[Q] apps incompatible with NOTE - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Apps that are compatible with my Note somehow appear incompatible the moment I try a paid version of them. Sounds creasy that free versions are compatible but paid versions are not. Hope this gets fixed soon. It is very frustrating. Could anyone suggest a way of fixing this?

[Q] DENIED! P1010 on the Android Market

The Android Market is hiding many apps from Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1010 devices... they say it because the apps are incompatible with the device because it is not a phone, just a tablet. But those same hidden apps are available to other tablets and show up for them, plus I've downloaded several of these supposed incompatible apps on other devices, transfer to the P1010, installed and they work fine???... what's going on with that... anyone know what's really going on?

I don't have a p1010,just a gsm tab but I also get incompatibility message because of my present location as indicated on my gmail account I use to access the market.
Try to use market enabler.
When you post apps on Android market it tells you which hardware requirement does the device need to meet to run this app. Sometimes the requirement is just touchscreen or location sensor etc, but sometimes it is more than that. Maybe some sort of error and your device isnt on the list of devices which show up after the filter is applied.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
If I root with z4, is there a way for me to have my p1010 identify itself as a p1000 so that I spoof the market?

Some apps not compatible

Not sure which Nightlies, but noticed lots of apps on PlayStore are not compatible. Anyone else notice or know why they are not available on PlayStore?
For example, most Glu games are not available anymore.
I am currently on the 7/7 nightly.
This has been a known issue, especially on games. The Touchpad isn't an official Android device and uses a rather generic identifying name in Google Play so some apps show as non compatible. You either have to acquire the apk elsewhere or change the build.prop to something with similar hardware to the Touchpad that is an official device.

Thought I might suggest the market fix option in Chainfire3D.... I have no idea what Glu games are, but it works for others...
Thanks for the info! I'll look into it some more.

Missing Gear apps from Samsung store

I have a gear that is connected to a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, that is 3g connected (SM-P601, I think).
The gear and the note work together just fine. The only issue is that there seems to be only 8 apps that appears from the Samsung store (when I enter it from the Gear Manager app). It is not only extremely limited, but much less than most people seem to be saying that they see in the online store.
What would be the issue here? Even apps like Ebay, Vivino, Life360, Banjo, etc, are missing. Does anyone else experience the same phenomenon here? Does anyone know what might be the issue here?
So I would like to know how many apps people normally see in the Samsung app store.
Thanks in advance.
Seems to depend on location and/or device. Check the Samsung store via the internet to see all the apps
Most are posted in this forum too

Cool thanks for the tip.
I'm in the US, although the Note is an unlocked international version. Not sure if that makes a difference, or if the samsung online store decided to shortchange me.

Several different apps crashing due to Xposed Framework.

So, I believe I have done my due diligence and have discovered that XF is causing several apps and system apps to crash. After un-install of XF the apps all work flawless. The same issue occurs when modules are disabled yet XF is running. The apps that are affected are 500px, Grand St, Instagram (intermittently), Flipboard and stock Gallery app. I am running Galaxy S3 4.4.2 and am rooted. I noticed this around the summer of 2014 give or take a month or two. I have had a replacement phone sent from my carrier and issues still exist. I have tried to downgrade the framework however I can't seem to do so( XF will ask to upgrade). Perhaps v2.71 will fix this? Who knows
what is the question?
Hey Dan, well I thought I would put this issue out there since the support page for XF states that if there are issues it should be put forth to the public. I suppose my question is if there are others experiencing similar issues and might there be a resolution out there.

I'd suggest you grab a logcat (if you don't know how to do that, there are many tutorials around; you can do it using the CatLog app if your device is rooted) as soon as an app force closes, so that you can verify Xposed is causing the crashes (it might just be a coincidence).
Hi and thank you for your response. I have uninstalled each module from XF which are not many and the apps continue to force close. I delete XF and the apps that are work perfectly. I am also on a stable version of XF and have tried to downgrade to a previous version when my apps were not being force closed however XF does not allow this. Just putting this info out there that perhaps the developer(s) might resolve the issue.
Can you post a logcat after one of the apps force close?

Altspace VR - Convert phone into thinking it's a Pixel?

I see that AltspaceVR is out for Android but despite setting my Nexus 6 as daydream compatible (see here for details http://pixelgooglenexus.blogspot.com/2016/12/how-to-get-daydream-working-on-any.html) it still says device incompatible despite all other Daydream apps working. I got older apks working but they updated since.
Also, I edited build.pro to say I'm a Pixel XL but still no luck in the playstore.
Any chance someone can share the latest APK installer?

One of the major issues you might be having is that the app is programed for a 64 bit system and the n6 is 32 bit. This is an issue that many see coming and happening with a few other apps.
