Hi Guys, just bought an HD7 and because i don't have much money i took it second hand , its full pack and it looks like new but of course there is something that went wrong - the camera isnt working , when launching the app it closes automatically without giving any message , i looked and found similar topic but i need help for some other things so i wrote this post
1. Is there any way to check when was my phone made? (year/month) i have IMEI and every other codes , found an imei decoder but it does not give any information about the production date , any help somebody?
2. The bigger problem the camera isnt working , i restarted the phone in 2 different ways - the standart and the second method with the hard keys (power off , on , and vol. up and down) nothing changed , im hoping the problem is software
I was thinking about installing different version , or rom , connected the phone , sync was ok , but the system was up to date so now i cant think of anything how to fix the camera...

If the camera will work with the stock original windows phone 7.0 rom can i go back to 7.0 , and this version of 7.5 installed in the moment is it official?
Also the level of brightness of the screen is very strange in windows phone 7.5 - only 3 levels , low medium and high , i want to put it in the level between low and medium to save battery , is there any app for that stuff

i don't have a definitive answer for your questions... but if you want to try a different Shipped ROM you'll need to downgrade your Bootloader below 5.xx. see the xspl tutorial in my signature. again, you only need to downgrade Bootloader in order to flash/try other Europe Shipped ROMs.
You could go to www.htc.com/support/online_chat/online_service.html ,input your IMEI and SN code to find out the production date of your phone.
Your camera: personally I suggest you flash any rom provided by this forum to see whether it can works well.

I had a similar problem my camera didnt work it did exactly what your did , i just pushed the camera module into the phone a bit hard and felt it go a bit down restarted the phone and now it works very good its a comon problem in the hd7! try it!

I mean put your thumb in the camera in the back of the phone and push it down until you feel it goes a bit down , than it should conect, restart your phone then.

I mean the camera is some how a bit loose it just needs a litle push to be properly installed

Morning all.....
This is my first dive into this area.....just got one of these (sim unlocked but on the orange uk network)
ive already got a dell streak and used to have a HD2.....
Very impressed with the front end - looks nice....connected to my exchange server without hitch (2010sp1)
And here's the question.....can i reflash with a generic rom - this has got all the orange crap on it....

Yup - just seen the post above....knee jerk reaction - will have a read.....
And i thought it was going to be easy.....if i try to get the phone into download mode by pressing the 3 keys i get a pic of the phone being plugged into the pc - i take it this is not download mode then...?
Use a USB JIG, you have a blocked bootloader. Very simple and cheap fix, you need the JIG only once.

Yeah - ironically ive been at this all afternoon - i built the jig device at work - got it into update mode but my laptop wont recognize it no matter what i do - tried it on a win xp x64 desktop (clean build) my own laptop at home (win 7 x64) and my work laptop - all the same - when its in update mode the device manager doesnt even bat an eyelid - as if nothing is plugged in....so, im stuck at the moment...
Have you got Zune installed? I think this is needed for the drivers.
yup - thats on there.....as i said - absolutely nothing from the device manager - its in download mode, plug it in, nothing - almost as if its switched off....normally if something's powered and plugged in it would at least register...but no.

It would appear that not all jig's are the same - i made one up at work with the said resistors...at the same time i ordered one off of ebay as it was a bit more of a pro job than what i knocked up....mine put it into download mode....but the ebay one put it into download mode also buy, crucially it registered in the device manager....
Hope this helps anyone else that gets this problem.

latest is 7.0.7392..
7.0.7004 is known as the RTM version. It was the initial version of the OS that the first WP7 retail devices shipped with.
1st update was 7.0.7008 aka pre-NoDo
These two versions are recommended if you intend to chevron-unlock (jailbreak) your phone, so that you can side-load apps (circumvent MarketPlace to install an app to the phone)
Then, we have the NoDo updates, namely 7.0.7355 / 7389 / 7390 / 7392 (being the latest)
If you flash these versions, or get updated to them, without having previously your phone jailbroken, you can not jailbreak your phone. In that case, flashing back to a previous Rom (bearing 7004 / 7008 version of the os) is your only option
And last but not least we 've got the Mango beta, with builds 7401 (initial) and then 7661 (after upgrading via special zune beta)

Ever since I installed mango beta , my phone reboots randomly from time to time and Zune has stopped recognizing the device. The backup utilities do not even work. Just glad the phone is still working.
Mine has been doing the same, started with NoDo after unlocking it. Now on Mango even worse. Only occurs when I am browsing, but very frequent.

my hd7 has the same condition as yours,but i think it should be solved.Because it has a long time no rebooted after i did some operation on it.
maybe my experience can help you to solve your rebooting issue.
1,reset a new rom
2,change storage card,it's best to choice class 4

You Should Use Gold Card Method and Flash Your ROM ....
Or You can Flash a Non Mango Version and Try Again
Some Times it's Happen Specialy in Mozart and HD7
Hi guys, in order to solve your problem you should Hard reset it, but if the phone is still reseting you will first flash a NoDo rom and then update it from the phone . This will solve your problem...

