for developers and rom makers:
- pls kindly let me know or put my name in your post if you put this mod into your roms so that i know who is using it. this is because experiences in the sgs2 one tell me users will only ask for help in your thread and they even dont know which gallery they r using, since most of the roms just put the words "bravia engine" or "new gallery" and that's all. i cannot, and in fact impossible, to read every post in every thread to help them to solve the problems. what i want is to consolidate the questions and problems so that they can be identified easily, and to help ppl to solve the problems. thank you
a few notes for users:
- ALWAYS DO A BACKUP FIRST!!
- pls, pls forget anything u've seen before about the bravia engine and forget about the prop files. there is NO NEED to modify any file yourself to make it works
- if u wanna use the bravia engine to render/redraw ur wallpaper, u need to pick the wallpaper again in my modded gallery since the existing wallpaper is cached/stored and the system will not re-generate the wallpaper each time the phone boots up
- all steps in the installation guide for sgs2 should be the same for sgn and so far i couldnt find any difference between them
- the only difference i observed is about the performance. in sgs2, the image will be rendered almost instantly (on my modded sgs2 at least, i dono how it performs in stock rom). but on this sgn (not tuned yet), the image will be rendered piece by piece from the bottom right to the top left and u can see that visually
i am going to release the sony bravia engine gallery mod for galaxy note later tonite HKT
this is an incomplete but working demo for implementing Sony Bravia Engine in Gallery3D on Samsung Galaxy S2 for Gingerbread/ICS and Galaxy Note. once you have installed it, your existing Gallery3D WILL BE REPLACED by this demo. note that no performance or memory tweaks, stress tests, etc were performed in this demo, and bugs or force closes are expected but not observed so far

I had a xperia x10 and flash almost every rom on it. But for x10 i can say one thing.
It is a placebo and the differents is not noticeble. Its a xperia sail trick.

i was having xperia x10 and i did not notice any difference though....anyways since, it doesnt harm, so i will try it...i tried even when i was on SGS2

Luckily most of the modders out there have already included this into their builds, like rocketmod

i don mind u guys saying it's a placebo, for now (sorry, i mean since u don have a chance to try it out yet, i wont mind if u think it's another fake mod. but u will change ur mind )

Clicked on the above link and one of the pictures and then AVG picked up a 'threat'.
Moved it to vault and will not return to that link.

could it be false alarm? coz my blog has more than 280k visits but no one complaint about this before
or improper/suspicious ad shown by the image hosting? if this is the case, i'll definitely sort it out. any info appreciated

do not use it in any ics rom. it's for gingerbread only. ics roms require different modifications
it should be running properly on all 2.3.6 roms as the sgs2's version does, provided that the required samsung files needed by the stock gallery3d are there
but it wont run on miui/cm/aosp, etc if they do not use stock samsung frameworks/libs

this section of development is full of CM 7.2 rom with a theme applied, and some scripts, nothing original. there are 3 devs in here that really did a great job, 1 of them is neko

i think cm7 rc1 has that issue
cm 7 rc0 has exposures fixed

Elecont Weather
Can't install Elecont weather 4.1.2. neither from apk nor from titanium backup. Every time it shows "app not installed".Can anybody tell me why though its not a that big issue!!

If you trully weren't, then you wouldnt have posted here.
It could be a placebo, it might be not. There's no way to know until you try it yourself.
I'm just waiting for it to become AOSP-compatible. Then it will work on all the imilka/m3dd0g/neobuddy/miui roms.

so u just "think" it is a placebo for this reason?
the screen it self is only a hardware device to display the outputs.
so even if you got the best speakers in the world, u wont gain with a nomal cd player or fm/mono radio for instance
but, of coz, i don mind if ppl don like it since ppl have different preferences

[MOD][Xposed] CRT off Animation effect for Xperia Z

For those who does not know what it is: CRT OFF ANIMATION VIDEO. it is not my video. Credits below.
For those who wants the CRT - OFF ANIMATION effect on their Xperia Z can give this a go. It worked on mine so hopefully it will work on yours. Very very simple steps. Did alot of testing with other methods, including the framework res crap, and didnt work well, and the build prop edit crap, didnt go well either. This method seems to work better.
First of all, tested on my device: Xperia Z, deodexed stock base running on 4.2.2. I do not know whether it will work for you or not. Test it out yourself.

Known Bugs: none so far, tested for 2 hours. No flickering issues or what ever.​
Instructions:
Do a full backup through recovery if you want, if you feel insecure.
Download XposedInstaller_2.1.4.apk and XposedTweakbox_1.4.0.apk, both by rovo89 (credits goes to him ), for extra add ons you can also try ClockColorMod_1.4.6.apk by FemBlack and hush66 for finding it
Copy and paste both files into your phone.
From your phone, navigate to settings > security > check the unknown sources.
Use root explorer or whatever and navigate to the two/three files you've downloaded and install them.
Run XposedInstaller and run "install/update", after its completed successfully, reboot your phone.
Run XposedInstaller again, click on modules in the tabs section, and check XposedTweakBox.
Run XposedTweakBox or ClockColorMod and click on CRT Effect and check CRT off effect, then reboot your phone.

Its IZS v2 exactly the same except it is completely themed and has some of his apps,wich can be deleted in system/app with a root explorer,i think its worth it,u can change whatever u want in the rom,install your busybox your rot app delete system apps u dont wanna,if u dont how to do those things use izs v2.

It know how to do "these" things but why should I install a rom full of services or applications I do not use.
I just bought a moto g. Maybe I test this rom out for my old P970. For my old phone I want a ready to rock
rom.

Its this site if u click on his name u will see his older releases,its not a new rom he just uploaded his files there cause its just izs v2 themed and with some of his appz.

okay booting now....
bootlogo: arei and chinese symbols....
first boot took 3,5 min until setup screen
languages: english, german a few european and chinese and a few I do not understand
okay first problem data connection does not work out of the box.
Just edited the settings manual and I have a data connection now.
Wifi working.
Looking at the apps now...
4 chinese apps can be just uninstalled
2 more can be deactivated
I activated swap
rebooting now....
ahhh now it is fast...
musicplayer nothing to special, dolby mobile for headphones included
lyrics to but not working for me
all apps have a nice clean bright ui. Stock LG with a small modification.
But until now it is just izsv2 with a theme.
the only difference between the normal izsv2 and this one are the chinese applications and a theme.
I like the apps he included but after all they are in chinese and i do not understand them.
He included a iphone like launcher.
He included the "round corner" app but in chinese too.
The only thing i am missing in stock izs is his custom "iNoty" notification bar.
It has a nice theme and a calendar. But on the other side the quick buttons are missing on this one.
After I removed the chinese apps I got izs with a theme.

Its a nice theme nonetheless,thanks for the screenshots mate,dialer is amazing i hope i had a themer like that in s2 thread,i like his taste,what about miui official have u tried that is camera quality fixed?

I do not like miui...
but the cam in this rom is great, top speed and themed too

is it possible to have the theme as a seperate flashable zip?
