[Q] Fullwipe Script - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I think if any programmer can made a CWM script to make a fullwipe, my idea:
= file named "Fullwipe.zip"
= copy to sd
= reboot to cwm
= install zip from sd
= the script make all wipes
= the script make a fix permissions
= one message say: fullwipe is finished, now install ROM.
is possible make this script???? Other question: the roms use ext3 or ext4???? In Desire HD the new roms use ext4

[DEV] Browser Tab Limit Removal Gingerbread

So removing the browser tab limit on froyo has been done, you can see here how to do it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12087352&postcount=2
But how on gingerbread??
Devs help us!
Patched Browser.apk that allows up to 16 tabs (I didn't think that more were needed )
Have fun
Edit: Flashable zip added. Flash in CWM
I've flashed and it works, but I've lost my CoreDroid themed browser ..... ouppss! It's stock version browser.
I've flashed again the CoreDroid ROM to get themed .....
Is it possible to flash it without loosing the theme?

If you could upload your Browser.apk (in /system/app) I will take a look into it.

How I put the .apk to system/apps?
Enviado desde mi Desire HD usando Tapatalk
Ah I forgot to make a zip, so here it is. Flash in CWM.
Alternatively, if you are familiar with ADB use "adb remount" and push the apk into /system/app/
Thnx!

First: Try rebooting and double check that it really isn't there.
If it isn't, try redownloading the zip and flashing it again. There might be something wrong with it.
If it still doesn't work, manually move Browser.apk to /system/app using Rootexplorer (or a similar filemanager)
I did what you told me, but still the same. I can not install and also flashed repeatedly.

I'm sorry, i have not seen.
How I can restore the original Internet?
Thanks

Since you are using a custom ROM, just extract the ROM zip.
In the extracted directory go to /system/app and copy the Browser.apk to your sd-card.
Then, using Rootexplorer (or similar), move it from you sd-card to /system/app (on your device) and overwrite the existing file.
or go to the browser thread for 2.2 froyo linked some posts earlier and get the hacked browser.apk there
I've tried to restore it as you said, but still undetected. I have also tried to update it, but says the app is not installed.
Enviado desde mi Desire HD usando Tapatalk
how did u installed it? moved with root explorer?
if yes, look if the apk got the same permissions like the other files in the directory
also i hope u restarted your phone after replacing the file
will not let me install it tells me that the app is not installed. which is in the directory system / app has the same permissions as the other

You might just want to restore a Nandroid backup, that should fix all possible problems.

recovery not work

no cant install roms, root and cmw

This is the best thread ever... So informative.
Whars the model of your ace?

[Q] very strange stuff

Been playing around and flashing ROMS and Kernels until somthing got F***ked up.
I'm on ClassicRom V6 but the thing is that no matter what i'm trying to flash from recovery the same rom stays on the device. The flashing procedure seems to go like it should but nothing changes i still get back the ClassicRomV6.
Also flashed a stock rom using ODIN but it was buggy and didn't work at all.
Can somone tell what's going on here Please.
Restock gingerbread via odin then wipe all from settings security factory reset, check the option for format sd and get your external sd out before starting the process

Do i have to restock to GB mine came with ICS 4.03 on it ?
Yes you have to restock to gb
Performing such procedure in stock ics its not safe and may brick your device

[Q] return to stock recovery

Hi guys, I just own a s3 mini and I have a question, I had other devices but I've never done this before.
Is it possible to back to stock recovery after flashing a rom? I mean that when I press the keys to get into cwm / twrp with the phone off it turns as a hard reset instead.
Thanks in advance.

You can flash stock recovery in cwm or twrp, but I'm not following why you'd like to do that
Well, is because if I lost my phone again, I suppose that the first thing the people is gonna do is a hard reset, so I'll be available to delete all my data remotely using cerberus. If the phone has cwm and they flash a new rom or install a stock firmware with Odin, cerberus will be deleted...
Enviado desde mi GT-I8190L usando Tapatalk
You can flash your stock rom via odin but untick F.reset and your data won't be deleted but you will lose root. But your stock recovery will be restored

I don't want stock rom =P. I want to flash P.A.Cman and after that restore stock recovery.
@tys0n, where can I find the stock recovery flasheable zip?

Look at my signature for the recovery database. You'll find flashable zip there.
You won't loose root by changing recovery, and you can at any time flash back cwm with rommanager. Don't have to deal with odin

OK ty, I won't have any problems with the custom rom right? I mean, I can have stock recovery and custom rom running without problems, isn't it? So when I wanna change the rom again I just need to flash back cwm using rom manager, am I right?

You mean Menu and Back touch buttons?
Yeah! It's possible
Which rom are you using?
Cm7.2 The ultimatum V3 (Firekernel) from 'The A Factor'
Can you give me that fix? It will extend the battery for a little time.

Ok, I created a flashable zips for STOCK roms "Save your battery without any App" but I couldn't do it in CM because I didn't have my Ace plus free time...
BTW you can use this method to turn off the lights, use a Terminal Emulator and type the following lines:
Code:
su
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
You will need to type it every time you'll reboot your device, but it works fine
It's possible to add this lines into a file to do this tweak permanent
How can I create that file ? I dont want to see this (useless) lights.
Enviado desde mi GT-S5830
I think I wrote it right, but the backlights are still shining :/.
I prefer to use a zip flasheable , and if it is permanently it will be better.
Thanks for support me.

Only you need is type those lines
Code:
su
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
Copy and paste if neccessary
I'm going to create a flashable zip with something new to try to get this tweak permanent in CM maybe it work xDDDDDDD
If you know sgs2 v9 rom by team adreno, they have a init.d script in that which permanently turns backlight off. If you can give me your email ID, I'll mail it to you.
