I've really wanted to get a bigger battery, not necessarily a bigger phone. I was looking up videos on youtube, and I found a guy who actually bought one of those verizon silicon cases and used that instead of having a new backing for his phone because the battery was so much bigger. Do you guys really find not having to charge your phone for 20-30 hours worth the extra cover and stuff? I'm sure it's not an option for everyone, but why bother with that if you can just charge it sometime in between? Car chargers are cheap, and there should be some time of sleep between 20-30 hours of you using your phone (you know, where you could be charging it). Also, what is the biggest battery you can get without requiring an extra case?
The 2150 mah battery is perfect for me. The new back protects the camera lense and the leds. I have also noticed that I can hold the phone by the extended back and it feels more comfortable then before. It doesn't add that much weight and the phone is still pretty slim. Obviously I also get improved battery life as well.
I have been using the 1750 battery and it improved my battery life from 6-8 hours to 9-12ish, which is perfect for me. I just needed to make it through the work day and the regular size works for me.
I couldn't go to a bigger battery, since I have a case that works for me and I don't want to change.

My 2 cents... I have the 2150. I still go through it once or sometimes twice a day. I dont like the way it feels in my front pocket and the fact there isn't much at all if any accessories that will fit it. I just ordered (4) 1500mah batteries and 2 charges off of eBay for a whopping $20. shipped. I can use the 2150 when I am out and not near a charger or just sell it and carry extra 1500's if needed.

At that price, it sounds like you bought some off-brand garbage. While I hope that's not the case, could you please confirm/deny? What brand are these batteries?
I need the extra battery...was out today using the stock one and was dead after 5 hours (3 hours I was using My Tracks on my run). I don't care about accessories, I just need it to not run out of charge.
I find the extra ummph in the 2150 battery to be worth the lil bulge in the back....modded a silicon case with a cutout to let the excess...works pretty well and couldnt be happier...the only downfall i found so far is the charge time is nearly 4 hrs from a completely dead battery...never really timed it but it takes a while, but worth it.

what 1750 Battery do you have?
all the reviews I read say the stock '1500' replacement for the HD2 is the same if not better/cheaper?
Looking to possibly trade to the incredible and saw the 3500 battery. Anyone have one and know how long it'll last with medium to heavy usage?

I'm not sure which one he's using, but I'm using the Seido 1750. My battery life is...decent, I guess. If I bump charge. After reading so many threads on battery life for Android phones and, specifically, HTC Android phones, I'm left wondering a few things:
1. Since HTC seems to have issues charging batteries fully...if we're wiping Battery Stats appropriately (assuming you are rooted), does the phone actually "register" that it's got such a large battery to charge? Or is the phone so stupid that it stops charging it at a 1500's capacity?
2. When apps sync their data, is Android OS smart enough to have them sync at the same time? Or, does my 30 minute Facebook sync occur 10 minutes after my 30 minute Twitter sync, etc.?
New to the forums guys, it was a round-about way I got my Incredible, extended battery, and seidio battery but here is my opinion on this. If you're not gonna use it heavily throughout the day then you can get away with the 1500/1750 batteries. But if you think you're gonna get some solid use out of the phone for a day, you don't want to have to charge it throughout the day, or you don't want to have to rush home and charge it before you go out then you should get an extended battery. Using both over the past week to see which one I want to stick with, the extended is just more convienient since I don't have to think about how much battery i'm at and remember to put it on a charger.
There is a guy on here who modified his case to accommodate the 2150 battery and after seeing that I think that's what i'm gonna do. If you can get the extended cheap then definitely go for it, its just more freedom in my opinion.
Why do you want to go to an Incredible? I thought the X was a better device. Just too big? I have yet to see an Evo or X so I have know idea how big these things are.

did you get lost? your in the Incredible section of the forum, so there will bee a predominant amount of Dinc users here.
And I'd rather have an Incredible over that piece of Moto anyday
I recently bought a 2700mAh extended battery. I don't mind the extra thickness, it allows me to get a better grip on it. As for battery life its great. With the stock battery I could barely make it through 8hours at work. With the new battery I have made it 10hours and counting. I have had GPS, Sync, WiFi, and max screen brightness on all day and only at 73%. Made a few phone calls, and a few Twitter updates. Was worth it.

No I didn't get lost. I was just curious what he did not like about the X. I would rather have an X but HTC phones are much easier to hack. A Dinc hacked on to Sprint Sero is hard to say no too. I would have done an Evo but used prices on an EVO are still ridiculous and I'm waiting for HTC sort out it's display issues.
Back to the topic at hand. I'm liking my Seidio 1750. With some tweaks I'm getting better battery life then my 3GS got. I make it through a whole day of moderate usage (some web, some streaming and 5-10 calls) and still have 20% at bed time. So I'm quite happy. Someone did point out a thread on Android Central. I won't return the battery but it did dampen my spirits a little.
http://androidforums.com/accessories-incredible/119578-battery-testing-results.html
I have had the 3500, for a week. Lasts 2x the 1750 (have one) and the door design is more rugged and protects the lens well.
Worthy purchase.
I had the HTC 2150mah and returned it. I just couldn't live with the bulk.
I bought both 1750 and 2150 from HTC Pedia. They are both HTC BRAND batteries. They both work well and add work time to my INCREDIBLE. Don't buy anything but brand and you will be happy! I found HTC PEDIA to be the best place to buy accessories for my phone!

looking for a new battery for my Legend, any suggestions?
What is the best moneyworthy alternative out there, i lost the old one, so i just need a fairly good battery, and hopefully not less good than original, but better value for the money wouldnt be bad.
I suggest mugen
I uses this battery for about 4 weeks and it works great within this time but after round about 6 weeks the battery lifetime reduces to a minimum and at the end i only was able to use my legend for about 6 hours with about 70% of standby-time. I dont know if it was a manufactoring error or this battery is just crap? Meanwhile im using the original battery again...

