Ez Pdf reader works great, you even can highlight phrases etc. There is also the possibility of adding annotations.
I use FBreader and it works great for me, but that's just for reading... mostly ebooks, but it also handles PDF.
Also for the other people who click this thread searching for a Reader.......

I would also recommend FB Reader, tried a few readers over the years and this one is consistently good, very easy to use, perfect set of options etc. highly recommend.
Chuck Norris's reader is the best!!! LOL!!
Just kidding, use FBreader.
Quick office can handle all document formats even word etc..

Hi,
I bought today the last version of Thinkfree Office Mobile HD ( 4.1.110728 especially designed for honeycomb ) and I found it very very good
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tf.thinkdroid.hdamarket
I tried Quickoffice HD , Documents to go , Picsel Smart Office but for me Thinkfree is much better.
It has a very good compatibility with MS office documents ( Word, Excel and Powerpoint ) and it is optimized for use with tablet ...
finally i can use the tablet instead of my laptop also for work !!
Not bad.....no dropbox or Google docs is a deal killer for anyone that already has their life set up.

Yeah, it's not perfect , but i read that Google docs support will be a next feature.
For dropbox I open docs through the dropbox app , not a big trouble
hm, 10 bucks. I already have quick office but imo it kinda sucks. I was gonna just use splashtop to RDP to my desktop at home but my school's network blocks it, those dicks.
It's pretty crashy.
That and the weirdo line wrapping made me refund/uninstall it.

ssh port forwarding is your friend
I don't see why this is so good. I prefer QuickOffice HD Pro myself over this one.

In my case, the layout of the complex word documents (with tables and images floating) is much better the Quickoffice HD and have best supporting excel pages with complex formulas.
Horrid instead is the management of line wrapping on Thinkfree ...
I think so too.
I bought this app in realease day.
But this app needs more features.
But i satisfied.

imo, not a winner, yet... no dropnox and couldn't open a couple of my word and dtg files... however, best ui out there and good rendering of some files that dtg and picsel disformed... lots of promise if upgraded and supported... good enough to keep, update and watch, but I'll keep using dtg primarily and picsel secondarily and just use this when neither works until it is improved. For those using quickoffice, though, I think this would be an upgrade... but I thout QO-HD was such a poc I uninstalled and ate my losses.
Im gonna try this

Is there any PDF viewer that's as smooth as ibooks on the iPad?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
maybe the amazon kindle app...
Kindle started reading pdfs in December. I didn't know this until I looked it up as a result of this thread. That's cool.

I use ezpdf paid version, depends on the quality if the PDF file, but for most files it is pretty smooth and has a nice page flip animation, large HD photos take a few seconds to load.
Yeah I tried ezPDF and it seemed nice. Although I don't know whether there is a knack to the page flip animation but I could never seem to grab the page corner consistently. If you swipe it does it automatically, but I could never do it manually repeatedly.
At the moment I just use Adobe PDF reader. Does the job even if it's a big of a heavyweight.
I like to read a lot of magazines in my tab, most are in Pdf format. I'm currently using adobe reader since it is the only one that is very quick responsive and fluid. However this app is not really made for reading books so the experience isn't so nice. I have tried moon, aldiko, goreader and non of them works well. They are very laggy and slow. Any suggestions? I am very desparate!! Thanks in advance

try ezpdf reader.... its not bad with quite a few options. (better than Adobe's effort)
I think they all seem to suffer from lag
I agree, ezpdf reader is by far the best pdf reader currently out there. It has many features including annotate and read back.
I tried ezpdf the rendering to the odf is nice but it loads every time I flip a page? Why is this so? It seems that it its havung a hard time browsing through the pdf however this shouldn't be a problem any more since its already dualcore right??

I'm using SmartDevice PDF Reader (free from Samsung Apps). It renders pages faster than others.
I just loaded a couple PDFs onto my 7.7, and for the most part it loads things very smoothly with EzPDFreader.
However, pretty much any larger PDF (~100mb) does not render very quickly... every page turn I have to see a "loading" icon. Is there something I can adjust within ezpdf? I really like its UI and overall features, but super slow loading may be a dealbreaker. I'm thinking about giving Repligo a try.
And if anyone else has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear em!
In order of personal frequency of use: Repligo, Mantano... and (not so much anymore) EzPDF.

Aldiko (free version) works well also
Aside from EzPDF which I've been having issues loading large file slowly, I've just now tried Repligo and Mantano.
Repligo and Mantano both seem to render the images more quickly than EZPDF. I feel like Repligo is missing some pretty nice features found in some of the others. Mantano is looking like a pretty good option. Nice UI, fairly quick rendering of my larger PDFs along with some nice features. Although I feel like the text quality in Mantano doesn't appear as good.
For now, I'll probably split my PDF usage between EzPDF and Mantano. Anyone have any other pdf apps to try?
Mantano is good for handling large book libraries which would make it useful if you use your tab to read a lot. Repligo on the other hand is a more basic pdf reader it had less features and in turn makes it really fast and responsive

I think Ez PDF is the best reader but I have random battery drain problems with this app both on galaxy note and on galaxy tab 7.7 sometimes it goes OK and sometimes it eats up the battery, when this happens I check the task manager and is red with almost 50% of CPU usage.
I don't know what`s wrong with this app, it happens with pro, lite and Note version in several GB ROMs and now in HC with the 7.7
I'm currently using repligo with no battery problems and super low RAM usage
Anyone else with this problem ?

Do you mean EBookDroid? In any case, I'm really liking that.
Great reader, EBookDroid, didn´t know this app, smooth, a lot of settings and good quality if the CPU and RAM usage is low will be my definite reader
After using ebookdroid for a few hours it's the best PDF reader I've ever used and I think I've checked out all of them, performance is great, no CPU issues and a lot of options to personalize the reader.
I'd like to thank jeslan and Theory for letting us know about the program

You can disable the page flip in the menu. When it is just a slide to the next page it works pretty smooth for me.
If you are using Amazon kindle app, pdf loading is not a problem.
Morning everyone!
My now fiancé bought me a 7" tab2 for our anniversary and so far love it. Only thing I couldn't find info on was reviews on reading books/magazine on this tablet. Do you guys have any opinions on the reading magazines through kindle or google play?
Thanks in advance
Happy anniversary! I really like the Kindle app. I use it on all my devices for books and magazines. Easy to use and it is nice having everything sync and auto delivered.

Thank you for the respones guys!
I have Flipboard and Currents already on the tab since I loved them so much on my GNex. I also read my comics through comixology which is pretty good I'm just having difficulty setting up a year subscription for (The Walking Dead on there). I'll keep an eye on on the kindle app but I already see some mags. I want to subscribe to are either Fire or iOS only.

I tried every single reader on the Play Store, because I read a lot... And IMHO the best in terms of functionality is Fabrik because it links and synchronizes my dropbox ebook folder with my laptop, pc and tablet. It's quite useful because I have my library stored in dropbox and it also saves bookmarks between devices. I can't deny that Moon Reader and Aldiko shelves are eyecandy and full of options. But I consider Fabrik is simple, elegant. It also works with Google Drive.
Moon reader
I like Moon Reader+ but I'll try Fabrik after reading the previous post
yes... Fabrik definitely looks clean and functional !!!
I'm using Aldiko (see here).
I like it : simple and efficient.

Perfect...i will try the apps. The Fabrik seems to be very nice cause of cloud sync.
The Aldiko is in some days the next that i´m going to try...thank you everybody
