Sorry for the noob question, but how do i pull up the multitasking menu on the CM9 ROM (ICS) for Galaxy tab? I tried keeping the home button pressed, but that did nothing. Anyone know?
Hello,
I had the same problem.
What I did was: by using root browser I went to system\build.prop and edited a value called persist.tablet.hiderecent=1 to 0
After reboot, this will show the recent apps icon at the bottom left corner and you can jump quickly between apps.
You can also enable other software keys from the build.prop.
Thanks! Will try it out when I go home.
Tried to change it using a couple of root browsers, but was unable to edit it. I think it had to do with the permissions. So I tried changing it, but that didn't work too.
Any suggestions?
Looks like a new version of ICS has been released for the Galaxy tab. Will try that out first.
Works great with the new ROM!

Hello guys,
I'm having a problem with my Galaxy S, I'm noob w/ Android. I read many users(not from here) saying that Lagfix really does a difference in performance, excited, I downloaded GST(Galaxy S Tweaker) and without root, instaled lagfix.
Now my Galaxy S is working, BUT, the home button stopped working and the back button is working as home button, also the camera stopped working, the touch became horrible, I can only connect to computer using Debug mode and everytime that I turn on the cellphone, appears I9000B and before appear the S logo it changes to I9000.
There's something that I can do?
I'm really desperate and don't care if lose data. I only wanna my Galaxy S working as it should be.
Eh. What's the name odd your device. Sounds like you installed lag fix for the international sgs
Sent from my GT-I9000
reflash it back to stock or flash another ROM made for the I9000 or I9000M instead of USA variants

I have a same problem with my cdma verizon galaxy tab (sch-i800).
I´m certain about this problem isn´t hardware.
This problem happens after a new stock rom apply.
Another problem is my recovery menu, don´t start (power + vol up).
Someone here could me help, please??
Thank you guys...
Same problem here on my gt p1010 plz help
My tab seemed to freeze i rebooted it then the home and search keys went unresponsives
Thx for your help
What firmware are you all on? GSM or CDMA?

Is it a Verizon Galaxy Tab you guys are having problems with? That is the one I am having problems with.
Long story try to be quick....
I am new to Android, I use nearly ever Apple product and got a hand me down fully working mint to VZW Galaxy Tab 7 from my uncle yesterday. It worked great but got an update and boom same problem everyone here is reporting, only the back key works the other 3 keys are not responsive.
Here is the kicker....
I backed up everything I could to my Mac and did the hard reset and got into manual mode(??) and used the volume rocker to navigate to erase everything and start fresh, which required me to touch the home key and it worked.
So, has to be a software bug or something.
Edit: Firmware 2.2
Not sure if this helps but some more info...

try to find the right rom to flash
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA Premium App
So, I will have to find the instructions on rooting my device? That can be done on Mac OS X or must be done on Windows? After rooting the Tab? I can use a custom Rom? Is that how this works?
Hello,
It seems my back button on my SGS 1 is not working anymore.
I don't recall if it's not working after or before flashing Darky ROM 10.2.
I just have 3 questions:
1. Is there any possible way that it's software problem (didn't spill anything on my phone and it didn't fall too often or hard on the floor).
2. When I try to use TESTKEYS in CWM (advanced) it still does not bring me debug code (for example it brings up code for other buttons like back and options)
3. Is there anyone with similar problem on this forum?
Thanks.
Im using stock rooted XXAMG4 rom, and sometimes I got problem with notification/status bar pull down menu. It just stop working, and I can't read my notifications or use quick settings buttons. I can't pull it down ?!?! Nothing happens.. zip..zero.. Only reboot helps but not for long.
Anyone with same problem?
Yes I cleared cache/davlik but no use...
I use stock rooted NXXALL6 on my I8190N, and I've had this happen once or twice too. Haven't tried any non-stock roms for long enough to see if its fixed by a new rom however.
Dang, custom Android ROMs are frustrating!
FINALLY got one loaded on my Samsung Exhibit II that DOES voice dial via BT. However, there are 2 problems with the phone so far.. 1.) can't mount external sdcard. Note: Card is good and formatted fine. I can attach phone to laptop via usb and read/transfer files to it successfully. 2.) Every time I add a new app to the phone it puts an icon for the app on my home screen (do not want that).
Any ideas on how I can fix these problems? Thanks.
Current setup on the phone:
Model: Samsung SGH-T679
Android ver: 4.1.2
ParanoidAndroid 2.99
Kernel:2.6.35.14 cyanogenmod
CM ver: 10-20121121-UNOFFICIAL
Build: pa_ancora_tmo_userdebug4.1.2

For number 2, you need to go in to the play store settings and turn that setting off.
If you already did that and you are still getting icons on your home screen then you are probably using nova launcher. There is also a setting in nova launcher that you need to turn off.
Dont find settings

I don't find any such setting in Play Store. Don't find any related setting in Go Launcher that would do this either. Also, this just started recently and I have never made any changes to my Play Store account.

Hmm, cant help you with the first problem. I'm having the same issue, but on another rom. I would also like to figure this out.
For your second problem. Try going into Play Store settings and unchecking "Auto-add widgets".
Hope this helps.
first of all not to sound rude to you r the dev but it seems youre running paranoid android 2.99 which is an outdated rom, unfinished and the rom has no future support and reporting for it is kinda usual

Can you please recommend a better ROM that CAN voice dial via BT. Every time I use a custom ROM that is android 4.0 or higher, it cant voice dial. I have only had success with GB ROMS at 2.3.5 - 2.3.7
Thanks for any help you can lend.
