Big Problem! - LG Optimus Black

After I tried flashing using Redy's method of ClockworkMod Touch, it worked perfectly for me who is using CM7 #56 with Nova Kernel. But then i tired to flash the latest CM7 which is #57 then with this new recovery, it bricked my phone and I had to revert back to Nova ROM for the time being and whenever i tired flashing CM7 again it always leave stuck at bootloop which is at the CM7 logo! Has anybody encountered this? I really want to use GB while waiting for CM9! Hope someone can help me with this!

Are you sure, you didnt miss to do any wipe?
I installed Zeus ROM again with the touch CWM and had no problem at all... But maybe it's a bug in CM nightlies, since also Nova kernel has a bug, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477022&page=6 maybe only flash CM nightly, then mod the updater-script in nova kernel, the way gabwerkz did in that thread and everything will be fine again
Or just look in the Nova kernel Thread, solution is posted there as well.

oh wait....u mean i have to wipe before flashing any roms? holy mother of god!!!

Lol funny

Help with Cyanogenmod 7.2 RC-1?

I've been having this problem with my p970 running CM 7.2. Ill be dicking around on NY dialer or even just dialing, and then it force closes and it says a message that "android.process.acore has stopped responding" this has happened in the last handful of nightlies, but not before that. I have tried reflashing, I have tried wiping everything (data, cache, dalvik) and I still get this error. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Has anyone else got this message and or know of a fix?

did you restore your apps with titanium?and if you did did you restore data as well??some people solved this by not restoring data for their apps.especially apps that use the sync function.try restoring apps only without data.
I didn't use titanium at all. I just wiped everything and re-downloaded my apps.

Try formatting your SD card cache.not SD card data.only cache.in cwm go to mounts and storage to format it.did you try to fix permissions?if not fix permissions first and check if that helps.

try some kernels dude ...im using now cyanogenmod 7.2 rc-1 with nova 11c kernel no problems no far
SD cache didn't work at all... Where can I find kernels? Forgive me for sounding like an utter noob :/ I know you can flash them and I know them from linux. If I flash one (other than the default "kang" one" will it delete any of my stuff or make my device operate significantly different? Or will my phone act the same just (maybe) more stable?
also, are kernels specific to a certain build and android version?

Ok thanks mate, I screwed up my phone while trying to install 2.1 before so thought better to ask
The thing is that I did download and install those 2 files only :?
Well hopefully it will work fine this time
BTW do I have to Wipe all (delvik, cache etc) or just the data?

Hmmm i misread and thought u were installing SlimICS but good that u got JB working anyways! Btw, how much better is Slimbean compared to SlimIcs? Have been thinking about upgrading..

Can't compare it with Slim ICS as I haven't used that but it's one of the best for sure , using it for just about 24 hours but it's working great.
ICS 4.0.4 was one of the best I have used and I can say that this one beats that hands down.

Recommend me a rom

Hey all
since its all going so confusing on Dev forum that i cant keep up
i want a stable ( not laggy ) customizable battery efficient preferably ics or jb based ( i dont care about games bugs)just daily use and camera
im on zeus v7 but its giving me hardtime
and also if i wanted to try cm10 which one should i download since theres so many nightlies versions im confused?
thanks inadvance
test latest nightly
http://jenkins.cyanogenmod.com/job/android/10865/
but if you want performance, battery efficient, and all feature working, stick with zeus.
if you have problem with v7, try v6.4
Thanks dude but i dont think im qualified enough to test something new !is there any other tested version of cm 's?and i should download the zip file only..right ?
