hi ! i installed Gueste2X v3.0 Hybrid Revolution which has EX4 .. i wanted to go back to the stock via a nandroid backup .. but sadly i downloaded and flashed a backtoEx3 for the G2x ! now i cant boot into recovery and i have a boot loop ! any ideas ?
I guess that you already tried pulling your battery. Can you get your phone to software upgrade screen? Pull battery and insert usb cable. Boot phone with volume key pressed. If this works you can for example nvflash your device.

With phone off hold volume down and pwer button down until a different lg logo appears then you will get to the recovery

Hope it helps....
Maybe you can try the nvflash method to save your phone
make sure the drivers and bin rom are ready in your computer
take off the battery
press the volume up and power key to connect to the computer

I do not guarantee the solution, but you both selected something for the g2x

I tried to use Gingerbreak to root my phone, and everything appeared to be successful. I then tried to use Rom Manager to install CWM. Apparently my phone wasn't rooted properly. I'm now stuck in a bootloop (it goes until the LG logo with the bar underneath)
I think you might have the same issue as the post below you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1549966
So please excuse me if I just paste my post over:
Hmm... we might need more details.
What was the version of clockworkmod you used?
Did you do a nandroid backup?
Did you install a custom ROM? Or you were just turning your phone on?

It happens when I'm trying to install CWM from Rom Manager. I fixed it and tried to install CWM and its stuck in the bootloop again. Everything is stock and the phone was rooted this morning through Gingerbreak.
I fixed the bootloop again. Plug it in the computer and hold power and vol down.

So... how do you "fix" it?
Also, make sure you're downloading the right version for the right model. Whether you have the O2X p990, or the G2X p999, or the O2X su660.

So is it fix now? Phone is working well now?
It is, but I can't install recovery without going into a bootloop.

Cool. My problem is, if I turn on my phone, it will stuck in LG logo with colored light on background. Btw, my phone is LG Optimus 2x P990. Have you experienced that kind of problem too?
You can try install CWM via PC. I have done this.
try using nvflash to restore your phone

Have you tried using the LG update tool?that should settle most of the issues...
if you have recovery, try using the Back to EXT3 which will wipe all the user data and apps....and then flash the custom ROM one more time to check
hi all, i have almost the same problem.
i used chuck norris 1.5 with etana kernel, then i flashed synobsis 1.2 and after that my phone dosent boot. so i tray to go back to an old back up, but with power and volume down i cant enter the cwm.

Just reflash back to Froyo using nvflash and start from the beginning and up, your phone should be fine.

Hi All,
I'm in trouble with my P990.
i was using offical cm10 nightlies for a while and i updated new official cm10 nightlies. After update phone opened and 5 minutes later screen frozen. i removed battery and put it again. But phone not opened again.
I tried NVFlash but NVflash stuck on "waiting for bootloader to initialize" message.
How can i handle this situation.?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Maybe try to flash any rom with SmartFlash
1.Take out battery
2.replace battery
3.hold Vol- (volume down button) AND power button together until you see the recovery menu. then scroll to Cm updater file and reflash -or- clockwork mod file and flash from backup.
No way!!
When i tried Smartflash pc not found com ports. so i cant flash with this way.
also i tried (JAZZMAN's advice) power and vol- to enter CWM menu but i cant see any thing. (my phone not open)

but then i did a hard boot (volume down+ power key) and i wiped all data en factory reset (i thought to get the stock rom back) i rebooted my phone and then the cyanogenmod coms its spins 2,5 times and than i sort of crashes and then a little white screen and then it keeps spinning forever i can do nothing ! the only thing i can do is volume down + power key and there is the lg recovery things ( but there's that where i wiped the cache and factory reset) & i can with fastboot within cmd command i can get in the mobile thing i tried even abn install cm10.1.zip but then i says no androidmanifest.xml i dont know what to do ! is my phone broken? if i get in the cwm i can restore the backup and then evrything is fine ! please help me !

You just rooted, but didn't unlock the bootloader? If you want to install CWM on this device you HAVE to unlock the bootloader first!
And do you see the 1st bootlogo (not moving one) or the 2nd bootlogo (this logo is moving)?
Try to pull out your battery for at least 10 seconds, then plug it in again and start flashing a new KDZ, I guess there will be no other way, since the recovery will be corrupt...
Do you see two red lines at top . If so your bootloader is locked and don't allow cwm recovery to work Try use power + vol up while phone connected to pc it should get you to so called recovery mode from there try reboot and it should work then you have to unlock bootloader to get cwm recovery to work
Another thing I didn't try myself but installing cwm recovery is replacing file dev/block/mmcblk0p1
Maybe if you have the original file copy it over there return you back to stock recovery
