Hi
Using CM7.2 RC5.3, my baseband is XXKPK and I need to change it to XXKPD, where can I find this and how can I install this.
any help?
Find it on droidangel blogspot bro.. I don' t have the link but I have downloaded from there before. It's just one package. ;D If you want to use kpd as baseband, you have to redo everything. Flash one package, cwm then cm7. Backup your apps via titanium so it would be easier to restore.

Insteuctions on how to install one through odin is also there. Best of luck!

Got it changed, got a new one, installed CM7.2 still the same problem...
as advised by expert I am now trying to change the babseband to XXKPD but now cant find it anywhere.

at sammobile and droid angel site also there is no XXKPD version.
Yes there is DXKPD, now my phone originally is with 3 uk, rooted and flashed all ROMs emanon, cm7, do you think this DXKPD would not brick my phone if used?
thanks

I see. I did not know that you had 3 uk. Don't flash it with the one I gave. Maybe you can try flashing other stock firmware for your region and see if it helps. try S5570XWKQG for UK. It's found there at droidangel. I tried searching for official 3 uk but found nothing..

Hey guys. I am new to android. I just installed the OverCome Rom to my Galaxy Tab Asia Model and I thought of uninstalling it because I think I wanna use the original firmware. Anyone can teach me how to uninstall the overcome rom and flash my Glaaxy Tab to my original firmware? Thank you guys
What is your original firmware? If its froyo, flash rotohammers rom, then your original.

do you want to reflash froyo overcome? Or return your tab back to standard, any case, you should be safe if you do a Odin flash back to a rotohammer froyo, then the froyo rom of choice, just follow the overcome instructions but switch the roms for what I said
swyped from a galaxy far far away...
i wanna make my galaxy tab back to normal, just like a freshly baked cake out from the box. can you tell me what firmware do i need to use? im using asia Galaxy Tab. cause im not the expert, this OverCome rom my uncle helped me to do it now hes away, i cant undo it =(
based on the firmwares found on samfirmware, there are different stock asian firmwares available. there is an Indian version (P1000DD), south east asian version (P1000DX), Hong Kong version (P1000ZH) and Taiwan version (P1000ZT).
i myself keep 2 froyo firmwares to go back to:
P1000DXJK2 - which was the firmware that came with my tab when i bought it sometime in december.
P1000DXKM3 - which was posted sometime in february/march that i got from a thai forum.
Singapore galaxy tab should be south east asian right?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
yup. SouthEast Asian Firmware is for you, same as mine.
you could check my other post related to this matter.

what has happened exactly?
you could try powering down your tab first.
then try entering recovery mode (done by pressing volume up + power button).
wipe your cache and then afterwards restore to factory settings.

Hi guys, I read the post and tried Rotohammer but it failed in the start hanging at "Connection setup" then shows fail. Can anybody suggest how to remove this Custom ROM Overcome_v1.6.4 and install any Foroyo stock rom.

Hi I'm a noob myself but I assume you can just follow the overcome guide to go back to stock?... basically, go into download mode And flash "overcome stock froyo safe" using Odin. I may well be missing something but wehenever I mess up and my tab won't boot, I just re-flash...
This is my first attempt at offerring help to anyone here, if i'm wrong please tell me! (Nicely!)

Froyo baseband version I9000 XXJPY
Build No FROYO.XXJPY
Firmware version 2.2.1
can anyone please advise me, thank you..
JVR is the most recent mate, don't think it's available on kies yet - but there's many a juicy custom rom waiting for you in the development section. If you check out MilkyS, it has all files inc odin required to flash.

I can't update via Keis as I have tried but nothing happens so I was going to flash via ODIN but don't know which one to use...
Which gingerbread one do I use as I'm in the UK, will any Europe one do?
Any will do, but you want the most recent. If you want stock jvr, then search this thread (it won't be far), if you want custom, check development thread. The modem is vaguely area specific, the csc is country specific - you want xeu.
As before, if u fancy custom, MilkyS has odin in the download package and full flashing instructions in zip.

You can read darkstriders sticky for more info on flashing.

thank you for all your help, I have just flashed the jvr one but would like to try a custom one, is the MilkyS one a good one and is the battery life OK as I know some are a bit heavy, anyway thanks again...
It's excellent. Fast, smooth and very good battery. Enjoy.

If your new firmware is Stock firmware(released by samsung), you can flash with Odin(dont select reset partition in odin)
OR you can connect to Kies n update it.
OR Go to setting - about phone - software update, check if update available OTA, if available, you will get notice n update from there(easiest n fastest way)
Hello.
One week ago,I was forced to flash custom ROM,cause something goes wrong and I didn't have backup. However,I want back the stock ROM. Where can I download it? I don't want to install Kies to my laptop, because normally I don't need it. I am able to flash the ROM using CWM.

CLOSE THIS THREAD. PROBLEM SOLVED.
Hey guys! I'm new to XDA and I have a question: How can I root my Galaxy Mini SAFELY? I already broke 4 phones and my parents are getting really mad if I break another one.
I already tried the following:
-SuperOneClick (Any version I could find )
-Z4Root (Just freezes :/)
-UniversalAndRoot (Doesn't work too )
I don't want to use GingerBreak and Odin because I am really sure I would mess it up.

I found this site and I was wondering if it would work with my phone too.
Please reply if it works for my phone

Hi,
I have the following problem:
I have a S5830L which I've downloaded the Samsung Unbranded Stock ROM GB 2.3.6 for this phone.
The problem is that when I put it on Download mode ODIN detects it BUT when I click on start it stops on "SetupConnection" and after 10 min it shows fail.
The phone is running fine, but It has the carriers ROM and with version 2.3.4, with CWM
How can I flash it via ODIN or another method?
I cannot figure out...
Thanks!
There's a thing called mobile Odin. Not sure if it works for your device but you can use the search option here to find out more...
