camerasettings mainfest
Hello!
The hungarian camerasettings mainfest file is not in the rom.
Can you fix this?
I attached the file.
Diagnosis app also not working, just saying loading.
WP7 Root Tools 0.8 - cannot open the Windows folder.
with a fresh installation everything works fine and awesome. but when i connect the phone with zune all xap's stop working. reboot does not help, reset does. i also tried reinstalling the rom but this also did not work.
anyway i love it! hope there will be a fix for this thanks for this !

Same here can't connect to Zune.. :S
Is there any more system languages out there? Was hoping for Swedish. The only phone I seen so far is Lumia 800 that uses Swedish system languages.

Everything works fine.
One small thing though, it seems that if you uninstall Bazaar or Registry Editor, the device returns to beeing InterOp locked.
Anyone witnessed the same behavior ?

Found a solution for the phone relocking...
Open the Registry Editor on your phone. Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > DeviceReg.
Now scroll to PortalUrlInt, remove its value data and save it. Do the same with PortalUrlProd. Both entries should now be "empty" (but not deleted!).

Looks like i bricked my phone trying this
I went to the download mode (all the samsung drivers were installed) started the DFT_ML1_SAM1.exe,
It detected my Omnia 7 and later throwed up an error (which i dont remember). After that phone just went dead.
Its not powering on after that ! any idea what to do guys ! i love this phone !!

Have an Omnia 7. I tried the connecting it to charger but the phone does not switch on.

1. Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
2. Run TofClock_HIMA_WM6_AKU.0.7.exe then click install, Wait till finish.
3. Hard reset your pda.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts.

Please note that this version is really the 'first' release of WM6 for Himalaya, so don't expect anything will be perfect!, You guys will make it much much better...and I might not be able to full support it, since I dont hv Himalaya device, I will help the best I can, you guys hv a lot good dev/people here, like utak3r, moeya, jiggs, illbasha, I'm sure they also will help support this new stuff...

Download my modified theme - DarkVisions. It's almost the same, as HTC default, but with added wallpaper with HTC logo.
helmi_c i found a little problem with this rom of yours which ur previous rom didnt had. HTC Kaiser's 10buttons Comm Manager worked perfectly in ur pervious WM6 rom but in this doesnt even get installed. When i install it it gives me following error:
"Installing was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."

hehe.. well actually i found that Comm Manager of Touch & Kaiser to be v.cool looking and it matches all the look of HTC Home & stuff.. so i use to use it.. it worked perfectly in helmi's last released rom but for some strange reason fails to install in this one. Do you know what the problem could be?

hey i managed to install it
you just have to make sure that that the current comm manager & the Network Wizard arent running. Kill those processes from task manager b4 proceeding ur install.

My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms - Info on Hard-SPL here
Do not let battery be below 50%
Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
Connect to pc (activesync) Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Alternative Flash via micro-sd method:
Make sure your x1 is hard-spl first
Make sure your micro-sd is formatted w/ fat-32
Rename the image file (normally "ruu_signed.nbh") to Kovsimg.nbh, copy that to the root of your X1's sd-card
Bring x1 to boot-loader mode by turning off the x1 completely. Hold the "volume down" button on the right, and hold the power on button until you see the tri-color screen.
Then follow the on-screen instruction
Please read here to get the best xperience with my roms:
Do a Hard-reset after flashing is done
Wait with installing any apps/progs until you have tested the performance and stability of the rom.
Tweaks and regedits are allready set to max up the performance, if you install tweaking cabs or other performance cabs, they might not work well with this rom, and can ruin the performance of the rom.
Before reporting bugs, try think before you post; is it related to something you have altered?
Missing programs is not a bug. I do not wish to have comments on why this and that are missing. Get a cab..

Good to know about the rom:
There is no "new startmenu" the rom uses wm6.5 menu
The programs tab is not included (not supported in this manila v.)
There is a "grey bug" in some ereas due to use of standard .tsk file (theme) this can be altered by using a wm6.5 theme. New themes for 6.5 can be found in various ereas of XDA
There is a new feature to install cabs in initial setup. How to further down on this post
How to use the Cab Autoinstall:
Create a new folder at the root of your SD-card called Autoinstall.
Put your cabs into that folder (the cabs must be set to read only)
All cabs put in this folder will automaticly be installed, faster then usual UC
No need for any reg/setup

Is the program-tab in TF3D present? Tried a Winmo 6.5-rom and wasn't too fond of the startmenu since it had no easy way of changing the position of the programs. Bet there's some cab though
Will the PIM Backup-program included in 10.4 work with this one? Figured there might be problems due to windows mobile 6.5...

