Dont like the interface, looks like TW.
Still prefer Sense 3.0/3.5 interface.
But the animation looks good.

I agree, very like TW and its not even smooth, its a bit jerky.
What's tw?
And yeah.. i dont quite like it either. I mean the interface is fine. Just that the white system ui. It should've been more dark and blue just like pure ics. Hopefully there's a dark blue theme.

Touchwiz on Samsung phones.
The HTC Clock & Weather seems a bit weird to me otherwise it will be great imo.
Sense looks like it's having compatibility problems with ICS. The phone itself looks like an ugly cross between the Galaxy Nexus and the Desire. Sadly I was hoping this phone would be my next one, but capacitive buttons? No thanks.

Thanks, but as I so not like the samsung UI, I'll stick with my DHD's for now

I prefer Sense as well, but being able to freely organize apps on screens, instead of one large list, that shifts when adding or removing apps has something to it. I wish Sense got something like that.
Hey guyz.plz try this and report back.looks cool with no lag.

Thanks in advance
Tested it, it's working on the Incredible S, but animation is a bit lagged (i'd say something between 15-18fps). besides that, it's working properly, touch responsive and all.

works fine and looks great. thx for sharing.
but i always have the feeling that live wallpapers (in general) make my phone a bit laggy. scrolling between homescreens isnt that smooth like on normal wallpapers.
tested it on different sense roms

To be honest, I LOVE IT!!!! <3
Very beautiful, though there's a tiny miny miny part of lag, buh it actually doesn concerns as hardly noticeable on daily usage.
On Virtuous Affinity 2.05, mind you I'm a very heavy user

You should see how live wallpapers look well on ICS. Sadly it's not going to happen with this one.

try this one ...works with ICS .. tested & works smooth on Nik's Aura Rebirth Sense 4a v3.0 & WE WANT ICS v3 by Nikhil007
If your like me, your mixed on sense 3.6. On one hand it runs great, looks good, and has a really nice stock launcher, but on the other hand it doesn't feel like ics! I just realized today that htcs stock ics+sense 3.6 rom is missing these 2 really cool effects which imo also hurts the experience. Why did htc opt to not include these 2 very nice pieces of flair? Didn't notice overscroll glow or Crt animations on gingerbread either.

I don't think either of them are included on any stock HTC software. Some developers include them in custom ROMs though.
I'm not sure, but CRT OFF may be possible...
unfortunately, I can’t test at present because ICS update for the raider got delayed in korea..
Questions in the title really, I am trying to decide whether I'd prefer a GS4 or the HTC One and after looking at reviews I really don't like Sense (don't get me wrong, I don't like TW either), in terms of vertical scrolling of apps and the weird way your dock is part of the app drawer e.t.c.
Could anyone who has the phone and is using an AOSP based launcher please provide screenshots of the home screen and app drawer?
Maybe a video if it's not too cheeky can't find one on YouTube.
Cheers!

if you care to answer, in all honesty, are there any things about sense that you don't like (launcher aside)?

I really like sense, I've come from a Nexus 4 and Galaxy S2, and I prefer it to both touchwiz and AOSP both in features (ones I actually use) and aesthetics. It's much lighter than previous versions of sense and it's really smooth as well.

Yeah, running ARHD completely stock with speed tweaks and battery mod.
Ahh bum. I was hoping to get a phone that I wouldn't end up rooting on day one

I managed to wait 3 days do you really find battery important? I find it bad because I look at it too much
As a long time lover of Aosp (since froyo on my old cappy) I really miss it, the problem is I've fallen in love with sense 5. That's all I really care about in sense roms though. So I was wandering if it's possible to port the sense launcher to a gpe rom. Is it possible?
Sent from my HTC One
i think that would require loads of work but im not 100 % on that
Yeah its probably possible with tons of work, but I doubt anyone would take a lot of interest in porting it since honestly it's nothing special of a launcher and it's rather stale in features. Anyways, why do you want the sense 5 launcher over something like nova launcher or action launcher pro?

Blinkfeed. It's perfect for when you're sitting around with nothing to do. I've become quite attached to it.

I guess that's understandable. I settled for Feely though since it's amazingly designed and I can customize it by websites I want easily. Still waiting for new widgets from them though.
