tweak given in first post mean to make your phone superfast and its working with CM9, cant say about this over mokee, your can try , just take backup through Titanuim backup before that so if something goes wrong you can restore to your previous point.
Also check V6 / 7 supercharger, it help me on MIUI to make phone fast. for reference you can check one of the threrad related to miui in general section. PAARKHI has given link for V6 supercharger.

First you need to install CWM Recovery from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529863
Second you need to download CM9 from here:
http://galaxyics.com (Click DOWNLOAD, scroll down and click on Select below the Mini picture, then click on Releases, then click Download)
Then flash it through CWM.
You might know this already, but if you really want to install CM9 in a SGM, you need to have in mind that CM9 in SMG is not stable (yet). For example, if you want to install the CM9 of Squadzone, you should really read these two links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20495725&postcount=225
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20703957&postcount=286
Of course, there are other versions of CM9 for Samsung Galaxy mini in the Dev. Forums, but I didn't try them.
About the CWM, I use the v4, because at the first time when I wanted to install CyanogenMod, the CWM v5 didn't install the ROM correctly (never passed from the bootscreen "android"). And the Backup/restore in CWM v5 didn't work it (at least in my Galaxy Mini). But the Restore function worked perfectly in CWM v4 and, until now, I hadn't problems installing other ROMs in my SGM.
I really recommend (for now) use CM7 RC 5.6 or (RC 5.3 - the one that I'm using it now). If you want CM9 only for the ICS Appearance, you can install a ICS theme with "Theme Chooser" from CM. There's also an ICS Launcher that works good.
Just Saying~
you need to have in mind that CM9 in SMG is not stable (yet)

From that link in my previous post I installed CM9 on my SGM and it is very usable to me.
I'm not using it constantly because it lacks some features that I found, and I'm used to, on squad's CM7, for example. But it's very good.

Nice! which CPU governor did you use and with what Min and Max frequency? How did you do with the laggy visual effect? right now, would you prefer CM9 more than CM7 from squad's? I'm asking all these questions because I want to have CM9 in my SGM but somehow, the first and second time I installed that CM9 I went back to my CM7.2 RC 5.3 backup xD

I always use as Governor lilgV2 (or SmartassV2 when present) and I/O noop. On that ROM the laggy visual effect is hardly noticed, try it!
As I said before: I'm not using CM9 (yet) because it lacks some features that squad's CM7 has. But if you are not used to them, you will not note any difference.
You should try it and see for yourself.
Regarding CM9 Beta4, just read the thread in this section and the entire thread in the dev section before you fiddle with it and decide if it's worth it for you.
There's a lot of fiddling and some things are somewhat working while others, like camera, are just not working at all.
IMO, it's not for daily use and won't be for a long time but if you have a spare mini, give it a try and help with the development and bug reporting.

Follow as per the steps given
The instructions are very clear to understand. You will not have any problem, if you follow all the instructions.
Hey all
since its all going so confusing on Dev forum that i cant keep up
i want a stable ( not laggy ) customizable battery efficient preferably ics or jb based ( i dont care about games bugs)just daily use and camera
im on zeus v7 but its giving me hardtime
and also if i wanted to try cm10 which one should i download since theres so many nightlies versions im confused?
thanks inadvance
test latest nightly
http://jenkins.cyanogenmod.com/job/android/10865/
but if you want performance, battery efficient, and all feature working, stick with zeus.
if you have problem with v7, try v6.4
Thanks dude but i dont think im qualified enough to test something new !is there any other tested version of cm 's?and i should download the zip file only..right ?

Hi
Just successfully installed Cyanogen Mod 7.2 on my Xperia X8.
Everything is awesome, but i have the inconvenient experience that the default number of homescreen panel (i really don't know if that's the current name, i refer to the panels where you put the widgets on your homescreen) is too many, 5. I'd like to reduce that number to 3 or 2, but i cannot find where.
On my Galaxy Gio this is done doing a pinch on the homescreen, but i can't figure why this gesture doesn't not work the same in the X8.
Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure, but go to Settings>CyanogenMod>Launcher(?). Change the number of homescreens from there. I'm not sure this is the actual process though.
Just try any other launcher like launcher pro or any other launcher..

hi there mate,
cm7 for x8 is essentialy the best ROM in terms of performance and stability! :good:
you can try out these ROMs and find which suits your style! and as by far you have a stock kernel you can try this!
That interface is called a "launcher". There is a possibility that the launcher coming with your ROM doesn't support reducing/increasing the number of screens. Search the settings thoroughly to see if this is the case.
If it is, then I recommend you try a different launcher, and there are really many to choose from. Personally, I recommend either ADW Launcher EX or Holo Launcher Plus (this one I feel is better). Both support reducing the number of screens, they are very configurable, and actually work ok for the X8. Also, if you're experimental, you might even try the Next Launcher. It's a 3D launcher that's amazingly smooth and looks very appealing. The only con with it is that it takes quite a chunk of RAM to run properly.

to all, NOT WORKING ON GB based roms, including cm7...try on cm9, cm10, cm10.1, for sure that working on cm10.1 , you can try on cm9 and cm10 without worry of bricking or bootloops, cause if dont work, you will get only force close
If anyone want this on GB , you MUST try the latest Cyanmobile compiled by midhato, it comes with this (Pie Control) backported from Paranoid Android and it´s awesome. You don´t even need to installl LMT, just go into settings/interface and you will find it
