Do you have Google Talk Application running?
I mean... must be Google Talk that keeps doing the focus's sound of the camera.
If your Milestone is overclocked, it means it will activate the hardware.
Though it is weird that making the Camera mechanical tuning... But not quite often.
Basically it will once MS is in booting progress.
Ok no prob I wil try uninstalling gtalk n see stil thanks

My accelerometer has stopped working. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything I can do or do I need to send it back under warranty?
Edit:running froyo.

Bump, anyone?

Perhaps try the calibration tool in Froyo (in settings)?
What I would try too when these things happen is completely reboot the device (and also remove the battery for a while).
Just tried this no luck. Looks like warranty it is.

Mine too. I noticed that it helps to restore the settings. Could this be caused by installing a program, for example, Press Reader?
This happened to me a while back, I just re-flashed and it worked again.
You didn't hit the button in the notification drawer did you?
These things rarely flat out break (unless you have an iPhone). Reflashing should do it.

Hi guys,
My camera works good with the stock camera app, but when other apps, like barcode scanners, try to use the camera, i get a force close message.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I'm using darky's rom.
P.s. my English isn't that good, because I'm Dutch.

Install the better blur camera if you are rooted.
Sent from my XT862 using XDA App
Root your phone, install mav rom, ATRIX camera, and build prompt changes, then it will be faster than the RAZR's

Its my sisters phone I know nothing about the d3 or the brick chances so without knowing much about it I can't tell her to void her warranty if you see where I'm coming from

Okey dokey, then update to this leaked update, its leaked so its not supported but not rooted, this will make the cam twice as fast {in my opinion}

good suggestions. I also notice my camera is pretty laggy. Will try a new app as well.
It seems a lot of the time is spent focusing. I use Camera 360, which lets me select a spot on the preview to screen to focus beforehand, then it takes photos more quickly. (Not enabled by default.) Not a perfect solution, but it helps.
Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have the desire c (branded to 3 and rooted) it has worked great for awhile but recently the screen keeps going into landscape and getting stuck there (even when holding it up right) I've tried turning auto rotate off but it still happens usually a restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. I found a app on the market that can force it back into portrait but then I can't make some apps full screen like YouTube. I've tried a factory reset a few times both through settings and by pushing power and volume up but not long after it starts happening again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks.

Maybe you should backup your current rom, and then install a custom one maybe some files relating to the sensors could be corrupt.
Thanks i may try using a generic rom to see if it fixes it. What's the best way to back up my current rom? Gonna need to go back to it if I have to sent it off to get fixed.

Well I tried nameless Rom but it didn't fix it so looks like I'm gonna have to send my phone off for repair

Try calibrating your sensors.

Thanks I tried that but no luck the odd thing is the sensor seems to work cause I can play that game where you control the ball with the sensor. But its started doing other stuff now like it keeps turning the screen on on its own and putting phone on loud speaker and pausing music etc.

Weird... The game works, but the accelorometer doesn't work at other places

My wife's Desire C has the same problem. Stuck in landscape most of the time. Screen turning on, phonecalls sometimes suddently go to speaker. Sensors are working fine if you ask me.
I was trying to root it when I read this topic, I still might try a custom rom though.
Glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. Maybe there's a fault with some of the handsets or something.
I gave up and sent mine off for repair now.

Heyyy!!! Did u find any solution for your problem. My phone is also starting to behave in the same way....
I think I found the solution. It seems like the problem is with HTC's ROM based on ICS 4.0 and 4.0.4. I tried just about any ROM based on ICS (stock and custom) with any kernel combination and the problem repeats itself.
Flashed CM 10.1 and the problem is gone.

It is against the forum rules, that you agreed upon when signing up for this website, to bump before 24 hours of no activity.
See above, you can bump posts after 24 hours, understand you are experiencing issues, try google to see if other folks outside of XDA have had similar issues.
I did google first thats why I ask is it a hard ware issue
