Hey, I recently bought my note and I was playing around with the photo editor and noticed that when I use the s pen, I can tell that where the pen is touching and where dot is showing up is not at all accurate. It ends up being approx 2mm right of where the pen touches.
Is there a way to calibrate the pen? Is anyone noticing this on their note?

Yes, this question has already been asked a thousand times and no, there is no way of calibrating so far, sorry.

I guess we have to wait for the pen sdk then? Thanks for the reply btw. An admin can delete this thread if anything.

I dont have a note but if you turn off and on rotation and turn the phone a few times or something like that it should fix it.

That happens to me when i'm not holding the Note completely in vertical position.
Since its been discussed earlier OK anyways here is d solution for that. Open s memo tilt the phone to landscape and touch or make a small circle in all the corner and again tilt it portrait and do the same. This makes good.

Hello everyone,
I was so excited to get my note 2 until i came upon the following issue.
I am having a dead zone on my note 2 screen. Whenever I try to write somthing on that zone, nothing is detected. I have to press harder on the pen to make it wite there. And when it does write the handwriting is weird and and inaccurate.
For example: when i try to draw a straight line over that dead zone, the line becomes curvy.
Also when I hover over the dead zone, the pointer moves further away
What is really weird, that issue only happens when i use the s pen. When i used my finger the screen responds perfectly with no issue what so ever.
I tried calibrating gyroscope, restarting, but that did not help.
Anyone knows whats going on?

So you have a case with a magnetic clasp, this will throw off the spen at the spot closest to the magnet.

A had this problem, thank you for the info :good:
I came across this a few days ago. Its the HM5100 BT S Pen from Samsung. Im really interested in it but since it was only a parting gift for attendees at one of Samsung's events, its limited availability and I see it selling for almost $200 on ebay. I'm wondering...is its worth that much?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
It's also a Bluetooth mic and speaker, multipurpose. I can see it being valued at $200. Worth that much is debatable.
117$ shipped
Original Note 2 S-Pen costs 32 euro in the Netherlands, available in white and grey.
This is for 10.1..i have the normal s pen with eraser for note 10.1 which i try to use it on note 2..i found when drawing or write something, its off set a little bit..i even try original S pen 10.1 in its slot..same result..off set..not convinient when writing something..idk if S pen with bluetooth is same off set..it looks like s pen for note 2 is different

I know. I got a lot of info on it and I'm just about pushed to get it but I don't want to be disappointed with the usability at that price.

Thanks. I didn't think of that. I don't see any option to calibrate it either. I may have to look into this some more before I pull the trigger.

I've seen on other sites that Samsung will most likely release this pen for purchase as well. The good packaging also leads me to believe this might be true. I like the idea of the bigger pen, but the phone call feature seems kind of pointless. 130 seems a bit high though... Also seems like sort of a burden unless there is a case you can store it in as well, otherwise just another component to bring with you.
Speaking on the topic of pens!
I have a couple all-white, axiotron pens from using it with my ASUS EP121 tablet. I noticed that they work in a similar fashion as the SPen does but one thing that they do that the SPen does not is an erase feature! I can flip around the pen and use the other side to erase what I have drawn but the SPen can't do that... I tried to use the link to find the pens that I bought but the link is not working anymore!
Just a heads up, that there are pens out there that can give you an easy 'erase' feature if you're using the device for a lot of drawing/sketching.

No. No notification features. I think I might have it already if it included those features.

For that amount of money it's NOT worth it to me.
I'd just get a regular BT headset and go hands free. and use the SPen built into my phone.
Just got one!
I just received mine! I'm currently in Europe, so I got it from Amazon Germany for about 55 Euros, which s still cheaper than the cheapest order possibility in the states.
Anyway, I bought it for my Note 10.1 3G, but since that has been borrowed by the GF, I just paired it with my Note 2. Paired fine, calls seem OK,
However, the S Pen part won't work on my Note 2 when my original S Pen is attached to the phone. Only when I remove my factory S Pen, then the BT S Pen works on the screen.
Anyone else have this problem? If yes, were you able to find a workaround?
I want to be able to use the BT S Pen without having to detach the original one - seems ridiculous that it won't work like this.
I've used it and can't seem to see how it works. Can anyone explain?

It's screen time out if you set it for 1 minute the screen will go of in a minute
I know what screen time out is I'm asking about the auto sleep setting within it. It's the first phone I've seen with auto sleep. Not counting touchwiz smartstay. I'm wondering how it takes effect.

I saw someone ask this before, and someone answered it works off the G-sensor, based on their testing. So keep the phone moving, or not on a flat surface, and it stays on longer. If you keep moving the phone, it shouldn't shut off. Place it on a flat horizontal surface, and notice the light dim almost instantly.

I asked the same question a while ago and the answer I ended up with was that
"It uses the gyroscopes to determine if the phone is being held vertical, or laying down horizontal. If it's laying down, the time out should be 15 seconds. If in a vertical position, it should be a minute."
Thanks for the response guys.

So this means its a better option than Galaxy's smart stay ?
Hi guys just wondering I've switched off always in display right from the box because I was worried about burn in but after seeing my friends s8 plus always on display I feel I'm missing out lol
My question does always on display have any way of creating screen burn in of any sorts or degrade the quality of the display quicker then normal
Thanks
It's always in a different location to prevent burn in.

Thx, don't know how the heck I missed it!
In my settings, there's no option to have it move all over the screen. Is it that subtle that I dont see it move around? I like the AOD but I dont know how it cant create a chance of screen burn-in
It can be a very subtle move but it is definitely moving. You may not notice it. Sometimes I'll see it move about an inch, but other times not at all that I can tell. Enjoy your AOD, it won't burn into your display.
I'm terrified to leave my house in case I get eaten by a Llama.
some people .....
I've experienced the burn in screen with galaxy s8. The burn in started first in the place of home button and navigation bar then spread to the lower half of the screen. So now I deactivated AOD and navigation bar in my note9.
Sorry for my bad english
