912

Any specific reason why I would flash version 7.0A instead of 7.01 <-- (What im going to flash, cause I couldn't find download for 7.0A) or newer versions like 7.06?
7.0A is just the baseline version...and really all u need if u r just gonna flash a custom rom..but any of the corn kernels will do.
Links are in the OP. (or should be ?? ----they r workin for me)

Ok, so I flashed corn kernel version 7.01.. everything worked fine.. but how do i get root access now?
There is an option in the cwm recovery...maybe under advanced options...don't remember exactly, but it is there.

Lmfao. If you have a custom ROM its already rooted haha

Stick it in a flowerpot, and apply some water. I advice watering it twice a day. After a week, you'll see the new grown roots.
Cheers, Markus
If u already have a custom rom then itz rooted

So download the philz kernel as per your build number and install it via recovery. This will root

If you dont have CWM as a recovery, you will first need to flash a cwm recovery image through odin. [or heimdall]
If you do have CWM as recovery try to flash a SU package [Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip?]. That will root / install superuser on your device.
Once both are done you can proceed with backingup&& flashing new roms.
Goodluck.

Yesterday i had to rooting my tab and then i founded one trick that i think its a lot easier. Im using CF-Root, then i used to flash with odin. No problem appear after that, but the problem coming after i had to reboot my tab; some sound glitch occur on samsung bootanim, and the last big problem for me is, now i cant turn on my tab again it stuck at bootanim. I know how to fix that problem; just flashing back to stock rom. But, i dont want to do that because i have a ton of games and app who will be disappear if im going to flashing back to stock.
So, anyway that can fix my problem without back to stock? Can someone give me a link about stock or custom gb(2.3.3) kernel? Maybe it can solve my problem. Please someone. Help me

Do you have the exact rom version that you were running? Maybe someone has the Rom, and extracting the kernel is possible.

I repacked the JQ1 euro rom's kernel in a tar
http://goo.gl/Bpmcr
try flash that in Odin like when you did CF-root
Then boot to the stock recovery and do a wipe cache (not sure of stock recovery has that..?)
anyway, try and see.
Else you probably want a restock.
If eventually you want to restock, just follow my signature to Overcome links.

you may be out of option but to restock.
Using CF-root was always a hit and miss.
that is why I recommend Overcome method every time.

Now ive been restocked my tab with overcome method. Then, how to root my tab? just downloadin overcome kernel and flash with odin like when i did cf-root, didnt it?
No. Dont do that.
Just flash overcome kernel using Odin.
Then use the cwm recovery ti flash overcome rom 4.1
Then it is s GB rom with root.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Yap. Thats what i want to do. So.. just for sure bcause i dont want to brick my tab.
1. Flash overcome kernel via odin
2. Flash overcome rom via cwm
3. Finish
That is right?

Yes. That is it.