So i factory rested the phone, then installed rom manager from google play and instaled CWM then pressed reboot to recovery and the phone turned off. Now when i want to turn it on it stucks on LG logo, tried all combination (i think so) but it but it shows LG logo then screen turns off. Anybody help?
Edit: I found out that i can turn my phone in SW upgrade and use Smart Flash Tool, but the problem is that none of the drivers are working, i tried about 10 of them, pc cant recognize my LG, anybody help?

I had this problem like 5 months ago
OK read this and follow the exact guide im doing it personally so that you dont have to search! kk
(for getting your phone working)
1.install the phone drivers from the website ( it might show on the com port thingy then )
2. flash only a gingerbread rom or froyo rom because the ICS rom is locked with a bootloader and will cause the lg logo thing all over again if you flash
3.From this link download the gingerbread rom( download the V20A from venezuela )( http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1 )then use the rom convertor ( go to this link for the guide on how to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144577 )
4. if it works, all you have to do is put a rom on your sd and go on with your life
( PS I suggest you try HUEXXX's IZS ROM or Marvel V9 as they both are really stable and works really well)
as for other roms

causes permanent brick if not done well ( i think )
your not detecting problems could be anything!
try reinstalling the drivers all over again
or try another computer!
and also the USB CABLE you are using should be lg ones
and if any lg ones dont work use your OB CABLE!!

Tried reinstalling drivers about 20 times;
Tried on another computer still the same;
Tried other (not LG) cable still the same
Today I was at local service center, they said that they cant fix it, so they sent my phone to a better service and they have some kind of box mobile phone fixing tool. Looking forward, that costs 10 to 15 euros. hopefully they fix it.

Facing this problem with my phone..have tried a lot of googling but couldnt find anything..was just able to install the drivers for qualcomm msm..phone is not going beyond this screen after starting..any help is appreciated..
Well, that's less bad than what happened to *my* T899M... Have you tried hitting the Windows button to start recovery, as the screen suggests? Alternatively, you may be able to do a boot-time hard reset (the kind done by holding some buttons - I forget which ones, but it's documented online - while turning the phone on) since you were able to get as far as the Windows bootloader.
Without knowing more about what in particular has died, I can't really help.
hitting windows button doesnt do anything. although i was able to enter into something by holding the vol up+ power..but dunno what to do after that..
hard reset doesnt work either..im not able to reach the "exclamation" screen.the phone just vibrates and goes looping the windows screen..
any suggestions please..?? seems like a paper weight in the making..

First : start explaining when this happend ?
did you update the phone with the Cortana alpha firmware ? ( the last update on preview for developers)
if you did that then you can sent your phone back because there is no rom for your phone , only repair center can help you with that.

nope , only sent it back to Samsung or a Samsung repair center.

I don't wher to find the rollback package for this phone ( EVAL-L19-c605B397 LA version)
For now there's a lot of packages for Russia, Africa and middle east but i can't seem to find the one for me, i tried the C185B300 without succes, only software failed error.
I don't know what to do now, i want to downgrade to MM coz im having a lot of battery issues with N and i dont like that, becouse the phone is cosuming a lot of battery when it is screen-off.
( i spend like 1 day searching and trying everything).
sorry for my english guys, i hope you can understand everything.

Hello...keep trying to search this forum,but do not try to flash a version not made for your model(flash only firmware for C605).
I remember someone posted a list of firmwares.
But,before doing that,are you sure your battery isn't dying? My old P9 is used by my girlfriend and she has one day and a half before recharging...sometimes 2 days. And believe me,she uses facebook and other apps a lot. But she always turns off data when using wifi,turns off bluetooth,etc.
Also,I disabled autostart and background for all apps,except the ones that she wants notifications from(in phone manager,also in settings-battery).
I also disabled or uninstalled all unneeded apps,or replaced them with better ones(for example,I disabled google photos,google play music,I disabled and replaced chrome with UC Browser,etc).
When I was using it,it would hold a full day before recharging...but I also had the second sim inside,and using work emails(I work in IT so I have at least 10 mails per hour. I was using version B397,she has version B505,emui 5.0.4,European version).
Try that...with downgrading you may brick your phone...the battery is ok on nougat,so it's either your settings,or your battery is dying.

You can try downgrading by HiSuite
Must have new HiSuite version installed to PC, connect phone by USB to PC, allow installing HiSuite service to the phone
In HiSuite, take System Update, then Change version, and see if it offers you to downgrade to Marshmallow

Ok, thanks guys, i will look for the HiSuite option first, and yep, i sent the P9 to a battery change today but i dont have it right now, maybe tomorrow i'll can see if the new battery makes a huge impact in SOT.
