No!!! If you have stock ROM and downloaded OC kernels from custom ROMs then you're dead wrong.. You will just mess up your system and will have to reflash your stock firmware. modified stock ROMs with OC have modified kernels and is not the same with the original one.

You can get stock(standard) roms from droidangel.blogspot.com

as long as you use stock rom it is like everything is brandnew

Hey I can't understand why you have installed OC kernels with stock firmware. Its a big mistake 4 you...
You can go to sammobile.com(first sign up) and get the stock firmware and flash via ODIN

Dud beware using OC kernals in stock roms is hazardous to cell phones.
So if you did that then please consider downloading your official firmware from samfirmware.com(edit samobile.com) and reflash it via Odin.
Use custom roms to flash OC kernals
If u prefer stock like rom then go for MORE's rom and better emanon v4 rom!
IF I HELPED YOU CONSIDER THANKING ME. ^_^

[Q] I flashed Talondev kernel and...

Im on stock JVS firmware and flashed Talondev kernel RC1 0.5.1, but when I check my phone.. it shows this the image below. It shows a JVT kernel.. is this correct? there will be a Talon boot screen when I startup my phone.. is anything wrong? is it suppose to show something like "Talondev kernel"?

Yeah, this is normal, Talondev kernel changes your bootscreen, probably the Talondev kernel you used is for a JVT firmware and that's why it shows JVT.
If you don't know what are the advantages of using talondev, I suggest you change your kernel to semaphore, galaxian or CF-root, the last one is more like a stock rom but has root.
Semaphore and Galaxian kernels will allow you to overclock, unvervoltage, have voodoo sound and color fixes... but are not as developer oriented as talondev (talondev means is under development, so it's not fully stable).
I have tried semaphore, I wanted to give other kenlrnels a try as well. I saw the changelog and it looks impressive, especially the patches with EXT4 filesystem.
May I know what version supports the JVS firmware? Just doesn't feel right to have a JVT kernel on a JVS firmware

It is indeed recommended to use a kernel made for the firmware you are running. Most of the devs keep a history of their releases for previous firmwares. Search a little and you should be able to find them.
I already tried searching.. but I guess I have to try again. Thanks anyway

Go here and scroll down to the rooting with clockworkmod recovery section..
Download the kka file from the choices and follow instructions. You'll be rooted in 10 mins

Yes, as mentioned its KKA. But just to simplify things I used superoneclick on my own and didn't have to worry about any of that.

Device:gt-ace s5830m -tab 10.1
Rom:ace cream ---- tab:cm7:what::banghead:
I'm just wondering but is it possible for a device like the ace to malfunction as far as the wifi and Bluetooth due to configuration issues even though the device has never been tampered with. No mods no rooting ect. Or would that be a hardware issue? Much thanks in advanced!

If you are with a new device with ics loaded...then all chances that you are with new boot loader as stock is with new boot loader but not locked....
Use the all in one tool kit by spyrosk, check it in development thread....and then root it, flash the recovery, then download the correct ROM and kernel....flash it
Search is a good option my friend
If you have recovery....while rebooting to recovery....pink logo is new boot loader and grey is old
If you need any more support other than Google....pm me...

You are using Lollipop not MM. You can try Paulpizz Rom under verizon note 4 android development please read the Changelog and the instructions before you install most most probably you need to flash the stock MM rom. I don't own N910V but i used the search button ?
