[Q] [I9001] Temperature problem

Hello everyone!
I noticed a temperature problem while my phone is idle or in use.
After A LOT of tests, I discovered the cause: the radio!
If I have wifi and/or 3g active, after some time the phone become very hot on the back near the camera.
The battery is perfectly cold (even if the radio is draing it like hell: 90% -> 69% in only 1 hour!) so I excluded it.
I have a Galaxy S+ (9001) with CM10a7 by ivendor.
I originally had radio XXKPF and a really bad wifi-stuck problem, so I upgraded to XXKPO. Wifi problem got less frequent, but the heat become more frequent than XXKPF.
I recently (yesterday) tried the BUKP7, but I changed it soon because the phone became so hot that it stop reponding. I'm now with the XXKPM and the problem is slightly less frequent.
For those of you that are using CM10 ivendor and similar roms, what radio is the best?
I'm from Italy if needed.
Thanks :fingers-crossed:
I'm using the XXKPO and everything is ok..

Thanks.
I confirm that XXKPM make my phone hot less frequent than the KPO and BUKP7, but battery drain remains too high
Only thing I can do is a complete wipe/data factory and reinstall the rom from scratch.

!!! Screen crash !!!

Hi guys
I'm running Jellybam on my Note. Have had no problems previously. Lately, when i'm playing a game, the screen will start to flicker then the device shuts itself off.
I know this happens at low battery levels, however, this is happening when my phone is on full or near full charge. It's driving me crazy as I can't play any game for more than a few minutes at a time.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and any solution please?
Try changing kernel and stay at stock freq.
Sent from my HTC One X
This is common with old, degraded battery's. If the battery is more then 1 year old or you use the battery a lot then you will have to change it. A friend had a similar problem and he just bought a new battery.

Phone gets warm after update.

Hello.
I was using evolution HD version 10.2 then 10.3 and every thing was fine until last night when I updated it to version 11.
Straight away i have noticed that the phone is getting very warm which didn't happened before.
It's getting warm even when browsing websites.
So first thing I did was to wipe my phone clean but that didn't help even though I haven't restored anything.
Next i tried installing different roms but heating problem didn't go away.
Can anyone tell me what the problem may be.?
Just tested it on Cyanogenmod and didn't noticed any heating up at all.
Can anyone provide a link to Revolution HD 10.3 as this was working perfectly fine on my phone.
I'm surprised I can't see anyone else complaining about heating up issue with version 11 in Evolution HD thread.
I think it's getting hot because maybe you did a lot of activity once you flashed the Rom...and were you charging your phone by any chance? This is a quad core phone and should get hot with high cpu usage
I know that the cpu can get hot when in use but that didn't happened before when browsin websites.
I was just comparing it with cyanogenmod going from one rom to another and back and with the same activity revolution hd 11 heats up my phone a lot lot more.
And no it wasn't plugged to a charger.

[Q] Any idea what is causing my lockscreen lag?

My phone is only about 3 weeks old now, but after a day or 2 of normal, heavy usage it starts to lag. A reboot always seems to clear up the problem and it runs super fast for the day and then all of a sudden it starts lagging again. It's most notable when I lock the phone and then try to unlock it again within a minute. It just hangs there and won't respond for up to 30 secs or so. It's really frustrating if I get a phone call and try to answer it.
It seems to me that there is something that's running in the background that is eating up resources, but I can't seem to tell what it is. I'm currently running Google Now Launcher, but I've seen the problem with stock TouchWiz as well. Is this a common problem and anyone have a solution for it. I love the phone with this one exception.
Thanks
I'd also like to add that when I go into battery usage, "Android System" seems to be very high. Any ideas what is causing Android System to be my highest battery drain?

[Q] phone heating and battery drain.

Hello all.
Since two days ago my phone started to heat up a lot with simple use (Lte connection and chrome browsing). Also, I noticed that the phone is taking more time to charge and discharging faster.
My phone is not rooted and its running 5.0.1
Anyone have any idea of what can it be and how to fix it?

1. Without any other information to go on this sounds like a classic case of a runaway app.
Check to see what may be using the most battery; force close it, clear the app's cache, uninstall/re-install -- those are the usual techniques.
2. If it is OS related then clearing the Android cache may help.
3. Is the cell signal low? There could be work being done on the local tower if this is only happening in one locale and not wherever you go.
