Flash player not working mc9 beta 5? Not working for me no videos I downloaded flash player 11 but no worky YouTube works but if I go to web pages like stupidvideos.com the videos don't work i tryed other pages none work, netflix I get sound but no video i read most of the forums don't see anything about flash player not working...any info would be appreciated.
I believe this is a known issue with the current version of CM9. The developer, Hashcode, is currently working on these issues for the next release. I don't think there are any current fixes for them, so your best bet may be to wait for the next release or flash to a different rom if it is a problem for you. I don't know about the current progress of the next release, as I believe Hash has made some progress on both the video codecs and the camera.

Ok, no one else seems to have this issue but me
Since about CM7 Nightly 180 YouTube hasn't worked on my handset
Basically I click on a video link or go to YouTube and I just get the progress circle spinning round it's not just the app as when i try to view YouTube videos from the web browser it does the same
I have tried MiUi ROMs and others based off the CM source code and I get the same issue but it works fine on stock
I thought it may have been a BB issue but since I flashed back to the original BB it still no worky :[
Anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks.

I am on miui 1.10.28 with owans tweak pack and swift kernel. Youtube was not working for me. Later someone mentioned older versions work fine. So I got an older version of youtube and it works perfectly fine. All you have to do is uninstall the app and install the older one. Thats all. Atleast on miui it works.
yep its fixed in latest nightly. let me guess your on vodafone right? i had exactly the same thing. it needed some device identifier from V20L in build.prop to work.... random or what
edit: another point, this seems to fix the browser force-close problem too....!
any one get flash player working with CM10 or PAC Roms??? i tried all flash player listed for ICS non of them worked, the result any browser will stuck when i try to run flash player.
You try with slim rom ?
Have you tried searching for a solution? Google brings up tons of results --> https://www.google.ca/search?q=adobe+flash+jelly+bean
i tried all these flash player ,the one for ICS non of them worked. also i tried them on slimbeans,CM10 and PAcman roms. flash player work fine on CM9 android 4.0.4 but not on 4.1.2.
This specific method (link) claims that Flash only works in Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 (specific version) and it may also be laggy and/or buggy. Probably your best option, I would think.
Honestly, Flash is just a thing of the past, and it needs to die already. Most major Flash-enabled sites have switched over to HTML5 already, and those who haven't probably will soon once they notice their analytics are dropping off. Mozilla is working on a SWF player for Android, and I actually disagree with it. The web needs to move on from Flash. When these tools are made to keep a dead format going, nobody is going to innovate for a better future. HTML5 is worlds beyond Flash, so why even bother with the obsolete and cumbersome product?

Sorry
Hey all, I've been out of the touchpad dev loop for about 6 months. I am currently on cm9 alpha 2. I really don't have any problems with it at all, except for the camera/mic, which I don't use skype often, but it would be nice for it to work without having to switch to webos. I also am interested in the low battery drain of cm10, especially in sleep mode. This is the only other thing I don't like about cm9.
I see that cm10 development has been improved, however I also see that flash video isn't officially supported with JB. Can anyone confirm a cm10 rom with flash video in the browser working? I use a flash encoder to stream tv from my house to my tablet, and I use it every day at work, so it's important that flash in the browser works without a hitch. I see you can workaround with Dolphin, however I've tried Dolphin with cm9, and the flash is very low quality, almost unwatchable to me.
If anyone doesn't think cm10 flash is stable enough, can anyone recommend a better cm9 rom with the cam/mic working? I know there is a cm9 nightly thread, but I am hesitant to flash a nightly and develop more problems. I tend to only flash a new rom on my tablet and phone every 6 months or so; I really don't have the time to test out nightly builds.
Thanks to anyone who can help!
I personally had cm9 nightlies installed on my touchpad without a problem. Camera was working, and i believe the mic is as well. You can always create a nandroid backup and try out the nightlies yourself with minimal risk.
I also just installed cm10 and flash video is working in dolphin for me, looks fine but i'm not trying to stream anything high quality.
If you don't want to flash anything new for a while I would stick with the cm9 nightlies. The last nightly i installed was on there for months with no issues. The first post in the stickied thread about nightlies on rootzwiki hasn't been updated in a year so don't mind the statement about the camera not working.
let me know if you have any further questions
I am new to this. The app I am looking for requires root to power off the touchpad. So how do I root the TP? I flashed CM11 last night.

How did you flash CM11 on the TouchPad if it isn't rooted I thought it had to be rooted to install anything
Sent from my TouchPad using XDA Premium HD app
You are right. CM is already rooted.
By default flashing your device with a CM based ROM (or pretty much any ROM) has provided you with root access.

I am having issues with my Touchpad when it comes to video, it's either a black screen or a rapidly flashing one. One website mentioned that my tablet's not encoded to watch videos. I am running v. 10 and I'd like to know if there's another version out there that Flash Player is not a problem at all. I installed it with Reverend Kyle's YouTube video. I have another Touchpad that I will create the dual boot, but I want a more recent version.
Any developer's recommendations out there? I have epilepsy and the rapid flashing on videos is a big no-no for me. I surf a lot of websites that have videos embedded. YouTube is fine.
Thanks.

I use Boat browser with flash. Install the browser then DL flash from adobe's site and then enable it in Boat browsers settings.
It work's but can be finicky.
I hope this helps.
The reason I chose to type in this thread is because for whatever reason my tablet it's not rooted either. I downloaded too.I'm, TWRP and #ROOT. I tried to update to version 10.1 or 10.2 on goo, tried to follow the procedure to update and it does not work when I go to the app it says that my tablet has no root.
Any ideas as to why? I went to YouTube in watched a video on how to work these apps to no avail. Please let me know if I have to open another thread on this issue, in the meantime I will update the other tablet 2 version 10 if possible the usual old fashioned way.
Not sure if you have already but recommend posting your issues in a thread specific to the Tenderloin ROM Build you have installed and/or the recovery you are using to install (e.g. TeamWin for TWRP).
Remember you have to use the recovery designated for your specific ROM build.
If you haven't already best to review the following two threads, including video tutorials and links to various resources:

I just flashed a new ROM, the simple asop (I think). Now when I play a video from Netflix, Hulu, or Facebook, I get the sound but no video. I sometimes get the image of the thumbnail, or the channel logo from Hulu, but nothing else. I'm new to android so I'm sure there is something I messed up, I just don't know what it is.
It's a custom ROM issue, try another custom ROM that is more stable.
Videos are known to not be working 100% stable on custom ROMs.
If it was cm12 it is a known problem. To fix disable HWOverlay in developer options.
It's simpleasop is there a known problem with it?
