Hi all this is my first post on here and nee some help please.
I have just installed the latest jh firmware from samfirmwares using odin3.
I now need help with rooting and applying a lag fix to the phone. I have tried using the oclf app from android market but i think thats just for 2.1?
Can some one please do me an 'idiots step by step guide' please as im really not up to speed with all this stuff.
I did manage to get the root and lag fix working when i was on jm5 (using the oclf app) but dont know what i need to do with the latest firmware.
I like the jh firmware but would like to have it a little quicker.

I have a problem... this afternoon i updated my firmware with kies because there was an update... But something went wrong and my phone wouldn't boot anymore
I searched the internet for a solution... and i want to restore my firmware...
i found the websites wuala.com and samfirmware.com and samsung-firmware.webs.com... The last one is offline though...
So i wanted to try a firmware but i don't know which is the best for me... i found the country codes on samfirmware.com but that didn't help... i still don't know which one i need!!!

I was wondering are there any other dutch people here or anyone else who can help me?? im have like no experience in firmwares and stuff.. i learned how to flash the firmware on your mobile but i just don't know which one i need...

Hi all, ok ive decided to try and root my samsung galaxy s running 2.3.3 gingerbread build XWJVH ,can anybody reccommend a custom rom for me, ive looked at Darky and looks quite good, any feedback please, i used to have a hero and rooted that ok but im a bit confused how to to go about rooting the galaxy s as dont wana brick it, hope to get some help soon and thankyou from Brian

I would personally recommend using Darkys 10.2. Since you haven't rooted your phone you will have to download this version:

I really need some help here, I tried replying in som threads but I didn't get any answer, so I really hope someone can help here.
For several reasons, I need to revert my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 back to original firmware.I need PDA file XXJVH, but I have not been able to find it. Can anyone tell me where I can find it? I really need this and I am willing to do everything to get help. Also, is it possible to save downloaded firmwares from Kies?

Hi, I am using a SAMSUNG GALAXY SIII LTE,.
I was trying to unroot my phone using Odin, to flash a STOCK firmware.
I flashed "I9305XXBMD5_I9305OLBBME1_I9305XXBMD5_HOME.tar.md5"
and it was a success. So, I was running STOCK and has no CWM or whatsoever.
But when it rebooted, I was stuck on the animation, "SAMSUNG".
what should I do. PLEASE HELP.

Which ROM, STOCK, or the Custom ROM that i was using previously. If its the STOCK one, I've tried it many times already.
I Solved the thing already.
