Block my number for text messages?

I was wondering if theres anyway I can block my number when sending a text message to someone? Much like blocking my number from coming up on caller id when I call someone? Is there anyway to do this so they get my text message but not my phone number? I have at&t service and a tilt(kaiser) if this matters all thanks.

I couldn't find anything with a basic search, but I wasn't aware of such a thing.

i installed the cab....and it doesnt work....like, it doesnt send any message to the person's phone

There are a few ways to do it. I'm on my laptop (don't keep all that crap on it) but if you pm me to remind me I'll send you the file/link. There is also FlashSMS that will show the message as a system prompt & hence, will not save it either.

1911 Luver did it work for you. it did not block the # for me........

adding videosite behaviors in 'FlashBundle' tcpmp

there are a few sites that i would like to add to my plug in...
i tried searching the forums..but, i failed... so, if it exists allready... im sorry...
does any one know how to add a site to the player ?
i.e.
when you click a link on youtube.com, it opens up a box that says
play video
save video
linked page
how do i make that happen on other sites? is there a registry somewehere?

oh, and btw i sometimes do some research with redtube

haha ... i can definatly change the htm file to accommodate...i edited it once for dutties rom..not sure if he did anything with it... i made the bg match the rest of the rom (black theme) and i made the text a little larger for finger friendly-ness
if your interested, i can forward it to you alex... btw, i dig the att rom.. it boots lightening fast..

it still wont work, i dont think... i think there is another place that has to be changed..the html doc is just a simple link...

it works with a ie plugin, videoloader.dll

i added it to the html... wich loaded the page...but the vids still dont work
i tried to open and edit the dll with PE EXPLORER.... no dice...
im a web dev... dll etc arent my area....

I was browsing Slashdot on my phone, and there was a link to a YouTube video... clicked it and the same menu came up to play, save, or link.
So it has to be something more then the HTM file, right? Something to recognize the source of the link and act accordingly?

I would also like a more updated video bundle:-D Silverscreen has changed the way there video's are and that site no longer works

i dont think so, because if you navigate to youtube with out it... it still works...
i did read in the link above that a site OVGUIDE.com had some that worked..
its all about how they fetch the flv... if they do it just like youtube or oneof the ones that allready work.... it will work...

If you go to the link in post #1 of the topic, there's a screenshot. Swype is a soft keyboard. It works by "swyping" your finger from one letter to the next as you form a word. See the Swype website here:

The videos on their website show how it works.
It works fine in Myn's Donut @ 320 x 480 @ 160. After downloading and installing, go to Settings > Locale & Text to set it up. Then when you long press in a text box, Swype will be an option for text input. You can easily switch back to the Android keyboard if you don't like it. I think it's almost easier to use your stylus when you are swyping, as you can see where you're going better than with your finger on our tiny keyboard. YMMV.

Thank you. Too bad I use 240. I don't mind the Donut keyboard, and int he past I have loved touchpal.

btw. there is very similar application to the Swype and it's called Shapewritter(free app), you can find it on a market. It also works on 320x240.

Hello, I got the sprint hero and am trying to get swype but each one I find says "you trial has expired" or something along those lines. I see you put up a link in February and am wondering if you know of or have a swype apk that's not expired?

There's a version somewhere in there as a google shortened link that has a nonexpired version.
I have it and am loving it.
anybody know how to stop the tips thing from popping up when I try to add words?
I should be able to tap the swype button and then it flashes to let me know its added, but Every time i get an annoying tips popup...

I type out the words, then long press them and hit add to dictionary

i downloaded a swype, and it says to me, that its not the "320x480" version, and i dont know where i can get it.. i can just "write" in the vertical view and the when i swype from one letter to the other, it does not WRITE these letters.. just when i press each letter seperate... any help?

Hello all.
I decided to start developing apps for WP7 and since I really wanted to have my own Translate app I decided to make one. I only started C# programming yesterday but it looks that it's really similar to VB.Net (which I have been doing for 3 years ). This is my first app I made for WP7 therefore it's really simple.
Simple UI: (GoogleTranslate.zip) the simpliest ever Google translate client (prototype) with basic features. Most languages are available though not every combination has been tested.
It can remember default language settings by selecting the 'set default (target/source) language' option in the menu.
Version 0.1: (GoogleTranslate-0.1.zip)
Added country flags
A few graphical effects when an item is selected
Auto save of current language settings (no more set as default)
Added an additional page for choosing source and target language
Version 0.2: (in development)
Renamed to GTranslate
Added Korean language
'Language Settings' page renamed to 'Settings'
Add About subpage in 'Settings'
Activated text wrapping for textbox on translation page
Globalisation support (application needs to be translated to different languages though)
Added 'History Page' with date, time of translation and a 'tap and hold' menu
Using a blue gradient as a background (no matter what phone theme is)
New logo
Added a nice tile based start-up page
Changed/revamped transitions
Added a progressbar to show progress when translating
Some other bug fixes
No Marketplace Yet! Only to be installed on Chevron unlocked devices.

Can you extend the app bottom bar with a button that switches source and target languages? Wouldn't be so hard to code and it would be a nice function to have I think.

Currently it's only available at XDA so no other websites know about it.
You can download it from the first post but it's only for unlocked devices.
I will publish it to the official market for like £0.50 when I improve it.

[Q][HELP] Is my device hacked?

hey all,so i am on rooted sgs running froyo 2.2,it all works like a charm and blablabla..then today i was reading some feeds thru colorize widged and of course it opens opera to read webpages. all ok 'till i notice that the adds on the webpage were in "polish". i am in germany,my device it's set in english and my google page it's in english too. i tought - well it may be just some random add.. -
then i go to read stuff on Gizmodo,which usually redirects you to the website version of country you connect from (so if you are in germany you get the german version of gizmodo and so on) and..
it redirected me to the freaking POLISH version of Gizmodo!
so my question: how this is possible? maybe some app? (i can write you the list but i only use legit apps and i watch no porn usually)
or even worst: did i get hacked?? did this happen to anyone of you already? please enlighten me
UPDATE: i tried now with stock browser and it redirects normally to the german website. so it happens only with Opera mobile. anyone has an idea about why this happen?

UPDATE 2
so basically i had opera turbo activated,that was the reason. it looks like that their servers used for the "turbo" function are located in Poland
so then if you use opera and see something strange don't jump from your chairs/go in paranoia-loop/pull off hairs/reset device.
just check if turbo is active
