exciting case form factor: ebay seller contacted

hi guys,
as we know, cases for the streak are few and far between right now. the only really decent ones are these: easecase so, i have contacted this seller with a case idea in mind and given the seller the link to this thread. so heres what would help this case idea be made. even if you are a casual troller or a regular poster, please comment in this thread so that the seller can see there is a demand for this type of case that way we get a awesome case and the seller gets a client base without much effort at all. here is the case idea.

im a member of various dell streak forums/sites and your items keep cropping however, there is a distinct lack of cases for the streak and i would like to ask if there is a way you could make a leather holster type case as the ones you offer make the big streak seem even bigger. the type of case i have in mind is something like this:

this would be perfect for the dell streak as it would allow easy access to the device without having it seem like a brick on your waist. from a buisness prospective because of the lack of cases for the streak you could get in before the rush with a case form factor that would be very popular.

i got the same response. that case would be nice. they are basically saying to chose the type of flap/no flap you want. that is a rather nice case the A5 one. i might inquire abit more

agreed. i highly doubt though we will really see a case like that for the streak any time soon..bring on a US release so us brits can get some good stuff

AWESOME! I really like the A5 case, just without the FLAP!

Gotta be honest .....not blowing my skirt up...i got one ( wallet stylee ) for 8 quid delivered off of ebay, its really good, also fits really well with the form fit case on there as well, perfectly in-fact....

I saw the ad for the d3 easecase on ebay but was hesistant because it looked like hard to pull the streak from the pouch. I am currently using krusell for my htc hd and it has got like a hole at the bottom where you can use finger to push it out of the case rather than having to pinch it out of it, esp if the flap is in the way....so easecase, would you do somethin like that?

Third-party car windshield mount?

Has anyone found a descent third party car windshield mounth for the Galaxy Tab yet?

Here is one.

Saw something similar on eBay, isn't the "claws" way to big? looks like you could hold a brick with that.

I got the above in car mount as part of the modaco superetrader offer, it's very good and versatile considering the price but the longer arm is almost too wide, so it's a bit fiddly when mounting the brackets on the short sides of the tablet, and there seems to be no way of mounting the brackets on the long sides of the tablet without them pressing the power and volume buttons

Attached is the one Samsung shop gave me free with my galaxy tab and they said the desktop dock also coming soon and they will give me one for free as well .

Aren't the side bits just fairly hard foam? Would it be possible to cut out grooves where the buttons are to stop it pressing on them?

Anyone have a link to where this can be purchased online?

I have the RAM holder for my old Samsung Q1U's, I found that the SGT w/ the soft case on it wedges rather nicely into it w/o risk of falling out. Because the Q1u is longer than the SGT, the mount does stick out about half an inch on each side.

Wow that is ugly! dont think i would want the big ass thing on my dash It looks like it could come to life and beat the **** out of me. its huge

Doesn't look like it has anything to hold it in place, so it's more of a perch than anything, any sudden acceleration and it looks like the tab could fall off.
Shame if that's the case, as it looks good otherwise.

That blue stuff you see is INCREDIBLY sticky, but leaves no residue when it releases. That Tab won't be going anywhere unless there's one hell of a frontal impact on the vehicle (or you own a Veyron with a strap-on rocket booster).

NOT BAD.. seems like it will work with a gel case, im using the ebay one i bought for my ipad and it works great just tends to cover the volume buttons on the case depending how i place it on there. , im still debating if getting the one by slipgrip is gonna be worth it.. depending on if there a holster case that comes out later down the road, i have a slip grip mount for my otterbox defender case on my hd2 and its perfect so im sure the slip grip one for the tab with a gel case would fit perfect just worried if i switch cases later down the road then can't use the slip grip anymore.

[Q] Dell Streak car mount options

Hi all. I am hoping someone here can help me find the right car mount for my Streak. Its in an otterbox commuter case. I want a mount that will fit the Streak securely while in the case and also be able to charge the phone while mounted. Would appreciate any input.

