Yeah Can we do that? I used a XE for a short time and i like its UI very much.
U can dwnld go launcher ex and sense theme from market and just apply it

The UI can't be ported because it's very complex, it isn't (as you know) only a graphic desing, it has widgets, programs etc and those are difficult to port.
As I know they never made a port of sense UI, for any devices

I prefer Sense as well, but being able to freely organize apps on screens, instead of one large list, that shifts when adding or removing apps has something to it. I wish Sense got something like that.
This is sense 3.0 widget for Desire HD:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062962
I really love HTC Sense 3.0,
What should I do for my Slide?
I even dont know ,how to use the Widget..
Who can tell me?
THANK YOU EVERY MUCH
I don't think this will work. The slide doesn't have a Sense ROM with HTC Sense v2.1 that is 100% pure. It is like a mix up of different frameworks and ROMs.
Also the ported widgets won't work with our display. Ours is MDPI and we need at least HDPI.
Couldn't we just resize them and modify them to work with our roms?

I guess so but we don't have a lot of devs.
I really wish someone would port the MDPI version of MIUI but so far, nothing unless there is a kitchen that I could use.

There is a miui rom for the g1 if you care to port... As for the mdpi conversion there are a few tools that can do them for you... Just look around in the forum

As far as I know/heard the framework is heavy for our X8 and our X8 does not meet the minimum requirements for it to work.
However you can try to sensify your ROM by using a Sense Theme and using Sense widgets.

How can do magnifier when I edit the text like in sense?
It depends on kernel which is really hard to port.
There are sense themed ROMs based on CM7, that is 80% sense.

Statusbar is fully themed! Do you mean the toggles? And the magnifier would be a hard thing to do. I wonder if there is a third party app for that!

Maybe u could try this to get sense experience
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671306
How many times will this be asked @[email protected] no. It cant be done. We simply dont have enough RAM to pull it off. Even if we did, the system would suck the RAM dry, till we only have a couple of MB's left. Now this would be ok if we could port a Sense Rom, which we all know will/may solve the ram issues. But to port the damn thing is another problem. To be honest, its much easier porting ICS than sense
I am 100% sure this guy didnt read my FAQ, as many more of you people. With all the juicy information there with all the frequently asked questions, yet you dont read it.

That's the right guys, but again - it seems dead. The last posts in that forum are dated for the end of May, before the thread on this site was declared abandoned. Many of us have been watching this for a long time, and it really doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

What about the launcher? It's just a launcher right? Like any launcher should just work. I can understand the rest of the parts being a problem but a launcher is just a launcher right? If not than maybe someone can clarify why

If I recall correctly, the launcher is baked into Sense, and Sense 4 uses a different framework than previous versions of Sense (You need the proper framework to have it work).
IMO, Sense 3.6 is ok. Only some "little" things diferent between 3.6 and 4.0 Like
-Transparent Notification Bar.
-Background color in Settings.
-Flip-style "windows feel" task manager
In this box, we easily find the transparent mod, and flip-style task manager.

Thanks for clarifying that. My flyer is similar with its sense 1.1 for tablets. Several people been trying to sense strip it but some things can't be changed such as the lock screen and menu colors due to framework differences

So because we will likely not be getting a stable cm9 or 10, I think the developers here should maybe be focusing on trying to port sense4.1 for our desire c. I think in one of Russell's posts he mentioned SeannyM ported sense4.1 from desire v during the early stages of his explosion Rom. I think a lot of people on xda including myself would be happy with sense4.1 so if any developers here want to do that then expect a lot of thanks

And many things don't work

haha it's better to wait HTC G2 with sense 5.0 and there would be nothing to resize. LOL
Resize images + xml sizes modification, is a hard job, it's like theming the whole phones images and adjusting measurements to from hdpi to mdpi. Thousands, unless it have mdpi xml settings u just have to resize images hundreds for each of every system app you see, lol. Otherwise it would just force close. Some needs smali editing too. Imposible unless ur htc just compile sense 4.1 to mdpi. Also until now there is none to edit r.9.png.

Forgive my ignorance, but would it be possible to just use a different launcher, instead of porting the HTC one?
I'm sure if it was that easy and straightforward though then you would have just done this..
In the following link, look at the first post and scroll down to where it says "Explos!on Rom". There you will find Russel saying that SeannyM ported sense 4.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34465183
"The Explos!on rom, this rom is based on the nameless rom however, it has the ported Desire V sense which is still very fast and smooth. It has sense 4.1 and has the 3D home screen, this rom is built by SeannyM."