Definitely the Wildfire. My friend had a Wildfire imported to Canada (stupid idea) and the battery I ordered works interchangeably between the two. Though he wasn't scared of the risks because it had printed Wildfire/Legend on the back of the battery. I'd imagine the HTC battery is at the very least similar.

The battery I buy in webstore Pixinf can work more that 2 days and the original one only work less than one day.

Apart from the OEM HTC Extended Batteries. Were can US users find a working Extended Battery. I have an eBay one but the battery life is similar to the 1200mah HTC battery.
Does anyone know if Leicke sells batteries in US?
And also... For anyone answering this. What kind of battery life do they actually give when compared to the original?

I think only Mugen makes an actual extended battery that fits the TMOUS HD2, which is larger than the Euro version. That battery is around $80 and has a "big hump" battery cover included.

I think there is some kind of Android thing where it won't charge unless the OS is running. I don't run Android myself on my HD2. But in any case you are going to need an external charger to get it going, or to flash back to WM to charge the battery.

Anyone know where could I get it? What is the battery capacity? And lastly what is the price range? Thanks ya.. I'm searching for it as i donwan to charge my phone twice a day.. quite irritating..

there are a few ebay sellers who sell the genuine htc battery. just search for "genuine htc ba s520" on ebay. most are based in uk. all around 15 - 20 gbp.
you will find several chinese aftermarket batteries claiming higher capacity than the 1450mah of the genuine battery, but beware. none of them (i've tested a few) actually last longer than the htc battery, in my experience. and i don't know if the quality can be trusted. they do cost a lot less than the genuine battery so it is a cheaper option.
u can try dc mugen

If it would be possible to put more capacity in the same size battery HTC would have done that from the start, you're only option is to get one of those fat 3500mah batteries from ebay with a thicker battery cover, i'm thinking of getting one of those, unfortunatly i can't put a silicon case around the phone then ...
is anyone aware which is better battery among the custom makers ?

SEIDIO SUPER EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY FOR HTC INCREDIBLE S
extended battery/door
Thanks mate, I'll take a look.
I've been using the previously mentioned Mugen 3700 mA extended battery (larger, yes, but I'm used to it already) for 2.5 weeks now.
I've completed calibrating and conditioning the battery thru the 5 discharge cycles as instructed, followed by some of the lore I've sifted from xda. It's been useful.
I used to charge in morning and had to be careful not to use my phone too much and need to charge again in one day if I used it a fair amount. My incS was used, so stock battery probably had wear.
Now I get two full days of moderate-somewhat heavy use, and very far into the 3rd day if I use it just for (many) texts and a few short calls and it sleeps half the time or more.
E.g., charged before bed, sat unplugged during sleep, heavy use today (gps for 30+ min, browsing, texts) and 71% capacity as of now.

Stick to genuine HTC batteries. Most of the Ebay fakes are far lower quality and often are mislabeled (especially if it claims higher capacity in the same form factor).
Your phone should last at least 24 hours on one charge though (unless you're using it very heavily). Try changing your habits a bit (turning off data/wifi when not using it) and also maybe try a battery calibration. If you do a battery calibration make sure you read a few guides on google and do it properly otherwise you will most likely be worse off.
Some aftermarket hi capacity battery need a special battery cover which makes it very ugly
I bought the 3500 mAh battery with fat back cover (from Ebay). Its a chinese ****s production... We know that on our IncS the antenna is placed inside of back cover. This chinese cover has some antenna as well, but the signal is much worse. For example with original cover I get like 4 full bars. With chinese ****s cover I get only 2-3 bars.
Im already having troubles with the signal in some places, but with this cover it will be even worse.. So I stay with my original HTC back cover. Dunno what to do with this 3500 battery..
why don't you buy another stock battery ?
i think stock one is gd enough.

Apparently, they claim to use Lithium Polymer technology as opposed to Lithium-ion.
Wikipedia says Polymer is superior to ion but also more expensive.
Only mobile manufacturer known to supply phones with Lithium Polymer batteries is Sony Ericsson.
Seido 3500mAH battery for HTC Incredible S is on eBay for $69. It says its assembled in Taiwan? Its also not as FAT as Mugen's but still needs a back door, which is included. They also have a website.
Mugen might have a new, superior competitor.

I still love my M8, and given that AT&T seems to have completely dropped HTC, I'm thinking of keeping it a while longer. However, the battery is beginning to flag, and I've contemplated attempting a replacement. However, I noticed that the M8S and M9 have very similar looking batteries, but with a slightly larger capacity (2840mAh vs 2600mAh). I'm wondering if the M8 can use this larger battery, given how similar they appear.
Has anyone tried it?
Also, has anyone tried the BinTek batteries? They appear to be "new" batteries, as opposed to the OEM batteries that are often as old or older than the original.
Thanks!
