With the LG tool, I think no hardreset is performed, so it is useless, if your phone is bricked. So pls change the title to something like: How TO Flash back stock ROM, cause unbricking is a whole other topic

Are you going in S/W upgrade mode for NVFlash? Thats wrong. You have to to in APX mode for NVFlash. SW Upgrade mode is for SmartFlash, not applicable here.
Check my current signature to find how to go in APX mode and install APX drivers. Screen is blank(looks like switched off) when you go in APX mode.

and another mistery????
how come you can post in dev section with only 3 posts?
look at his date of join.It is hard to believe his no. of posts in that amount of time.
Confirmed working.
Side info: had problems with recovery driver , I needed to reinstall drivers and then when connected to pc I needed to run true all the usb connection options like , charging only , mass storage , tethering ,... this way it started to install all different drivers.
I received ICS update today when connecting to the LG update tool , it said a update was available and warned me to remove external SD while it was going to update to ICS.
Removed the external and started the update , (V30a android 4.0.4 was what I received) , Then I reconnected the phone and it installed PC sync for ICS and blablabla.....
I gotta say it is really smooth.
Anyone could say how long to wait until its save to stop the Nvflash?
Its now over 1-2 hour and seems not to happen anything anymore.
And i did that nvflashing often before. The driver is the same as last time.
No problems in device manager. Its an XP Laptop without any Antivirus or Firewall.
I had the latest rooted nvflash version on my LG P990 before that.
In the CMD window it tells only Nvflash started and the Display shows:
"S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading".
Never had that before and i am a bit nervous to kill it
But i think i read somewhere i can do it again also if i stoped it.
---edit---
Ok i stoped and redid it. Also made wipe with cwm.
But this flash isnt working for me.
I get:
"failed executing command 14 NvError 0x120000
command failure: partition download failed"
I tryed to give it an external SD, full wipe and cache wipe. Nothing.
Error stay BUT only with this flash offert here.
I had a backup flash of 20L and that could be flashed without any problem.
I had adroid 2.3.4
1035.21_20110725
kernel 2.6.32.5
===FINAL EDIT===
Going back to official 2.2.2 changed nothing! This "easy way didnt work for my P990
Solution:
Smartflash worked fine!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028946
Bin+FLS flash
Rooting
As mentioned Solution 1 here didnt work at all. Cant say why.
I tryed really a lot and spent to much time on that topic.
Wasnt as easy as before on 2.x.x...and none of the 3 Solutions worked for me!
But a combination works fine.
The Solution 3 didnt work for me.
"=3= (thanks to joiN85)" didnt work...got a boot loop ((
Solution 2 "=2= (thanks to RobYyY)" worked half...
but i had to use the "Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed-tradotto.zip"
on an external sd and not the SuperSU Root.zip.
Finally a hint that i is very important:
Dont forget to set the correct Date and Time or google will
Display a connection error.
Great work and sooooo fast... I wanne say thank you for everyone
who made it possible. Good work!

You updated the phone with a different KDZ from where you bought the phone, so you wont receive any OTA updates... nor Lg pC suite and lg mobil tool will give you the update you actually want.
I know this is an old thread but better to ask here than start a new thread... I'm getting the not registered yet error even though I flashed the correct 20B kdz for my phone by checking my IMEI. I mean I know I can just flash kdz's of future versions, I never actually use the OTA feature, but I'm still curious why I'm getting the error.
Two reasons for this error:
1. Different region software you flashed than yours phone
2. Phone is developer edition aka "not for sale", than you need to use .dz not .kdz

Neither of these are the case with my phone. As I said, I flashed the kdz specified in http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=MY_IMEI and it's not a developer edition.

Ok, that is interesting because if you downloaded kdz with your IMEI from official server, than your device is recognized from LG! Did you try to check you phone and software status with official LG Sync software or LGMobile Support Tool!
First you can try to clear cache and factory reset from recovery.
Second If you dont get this error with LGMobile support tool you can try to reflash with phone recovery option and then check via Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check now for update again.
1. turn off phone, remove battery for few minutes
2. download lg flash tool from lg site, install it
3. in LGmobile Support Tool manually install drivers, need to click install drivers, select your model, wait to finish installation
4. with no battery in phone, hold volume- and in same time connect phone to pc, whait to pc recognize the phone and than put battery back to phone(if you get colored screen try with battery in phone and volume-)
5. in LGmobile Support Tool in Customer support menu select "phone recovery" and do what LGmobile Support Tool ask you to do

I have the same problem. I think the stupid thing I did was to install V20a without rooting the phone. Now I cant root it. IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.ap would not run and when I try to recover either with LGflashboot or LG firmware recovery I get the same error message "morning call is empty" (very strange error message). I can go back to v20a but since I am not completely happy with it I would like to resolve it. Is there any chance to fix it? I am not very confident to format bootload or installing custom ROM.
Thanks

You cannot root the phone on V20a using IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk, since that file is used for versions V10x. Check out this link for rooting V20a: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688

Uninstall all drivers and folders like "LG United Mobile Driver" and "LG USB Modem Driver".
Re-install the drivers:
http://www.4shared.com/file/rPpP2btT/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN3.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/ZSMf2x6n/LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_.html
Take out the battery, press "Power Button" (just to discharge all phone components), put the battery back on the phone.
Press "Vol-" and connect to PC. Wait while windows detect the device and search in windows update for possible new drivers.
Windows won't find a thing but will take some time while trying...
After that you should be OK.
Just did similar to my phone and followed the advice in this thread - now sorted. Thanks guys you rock!
if u epic fail to manually force the drivers in just install android jdk open it and update it.

Help, Hardbrick LG L90

Hello guys, i'm new here. First of all english is not my native language so sorry if i make any mystakes.
I flashed my phone to Lollipop. Then i tried to install twrp (with Flashify) recovery so then i could install Xposed... but the thing is that i may have used the wrong file..
My phone doesn't start. The only sign of live that it gives is when i plugged it to the PC, the pc makes the usual sound when you plug a USB. And it shows my phone as a usb with 63MB of storage (obviouly my phone has more storage). And when i go to Disk admin it shows me all the partitios that my phone has.
Also in Devices admin it shows my phone as: LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM6)
Do you know what can i do to unbrick my phone? :crying::crying:
LG D410H with lollipop 5.0
Did you unlocked the bootloader before flashing twrp?
Did you tried to hold vol + and plug USB cable to enter in download mode?

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Yes i have tried that already. Nothing seems to work :crying:
When i tried Volume up and plug the cable it shows nothing in my phone's screen. Just in my PC i sounds like a disconected or connected device
You probably flashed the wrong bootloader, which is a fatal error.
I know users that managed to recover other phones from this brick with LGBoardDiag as explained in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/fix-unbrick-lg-g2-stuck-qualcomm-hs-usb-t2933830
I don't know how to get this TOT file, but the same partitions shown can be retrieved from your KDZ in BIN extension with LGFirmwareExtract, I think it's just a matter of renaming the files.

I found this interesting topic, you probably can recover from this brick to allow you to enter in download mode using LGFlashTool (not the one that flashes KDZ) like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475045
But we still need this TOT file and the DLL for your D410H that I do not know where to find or to create from the KDZ.

also i have found not the TOT file but this thread:

I meant that will lead you to a working download mode, which is enough to restore everything, including partition table.
I have a suggestion, you said Windows detects as a mass storage unit, can you boot Linux and follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 to see if can see all the partitions?
If yes, it's just a matter of extracting the KDZ of your variant and flashing the said partitions to get a working download mode to make a complete kdz flash.
