This is to request a Xbox Live gamertag app for winmo. There is one for the Iphone of all systems, how come MS hasnt done one for WM is beyond my imagination. There was talk back in 2006 for it, but was never launched. Can anyone create an app, Im sure alot of live gamers would be interested
What should it do? Perhaps link to the iPhone version
to be able to see the friends list, your gamercard info, etc.
Thx
Hey, i haven't tried this as i lost my diamond, but zumobi might be what u want, its free i think, so give it a try.
I did and so did of alot of other users and it doesnt work 80% of the time, good attempt, but it wont let you see your own gamercard, yet alone your friends ...

Correct, they do provide it, but it sucks, and they are 80% offline or out of service. So stay away from Zumobi if you want to live happy otherwise, you'll be throwing your diamond instead of loosing it
Cheers
There was a commercial release. I think it was $5 which I saw in Dev & Hacking. It might be worth a search.
Here you go guys

See the problem with what you're saying is...... YOU! Amazing huh? Why not reconsider the fact that not all of us are as "Tech Savy" as you... and not nearly as ignorant. Also, let's consider that he came to a DEVELOPER FORUM for help. You know the place where people trade ideas and software. So, let's all take a quick life lesson from this... If you don't have anything useful to provide, leave it alone. Just because we're 12 and Mommy and Daddy bought us a nice little PC and a cool phone and are too negligent to pay attention to the Bovine Fecal Matter that the little "Monkey" has managed to spread on the internet, doesn't mean the rest of the world wishes to hear your ignorance.
Now, Numb Nuts over here was right about one thing... Google. Search google for "SNES" "NES". The best I've found is PocketNester but it doesn't support Landscape mode which is a little disappointing. (Mario Bros looks awful in Portrait haha)
Second do a search for some of you're favorite games and save all of this in a folder on you're comp.
Using the Date Cable out of the box you can do one of two things.
First plug in the cable and either select Active Sync or Disk Drive.
Disk Drive is a little more convenient but only works with a MicroSD inserted.
Disk Drive - Drag and drop your folder of games on to the phone.
Active Sync - Once its connected, select Tools - Explore Pocket PC on your comp and Drag and Drop directly in to the phone.
Unplug and Navigate to the File Explorer. (Start-Programs-Tools- File Explorer) Select the Nester Cab and install it to the device. Open the Nester Program and the rest should be self explanatory from there.
Good Luck.
Does anyone have any suggestion for a way to control emulators? The keyboard gets the job done, but it's far from great, any suggestions for an external controller? Someone in another thread mentioned using a PS3 controller over bluetooth as a possibility, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done yet.

Ok, the operational/usable emulators I have working:
PocketNESter Plus - this version was made specifically for the Dash and other landscape screens. Works perfectly on every HTC I've owned 'cept the G1 (for obvious reasons). I'm using it on an excalibur, a tilt, and a raphael as we speak.
PocketSNES: this one takes too much horsepower for the Excalibur, but the others run it fine..one problem here is that I've been unable to get sound working as of yet..tho this is really a minor problem for most games.
I'll be trying more soon

Sorry my friend, I've tried every form of control I can think of and only the keyboard is truly usable. It takes some getting used to, but you'll get it.
oh i see what about picodrive?
Look the creator of this post does have some good reasons to aliens a better emulator. I was able to run pocketnester however I was not able to get pocketSNES to run on my Raphael. I tried for about 5 hours to find a vga compatible snes. I found many links to vga emulators, N0p and Tila builds, however those links were down. The pocketsnes emulator developers website is down. I found one build called SNES9x for PPC Ver .41. This ran Chrono Trigger pretty well with sound. However this program has no onscreen game pad and does not register my hardware buttons. However there is a fix that makes your wm6 run or emulate an older hardware keyboard setting. So the real question would be does anyone have a working vga snes? If you got the original PocketSNES to work that would be passable. I was hoping to get the OpenGL version. I googled and googled.
yea i tried downloading pocketnester but for some reason it would not find my roms or load them up its kinda confusing

Soooo all the versions of opera mobile, ie6, ie7, ie8, ROM parts from unreleased phones are warez? You still have to buy mobile shell 3.0...its not cracked hacked or otherwise. I don't see it any different than a ROM dump or here's a big one winmo 6.5!!
Herg, it's not warez It's just alpha or beta. None of the roms we have are released yet, they're leaked. This is a leaked trial. So technically it's not.
and btw, did you ever port Xtrakt to VGA?
can anyone confirm this is working?
Thanks,
I have been waiting on this one since the MWC announcement. Performing a backup and and then gonna test it out.
it works perfect... just waiting on some1 to get the key for it to make it full version... ( if u know what i mean)

Don't quote me on this, but I think if you actually stop being a cheapskate and buy the program you can get a key (if you know what I mean).
doest work/play well with TF3D V2 I can confirm this and that sux, maybe the final release will be better!!!

