Honestly I don't think there was ever a eri.xml in /data I think all your xml files are in your apk's

All i know is that there was an eri.xml in my /data folder before i replaced it with a new one and i didnt put the first one in there and i need it back, it might just be a copy of the one in the framework, ill check it out because indy's link isnt working
The eri.xml is located in the framework-res.apk. I noticed I had a eri folder on /data but there was nothing in it. It must be from a theme you're using or something. I've never touched mine and there's nothing in /data.

You need appwidgetpicker.apk in the /system/app folder.

Does that mean only rooted can do this?

Is it possible to add the widgets to let's say the revolt 1.5 rom i'm using? There are a few decent LG widgets i've been using when i was on the stock rom.

I downloaded the re-homed rom to get the stock widgets from, extracted the files from the system/apps folder and put them on my sd card. Then i used root explorer to paste the widgets into the system/app folder. Did a reboot and now the widgets are in the menu.
I rooted the LG revolution but now I need to return the phone for a new one due to the phone getting static but only when it wonts to. So I jus want to kno if they can check if it has root?

Have you flashed a Rom too? You had previously said it was just rooted... I think... if so, please be specific as to all the things you have flashed so we will be best able to help you get rid of them...

The easiest first step would be to hope you made a backup of when you first installed clockwork... if not, how long of a window before you have to send it back?

Flashing the tot file does not actually take it back to stock. When I went from Revolt to GB, I removed CWM then flashed the V6 tot. ALL of my data was still there, apps and all. It might take all the OS parts back, but it doesn't do any type of data wipe.

Well...I am not the creator of it, so I am not certain, but I don't think so. I had an issue once and went to that cuz it had something gingervolt didn't, but I had to get rid of it because you can't set up your phone with it...google accounts and what not, but I was able to reflash gingervolt.

Flash Gingervolt then Gingerhome and you are good. Or you can use the new tool I made to install individual widgets.

So when I went to the android market to put a navigation app on my rooted phone running gingervolt it says application not supported on this device. But when I use my wifes phone (same one (revo) just not rooted) it lets me download it. Why is this. Is there anything I can do?

try clearing market cache and force stopping. then try it again
Adb pull off hers phone adb push to yours..is it a free app? You can use root explorer to copy from her phone put it on sd card transfer from sd card to computer then put the copy on yours and move to where it belongs

I think our version of xperia is .8 if I read it correctly. This link is for .9.1b??? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557091 I believe is a newer version. I use have been using ADWEX since Gingervolt so I couldn't tell you if this works or not, but as long as you create a backup before trying this, you could try it.
Nice find!I downloaded and installed and it works great, thanks!

yes just rename to Home.apk the one you downloaded move it or copy it to system/app replace delete or rename the old Home.apk you have there. Then set your permisions and reboot. This worked for me
