hello guys, today i was charging my phone while using it, and my hand slipped and the cable just came off, it wasnt at an angle or anything but it was quite sudden, and now i notice a thin hairline on the usb port, i would like to ask is it a crack, can other lg optimus 2x users verify that there actually is a white hairline on the usb port, thx
p.s. i would try to take a picture with a camera, if anyone can post a pic of the usb port for me to compare would be very much appreciated
i dont mean to bump this thread, can somebody pls help to take a closeup pic of their micro usb port of the phone
I can't post a picture but my usb port has a very thin gap in the upper side

Yup same here, a little to the left. If this is what you have then you have nothing to worry about. My phone is brand new.

move it just a little to the right... now it's against a white background...
and here it is again:
This image is from earlier today... no marks!!
Yes , and may God have mercy on its soul.
Seriously though - I dunno. It doesnt look good, thats for sure. Are you pressing it hard when taking the pics ? Have you tried with the back cover off ? Did you try upgrading the camera software ?
In the camera app, try to put the white balance to auto and y menu, advanced, second page put flicker adjustment to auto.
Regards.
yeah actually those pics were taken with the camera cover off except the one earlier that day when it was working fine.
This morning I woke up, tried using my camera again, and it was back to normal!
very strange...
dude youe camera is better than my kaiser's camera
dont worry about it, try taking the cover of the battery and take some shots (compare difference)... the plastic protectant lens (external) is pretty rubbish so any scratch even if tiny will cause problems
nb. nice celing mobile

I have the same problem when looking at the LCD, but it doesn't show up in the picture itself. I don't know its very weird. Its like your 2nd and 3rd picture.
I saw a similar dock on youtube (thanks for the author), it was plain and functional.
Made mine with a little more fun.
There is a lego guy "in control" when docked.
He is really enjoying the big screen!
Have to find a magnet to try the docking feature of defy. There is room for the magnet...
If you like it, build your own and hit thanks.

I tried that too but it don´works verry good becaus the usb cable pushed the phone out of the Dock
To do this you'd have to have some curved cable I think... or the dock could be a bit higher so the cable would fit under it, but then it wouldn't be small good looking dock, but a big block dock
how to make to show only picture on dock??
Thanks a lot
I did load that wallpaper as image with the gallery to make the photos.
So I did not make any automtism there.
I try to find the wallpper and post it here as I saw there was a request for it...
The wallpaper
And here it is...

The edge under the power button looks pretty rough also.
The One mini M4 suffered from this and has cracks all along the outside plastic band.

Thank you mate I know that problem. I've had like four or five Mini's and they all had the exact same issue and got replaced over and over again until I decided to give it away and upgrade to the bigger sibbling.
I stil have no clue how to repair this frame.. A friend has had the same problem and his powerbutton broke. And without this button the phone is kind of useless..
Hey guys!
My phone started having troubles with the touch (how unexpected right?)
Well, the thing is, when I was gonna remove the digitizer connector cable, I tried pulling the black plastic thing backwards instead of flipping it up.
Reason I did this was because I've repaired a few laptops and they had the type of connector were you pull the plastic thing back to release the connector.
The black plastic thing broke off in half so now I can't securely connect the digitizer anymore.
So, question is, can I get a replacement? I took one from another old HTC phone but it's not the correct one. (Lenght wise is correct, but not with the holes for the pins)
At 1:54 it shows the thing I'm talking about.
Youtube link (imbedded link didnt work)
Also attaches a printscreen of it for less hassle.

The black plastic piece that shows is the one I'm talking about!
Better view:
I don't even know the name of these parts so I don't even know what to search for. Please help me out guys.
Probably best way is to buy a new complete connector and remove the black plastic piece and fasten it onto the phones one.
Kind regards,
Tony
EDIT: Note sure if it's the same, but found this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pcs-Clamshell-Type-Bottom-Port-6Pin-0-5mm-Pitch-FFC-FPC-Sockets-Connector-/231679255046?hash=item35f128e206:g:ry4AAOSwHnFV7Psd
Is this the same type?
Nobody?
Hi everyone
I picked up a used 8.4 T700 and from time to time it has some LCD flickering.
Is the problem in this case the mainboard for the tablet or the LCD panel itself?
Hope to squeeze a little bit of life more from it.
Thanks!
Try re-seating the FFC ribbon cable for the display.
Use care opening the locking mechanism on the FFC socket, they are easily broken (use a spudger or tweezers)
