Is anyone switching between the Note and an ATT LTE phone? I deleted the APN's that were there and added the same ones from the Note. I'm not in an LTE area anyways. Will this work? Will ATT recognize my device and do some kind of provisioning that might mess things up when I go back to the Note? All is good once I put the correct APN in. I just wonder if ATT will provision it and then it not work because it's looking for that 4g LTE plan APN.

I've read through the threads I could find, but haven't been able to figure out if I could get 3G speeds using an ATT data sim in a T-Mobile galaxy tab. Does anyone know? And if it's possible, how?
I don't think you can. T-Mobile and AT&T use different radios for 3G.
Never gonna happen, different radios. Edge speeds will work but 3G won't.
I have an unlocked Galaxy S4 active i9295 and I cannot get the 4G or the LTE working since I do not have even the option I only have WCDMA/GSM I travel around the world with this phone and now I am in Ireland on 3 and still I am getting H+ showing and not LTE or 4G. Is there a way to activate 4G or is there any special 4G sims ?
I would check your APN settings, seeing how you are unlocked, the proper APN may not be installed to match your Sim, check with your carrier, to make sure they are 4G and LTE capable and get their settings.

Try ShowServiceMode. It should help to unlock LTE band. It worked for me here in Poland, because local career's LTE was locked by my Russian firmware. But using this program I can only switch between phone calls (GSM/3G) and LTE, they cannot work simultaneously.
Thank you guys. One major thing is that why I can even see the option in the settings? If anyone else has some information please help out.
Thanks
Just a quick question,
I received a galaxy s5 for work today and it is the att version, if I unlock it and use it on tmobile, does it support the same bands as the regular tmobile branded one?? Like LTE and hspa+ 21.
Thanks for all your help ahead of time and tend apologize if this has been posted before, I tried looking for something similar but was not able to find anything.
I have a AT&T Galaxy S5 unlocked. I put my friend's T-Mobile sim card in it and everything worked even LTE without changing anything (APN), it changed automatically. My brother has Claro (by the way I'm in Puerto Rico), with that one I had to change apn's manually to get data working.
I'm freed my AT&T S5 for use on T-Mobile last month and it works just fine. Didn't have to modify any APN settings either as the phone was able to pull it off the T-Mobile SIM.
In all freq's? AWS as well?
SAMSUNG-SM-G900A, with 128gb SD & Rooted.
That's what I'm wondering. I know LTE will work fine. But what about AWS and hspa.
So before anyone flames me for asking about using a Sprint S6 Edge on Verizon, I'd like to clarify that I convinced Verizon to add my IMEI to their database. I have voice, text and data access (but no LTE and always shows as roaming). My phone is carrier unlocked (obviously) and rooted.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, here are my questions:
- How can I re-program my phone to recognize Verizon as the default provider? Or is there any way to flash the Verizon firmware on the phone (aka make the phone a Verizon phone)?
- I'm hoping to be able to connect to Verizon's Band 4 LTE since I understand the SM-G925P to have the Band 4 radio. How can I connect to it?
- I can't view/access the APN settings and so I can't manually add the Verizon APN settings because of some "profile does not have access" issue. How can I give myself access?
Thanks in advance!

Most Sprint phones have an unlockable bootloader so I would assume this one does as well. Why not flash a Verizon rom?

I'm interested to see if this works fully. It looks like all Sprint Samsung's can be sim unlocked and bootloader unlocked so this could be a solution to getting unlockable Samsung phones on Verizon once again.

Any update on this? I am in the same boat. I was able to add the Verizon APN's and I am still having the issue of not being able to connect to the 4G LTE. BTW the roaming icon on the phone I think is just the software being programmed for the Sprint network and sees that you connecting to Verizon as roaming. If you check the SIM status, it will show that it is currently not roaming.
Any updates on this?

Has anyone gotten LTE running on the Verizon Note 8 using AT&T? I had to activate it with my Verizon sim to get to the home screen, after that I popped in an AT&T sim in and it worked but only gets HSDPA or H+ for data. I tried to toggle the mobile network settings and verified APNs but still doesn't get LTE or 4G. I tried all 3 operating settings and it seems to only get signal with Global mode (LTE / CDMA or LTE / GSM / UMTS doesn't get any signal at all).
I have the Verizon Note 8 running on AT&T and I get LTE. I'd like to give you some great tips but I just put my SIM in and it worked, previously I would have to enter the APN but not this time. Same with the S8 Plus I had for a few weeks, just pop the SIM card in and you're good to go. iPhones have been like this for a while now.