MOD EDIT .....warez are not talked about here....if you want to do that i think you should move to another forum.
Has anyone tested it yet if it works with REAL VGA at 96 dpi? The official version 2 does not.

well if i can get it for free then why should i buy it??? its like all the ppl here, ppl that are using win 6.5.. its not for free.. u have to pay m/soft for it.. but the chef are just porting it over for us to use and to make it better for us to use.. it the same same thing... but different...if u know what i mean..

youre ignorance is astounding!! Did you realize that when we all purchased our phones, we purchased the rights to a license. This license entitled us to a copy of WinMo. Everytime we flash, we keep flashing the same damn OS on to our devices.
If we use the ported the 6.5, its not official. Its something that some brilliant guys put together based on what they know. Its completely different then an actual release.
Its not the same thing. You did not purchase a device with a copy of Mobile Shell 3.0 already installed. This program is in development. Some dude, with a wife and kids, is working hard on the programming of this software, so all of us end users would turn around and pay the $30 for his hard work and countless hours.
Just because you are a cheap ass bastard doesnt mean you need to rip off all the hard working people at SPB. Its douchebags like you that give our community a bad reputation. The program isnt even released, so you cant even purchase a serial. But when it is released, I hope you can see past your ignorance, mature up, and take ownership of your very own registered copy..... if you know what I mean...
Not working...
Of course some of us really bought SPB MS 2, and would really like to take a sneak peak at what 3.0 offers. This download would be really usefull for that, were it not that it is overdue (Evaluation time left is set to 0 days after install).
What should be added to SPB
What I would really like to see for new versions is:
1 Creating appointments in the mobile shell, creating contacts etc. Let's say I would really like it to be extended to a finger friendly PIM utility. But I'm affraid that's to much to ask...
2 Also that the appointment notification is hidden from within SPB is really a shame, that should be fixed right away. My alarm goes off every morning, and than I need to close SPB and use manilla to turn off the alarm.
I'm still using a combo of the new Rhodium Manilla and SPB 2, with the WinMo65 skin which looks really nice, but is a bit too slow. I like the calender tab of Rhodium manilla, and also what they did with the contacts. I like the weather application and the missed calls/texts of SPB.

I've got a Fuze and the upgrade to 6.5 is free for me, when it's officially released from HTC; that's what I was told by the sales rep when I bought the phone. Im running Sheps 6.5 Rom now - but I am anxious for the official release, so XDA chefs can make MS and HTC's work even better.
6.5 is not warez. It's not a release version and its not for sale yet because its not finished (seems close to finished tho). I definitely do backups.
SPB 3.0, so far, rocks IMO. It is not warez either (yet) because its obviously a trial. SPB 2.0 was pretty good too, and if you didn't pay for that, you are a cheap bastard as Chapmeister said before.
I consider this a leaked demo, possibly of a beta but I bet its a release candidate. Someone said its a developer release, not sure what that means exactly - but it's not "stolen" or "cracked"...
I've already decided to buy it, when it becomes release. I turn TF3D2 off and SPB 3 runs great. I really like TF3D2 also, so I'll use this time with SPB 3.0 to compare/contrast, but so far I think SPB got a lot of things right.
You sir, should be ashamed for using serialz, or whatever to avoid paying someone for their hard work. If I were you I would shut up and not be proud that you got something for free, that's being a low-life and as XDA is a website for DEVELOPERS, your position is most unwelcome.... I hope you understand.
any screenshots or observations of differences?
I have (and paid for) Mobile Shell 2.0 and love it. Would like to see what was changed.
Ok so i thought i would start looking at the files for MS3 and it seems that is uses the same type of *.dat files as MS2. Then i tried to extract them and found that the same extraction password used in MS2 works for the new files as well. So skinning should be about the same as before.
Extraction Password = b0fm18zq
Where can we buy a license for it!!!
SPB isnt selling it yet...I purchased 2.0 a long time ago and really liked it... How can I register 3.0?
So far 3.0 ROCKS!!! I really like SPB, they put out some great stuff! I also use their Phone and Time for the "rule based" profile switching and rock solid alarms!
3.0 takes it to the next level! Custom screen layout with 2 panels (kinda like the ipone sliding home screen)....
No issues yet, I just switched over to:
[ROM]WWE|Chrome series w/Rhodium manila
seems to be working fine with TF3D but I may turn it off! SPB has everything that I need!

Only seen KeePass Droid so far. It looks like you need to create initial database on a pc and download to device, but should good when its complete. They have versions for winmo, blackberry, symbian so think it wont be long before its fully functional.
I e-mailed Ilium about eWallet, loved that one on WinMo, but they don't really have any plans for android at this point
keepass droid seems nice, getting tan-lists working takes quite a while (tan-wizard in kp2, export to kp1, export to kp droid...) but now everything works great, thanks for the tip
Have anyone tried SplashId for Android?

Hi!
Do you know any PGP/GPG application for android? I would like to read my PGP encrypted emails on Hero.

I've emailed Developer One to see if they have any plans for an Android version of Code Wallet.
Will update with reply.
Edit : email reply "At this time we are not planning it, maybe in the future."
eWallet
I got this reply from Ilium Software on August 12th:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are planning a solution for Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!"
I used eWallet for many years on Windows and it's the program I miss the most now, along with a divX player.

Ditto that, I will contact Illium too - the more people do that, the more likely the port will be.

install debian and use that to find programs to read them, e.g. i use mutt and gpg on my computer.
Try B-Folders, looks like a very nice app, it's free and their planning a desktop version with full sync as well. Encryption looks OK too!
This back from Ilium on 31st August:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are investigating our options for eWallet on Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!
Thanks again for contacting us and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions,

I'm looking at B-folders at the moment, but ewallet is very good.
If KeePass is not your solution (it is mine ), you might want to try "Keeper" which is a free Android App with (paid) Win/Mac/Linux clients. However, I don't know if it covers advanced functionality like TANs really well...
Spb Wallet (and not only) for Android
Spb Software House has started to develop some (useless) application for Android, as Spb TV and Spb Geo Game.
We hope that in future also begin to develop some program more useful, such as the excellent Spb Wallet.

Hey guys I am looking for someone that can teach me how to make apps and in return I have a app we can work on while im learning this app creation will get us payed by the company i am pitching it to. I will not discuss details on here and contracts will need to be signed before details are discussed with anyone so no one can copy or create the app behind my back. it will need GPS location, Twitter feeds, ect. it does seem as though it may be a fairly hard app to make by myself.
Reply if you are interested.
Thanks.
