I tried so many roms, many I don't like, I love GDX v19 with linux kernel but I have too much battery drain.
So help me if you can
I'm judging for battery duration, smoothness and speed. I also want a rom that suports ICS layouts.

It must be, i find it strange too!
I've seen many posts saying that is the normal battery so for a test I made a factory reset and didn't instal a single thing in the phone, still battery drain
clear batery stats in cwm then charge to full then reeboot in cwm and wait till batery full its works for me

GC 8.2 at the moment, stock kernel, don't really see the fuss with custom kernels at the moment, nothing major (of interest to me) is added..

what happened??
i mean using nAa kernel it cause your wifi doesn't work???
Common....!!
NoBodyAtall will pissing away if his read your post man...
here my advice
1-flash nAa kernel again (v7 or v6)
2-if still got a problem just use stock kernel
Sometimes when the screen is off and i would like to turn on, and i press the middle button, but the screen doesn't appears. I need to pick out the battery, and put it back.
Sometimes when i rebooting, my phone is freeze, the screen is black, and don't happen anything. Again i need to pick out the battery and put it back.
Why?
I used MiniCM 2.1.6, GingerXperiaRay v003 and i had this problem with these roms. I think this is kernel problem.
Thanks for your answer and sorry for my bad english.
The best rom for me is gingerdx v22+alfs kernel v6.Also i haved this rom and i have the same problem and i flashed gingerdx v22 and didn't have of none problems.Sorry for my bad englisch.I am Poland.

That's weird... have you tried pressing the lock/ power on/off button? Never heard about this problam before. IMO I would change kernel and rom to gingerdx v022 and alfs kernel v06 uncapped

I believe MiniCM7 2.1.9 is out, alongside nAa 11 kernel. The ROM has been thoroughly used by the community and most issues thrashed out. That's asides being a vast improvement over MiniCM7 2.1.6
I suggest you upgrade.
i was using minicm7 + nAa 08 last night.
in morning i woke up to find touch not working(press somwhere else and something else got selected.)
chnaged to alfs + gdx then shifted to stock kernel and android 2.1.touch still not working
i think its hardware problem
any guesses??
please help me
i really like my x8

I think that its really a hardware problem
u can try with flashing the stock kernel and stock rom...and then re-locking the boot loader...if not then u can confirm that its an hardware issue....

Hello there, i have a problem with gingerDx v29, im using v28 atm with alfs v09a, so far so good, but when i instal v29 i get a com.android.phone error as soon as i put the ping and then the error keeps looping. i tryed re-instal, wipe data, (wipe everything that i could with CMW actualy) but it still doesnt work, i read the forum in order to find an answer but didnt find it with this SO, (also tryed a solution that seams to work in others so like fix permisions). How do i solve this?
I really hate to bother but its been 5 days and i can make it work.
Thanks in advance!
i think your kernel is alfs gdx.try to use alfs 8a / 9a for cm7.

alfs v9a
im having a little screen moving problem, i think its the kernel alfs v9a, i'll try v8 and let you know
Edit; Alfs v8a solves the problem
Hey guys i'm having the same problem with the screen moving bug, it moves to the right a little bit. I tried alfs v8 and it solved the problem but I still don't think it's the best answer since the combo gdx v29 and alfs v8 has A LOT of battery drain on 3g and sync on (in 8 hours it drains 90 percent of the battery just in standby).
Is there any other thing I can do to fix this screen problem? If not i'll just go back to stock kernel
Afaik alfsv9 has that bug. Try oc'ing above 690 and use on demand.

Hey thanks for answering, I'm on demand right now, and the cpu is set to 122 mhz min and 691 mhz max (basically I didn't change anything). Any other ideas?
Pretty weird bug I hope there's a good fix for this, cos alfs v9+ is the kernel with the best performance I've tested so far.
