Hey what's the reasoning behind occasional, I think after some calls when I adjust the volume or something after the call the volume is through the earpeace. The fix is to get in a call and hit speaker and adjust your volume then it goes back to normal. What's the dealio?

I don't understand what you're doing. What are you doing by leaving your earphones plugged in while you're on a call? (I'm assuming that you don't use these earphones on the actual call).
Earpiece, not headphones. Like you know. The phone has 2 speakers, front and back.

Although I dont have my captivate any longer, I used to have this problem all the time with my captivate. I always used DG roms but I am sure it was hardware related instead of rom related. You probably do not want to do a warranty exchange but it might fix it, I've been through 5 of them before moving to another phone.
I can't remember if its on other roms. I don't think its hardware related or it would happen more then not and it rarely happens and I can't replicate it plus it was a easy fix to get back to normal. Deffinately software bug if you ask me. Just wish I could replicate it.

It did it today. In the country, dropped a call then everything came out of the earpiece not speaker. Fix is to call, hit speaker then hang up.... ??? Why does it do this? Its been along time since it happened last but I'm still curious.

What's up guys...I was wondering anyone else has had issues with no audio. I don't know what is causing this issue but I have absolutely no audio. Tried restarting and still nothing.

Get an app that mutes and unmutes and see if that worked, I think I used audio manager

I had posted a week ago that I have no audio capabilities on my KFHD. One day it just stopped working. This happened before when I previously rooted.
I've tried Audio Manager to toggle the mute but it didn't work.
Can anyone suggest a fix? PLEASE

Sounds silly but have you checked you don't have anything stuck in the headphone socket. Also, do you have headphone output?

Look for sound fixer in the market. That'll do it.

Have you tried factory reset?

I had that happen one time and I figured out that it was a startup manager that had audio disabled, another time was after using headphones and a volume app fixed it

Thanks all for the help. I downloaded audio manager and toggled mute. Restarted. It worked.

Try going into Bluetooth settings and shutting off media for Bluetooth.

Anyone else having issues with static sounds when listening to music? At first I thought it was because of the equalizer but then I disabled it and its still there. This has been happening since I got my atrix so I'm sure it can't be because its dirty. Any solutions?

Have you troubleshooted? Different pair of headphones? Are you on a custom rom if so was it happening on stock? Try playing through the phones speaker?
I'm on stock and don't have any static.