Still no Automatic Keylock possible without .cabs being all messed up? Perhaps the power-button is the best keylock

I wish that i could test but unfortunatly my language is missing (portuguese), something that i suggest to build in, of course a custom has the objective to less size but without full language support, less users will use...its just a suggestion, dont get me wrong.

you can just image update the language you want
that is why I only have a few langs installed.

yes stock image update works.
this rom doesn't have htc drivers , I will make a image update package with htc drivers so that for the ones who like to have htc apps.

Bocko92, i think 3G issue is a hardware factory problem in many Omnia 7 and not a software, you can read about in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855775

now os 8773 with latest firmware 12.4.2 for os 8773. maybe is more stable and full compatible, while official.
os 8779 is made for few nokia and few rare htc ... not specially for samsung omnia7

I did not have any issues. Sometimes apps seem a little slower to open since order to open by user.
On 8779 I dunno why boot time seems a few percent increased, otherwise rOm works very well, it seems a little slower to get the TV programs in "Programme TV" app.
With last firmware, any of 8773 or 8779, I feel time to open Pictures Library is reduced, especially when browsing for a pic to send via SMS/MMS app, it seems faster. Maybe it's just me
Question : Wifi is On by default, waiting for a connection choice from user (select acces point & credentials). Will this decrease battery life, even if not connected via wifi to any network ?

the root manger is generally "new" compared with the previous unlock method. but the same as in my mi7ROM 8779 OS, only based on 8773 OS. Is mainly for user, the have problems with the os8779 relase. I'm not sure, but i mean, the OS8773 + fw 12.4.2 fir os 8773 works a little bit smoother, without glitches ....

On my device, after flash by default wifi ON, (activated) waiting to scan for AP
It can be deactivated by the WP7 toggle without problems. That's what I do after boot

No It's a ROM to flash it. It's to complex for a update cab ...
Confirmed the feeling of greater fluidity and stability, using os8773. And, of course, there are versions for all...Chapeau! :silly:
I'm using this rom for a week now, and I have to say, the Battery use is really great!!! I never could use my phone that long with the stock rom or other custom roms (I used the mi7rom os 8779.8) For example, I could use my phone for 19 hours when I got 70% left.

I also voted 5 stars. It's a stable rOm, no reboot or whatsover ...
Since I used mirolg rOms never had unexpected reboots. I had it once with an operator rom ... whilst changing a song on Zune Player on the LockScreen. Meeuh.

Image update packages
for the .cabs you need to image update the phone (no need to reflash or hardreset)
BACKUP
Before you continue, you may want to make a backup of your device for in case something goes wrong. You can do this with the update tools, but I use a separate tool to have more control over the backup-process. This is what I do to make a backup:
Download CabSender
It is from xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender thread.
Use Zune 4.8 final (4.8.2345.0).
Setup-UpdateWP 4.8 beta 3 from the archive.
Extract the "Tools" folder from the archive.
Setup the Backup tool to reference Zune.exe and the UpdateWP.exe in the extracted Tools-folder.
Create your backup.
The backup app will allow you to archive any previous backup.
Your phone will restart and go in Download-mode.
When the backup is finished, the app will tell you to disconnect.
Even though your phone says you still can't disconnect, you can safely disconnect the phone and it will restart.
INSTALL WP7 UPDATE TOOLS
First make sure you have Zune 4.8 final (build 4.8.2345.0)
Download the WP7_update_tool.rar and install the UpdateWP package for your platform (x86 or x64). This is version 4.8.2134.0.
Download the WP7 Update Cab Sender.zip from xboxmod and extract it. This also contains a patched version of UpdateWP.exe which will work with Zune 4.8 final.
INSTALL THE UPDATE PACKAGES
Copy all the CAB files you downloaded to the folder where you extracted xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender. The CAB's should be in the same folder as the BAT-file.
Run the batch-file and press 'S'.
Your device will reboot and start in download-mode.
You'll see progress on the screen of your desktop, but it may take more than 10 minutes before your WP7 device is starting to show a progress-bar, even for small updates. That's normal, because the device is scanning for installed packages and performing merges.
When the update is ready, your device will be rebooted again and it will boot Windows Phone with new version and or custom packages.

that means that when you install a xap that Needs root Access you will get a notification, if you click the notification it brings you root Manager.
