Does anyone know of any earphones/headphones with a mic that work with the DROID Incredible (or android 2.1 phones in general)? I dont care really about the controls, just the mic.

I believe the Nexus One comes with headphones that do this, but not certain
I have the Holua Skull candy earphones that have a mic and they work really well. The button press will play/pause and answer and hangup calls. Nothing really special other than that.
I am using the set that came with my wife's blackberry (that I just replaced for her with an Incredible) and they work fine with both calls and audio playback. I am not sure that you need any special brand to get to work with your phone.
I just picked up a random $20 set of in-ears with a mic from microcenter, they're marketed for iphone, but worked out of the box.
I think I'm going to buy the Nixon Whip Mic headphones.
I have bought in ear type of headphones from the VZW store that have worked int he past. Too bad I broke them. I stepped up to a bluetooth headset.
I'm using the set from my iPhone until I decide if I will buy the Bose or something else.
has anyone tried the psp go headphones? they work really well on my tp2!
I tried to talk on the phone with a standard set of headphone (no mic) and it worked just fine--the phone uses its mic for calling if no mic is plugged in. YAY.
I'm using the iPhone headphones which work just fine

Im using the moto S-9 stereo bt headphones. Calls sound good and everyone says I come in clear too. A2DP is sweet too for trance/techno and podcasts
Etymotic HF2
I bought them for my Blackberry, I use them for my Droid, my Ipod, for everything.
I use the Motorola S9-HD bluetooth headset.
To me they work great, but the call button does not work correctly with the incredible.
All phones, at least the ones I've used works with the mic and the answer/call/pause/skip/prev/ button. I think that is just a common thing in every chipset of phones or something
South-Wing Bluetooth headset works...
I'm using the SA505 and the sound is terrific + it provides lots of control.
I'd be happy to recommend the MEElectronics AI-M9Ps that I brought for a mere $23.99. Great quality and sound for a decent price. One of the reviews here pretty much nails it:

The problem is much deeper than outrageously small and bad speaker. For Droid X, it was not solved for a year now (same chipset, roughly same weak speaker). In short, TI produced junk instead of a decent DSP for its OMAP36xx family. Then ODMs added junky speakers.
Obviously, not a single one of B&N designers owned a Droid X or 2. Or whatever Droid. Or they didn't really care about, say, audiobooks. So they just worsened the problem placing speaker vents on back plate. The space between the back surface of that single speaker and thick front bezel is obviously stuffed, so what one can do?
(see the rest of the rant, plus possible solutions in my blog fineoils.blogspot.com)
Internal speaker is horrible. Try headphones or get an external speaker.
Here's one I have.

I'm guessing you're talking about the microphone and headset controls. I don't know of any headphones other than the stock ones that come with Milestone that will work, but you can always try.

You can buy any iPhone compatible earphones. The only one with in-line mic and answer button. Not the control talk models (with volume up and down) because it got some problems with our phones. Pay attention for Samsung and Nokia compatible because they don't work: GND and Mic contacs are swapped on them (like OMTP standards and our Milestone is not OMTP compatible).

thread about headphones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738448
just checked with the iPhone hands free its working fine but you may not able to answer call using hands free..
you cant pause music and cant control volume..!!
when you use it,,it changes the track..!
I think there is no standard protocol how head phone control is implemented, iphone head phones would sure onyl work with iphone.
If anyone cares sgs2 headphones are workin to play/pause.
I don't know if they work to answer a call because i don't use headphones to make/answer a call.

I used the ones that came with my Nexus One and they worked just great with Skype.
Yeah I would have to say it does too.
a normal 3.55mm headphone jack feels a tad loose in it.
I got some nice over the ear bluetooth 4.1 headphones today, and none of the audio from videos I watch on my phone, sync with the headphones. When I plug the headphones directly into the phone, the audio is fine. Anything bluetooth it is about a half a second to a second off.
Is there any way to fix it? They are the JBL 700 Elite headphones.
Thanks!

So basically keep bluetooth for music, plug in for video?
its an issue with your headphones. same thing happens with Beats. for some reason watching video using BT creates a audio sync issue... but its not on every headphones.
I don't have any issues with the BT in my car or with my BT headphones. I'm using Samsungs Level U Pro headphones for when I'm at the gym, and they work perfectly, so maybe its your phone that is having the issue?

I am talking about video though. Are you testing it with YouTube, Plex, or a local video?

I'll verify that again when I get home, but I don't remember seeing any audio lag. To be fair the level on U Pro headphones are nice so who knows. I'll let you know in a few hours.

I have LG HBS-730 that I use at work (listen to music, "watch" videos, take calls, etc.) and tested against a number of locally stored (on SD card) video files ranging from low-bandwidth copies of amateur mountain bike videos, to DVD rips of movies (like 5th Element), to a couple 4K video samples. Also tried couple youtube (Danny McAskill Imaginate, some Red Bull Rampage stuff, and one cat video). No apparent sync issues.
Not saying others don't have issues, but it doesn't seem unilaterally broken to me.
My is the US AT&T GS7 Edge, I have a Lexar Professional 1000x 128Gb SD card installed, encryption is DISABLED on the SD card.

FIXED! Apparently there was a huge firmware update recently that fixed this issue. I was holding down the wrong keys to get it to accept firmware.
All is well now