Have you used the search option or looked on ebay or done any work at all? There are a bunch of threads already including one i made, if you search "dell streak 5 car holder" in ebay you will find what you need!

Just ended up using some little brackets and vhb double stick tape. Hasnt fallen off sknce and my xar is a very stiff ride, I feel every little bump

I bought mine the day u posted this on e-bay and its the best for the Dell streak 5. arrived in the mail last week (the both of them) the original car mount from Dell is fantastic plus u can use the XM-Radio vents .pocketables.com/2011/03/xm-radio-vent-clip-mount-fits-dell-streak-car-kit-holder.htmlwhich gives u a better and closer feel to the device while you drive. Buy both from e-bay cheap. Please view link below

Slipgrip makes a great holder and they have versions from naked to otterbox defender and all in between. Check them out on ebay

Well you thought wrong. The pictures don't match the descriptions claims & the pics date from pre release so are probably for a different model.

If you look at the picture, you'll notice that the device they are showing it with is a Kindle Fire with a Nexus 7 screen photoshopped onto it or running an ICS/JB ROM. It looks like it would NOT cover the USB port, but would cover the audio jack.
I was thinking of trying This because it has the automatic sleep/wake sensor at a great price. Only problem I have w/ it is it looks a bit bulky.

I found a phone number for them & the chap promised that all ports are accessible. He said it was a photoshopped image because it went up before the Nexus 7 was released. He said he had received his Nexus 7 this morning so I'm going to assume he knows what he is talking about. I placed an order anyhow so we'll see when it gets here.

My case arrived this morning, but alas, my N7 didn't. Ordered 28 June.
The magnetic closure seems to work, and is not too strong.

I received my case this morning. It fits my Nexus 7 perfectly. All ports available & the smart sensor (yes I know it is a magnet) is working 100%. Not bulky like I thought it would be.
I'd totally recommend this. For the price it is top notch. :good:

Second, is the lid held shut magnetically when it is closed?
Third, has anyone ordered one of these in the U.S.? Laptop Kit has a new store on the American version of Amazon, but I got a little nervous when it said it was shipping from the UK. I was wondering what other sort of fees I might be facing.

Yes it is held shut magnetically. And it is completely secure. If I wave it around upside down it doesn't show any signs of opening.
If you go through the checkout process on Amazon.com it will estimate the duty due (if any) according to this page. Under Import Fees Deposit

Yes it is. I mostly use it like that, as my main reason for getting it was as an ereader.

I just got this one as wel off the seller on eBay (Carbon Fibre version). Fantastic case for the price, and really happy that it has a smart sensor magnet that works perfectly.
I'm still able to fit the Nexus 7 in my jeans pocket (side and back) with the case on, so it's not too bulky.

Dirt cheap but cutouts are all in the right place, the device is a snug fit and it magnet thingy too!

Galaxy Tab 2 Cases Fit

Hey,
Just brought a Belkin case from PCWorld designed for the Galaxy Tab 2 10" and its a perfect fit. Holding the Nexus 10 up to the Tab 2 it's easy to see why. They are pretty much identical. Has the 3 fold design too. Now if I could just fit a small magnet under the material it would switch off when closed

Its called the Belkin Tri-Fold Folio with stand.
Luckily the shape of the corner grips means that although it covers part of the power button it doesn't actually touch it.

I just ordered a zoogue galaxy tab case. Says it fits both tab 10.1s.
I have a zoogue case for my Xoom and I love it.
It is a bit pricey ($55 shipped) and I would call it more of a couch / indoor case.
I will post pics when I get it. The race is on both N10 and case where ordered tonight!

Only problem with the tab cases is they cover a good portion of the side speakers I hate not having a case on this thing...

Yes I seen that. I hope it does not sound to bad.
I just really like the adjustability of the case. I can go all the way forward or all the way back and any place in between.. Not just 3 notches like many cases similar to this.
I'm very excited and can't wait or sleep for that matter.. Ha

pcworld gave me the wrong one (ipad).

Just picked mine up today. It's great. Even has a little tab to slide a stylus into.
