Hi brother original_ganjaman
I wanted to ask you: "If i can assist you in moderating our SGT 7.7 then dont hesitate to tell me that"
Its not that that you dont do your work properly - its cause some guys really dont understand in wich section they have to make their threads. Or they ask before they search in forum.....
Sometimes its really annoying ... you know that better than me
Just like following threads.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535524 <--- Reported - must be in theme&app section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1536207 <--- Reported - must be in General section

Did you post and now you can't find it?
1. Try looking at your previous posts by using the link below (replace *userid* with your userid)
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=*userid*
or go to your profile and it is under statistics.
2. If you can't find it, it was probably deleted.
3. If you think it was deleted DO NOT POST about it. PM neoobs (me) and I will try to find it. If it was deleted by mistake I will recover it for you.
If you start a thread asking where your post/thread went, I will delete it. If you start too many of these threads, I will ban you for a week.
I am locking Tutorials to try and keep them clean, Please try to add a page to the wiki or add to another page (all hero tweaks under the page for their specific rom) with what you posted.
If you need a support question answered PM me and I will reopen it.
It appears a reminder may be in order, about the purpose of the development fora on XDA.
If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?
Any ideas on how to make the Android forums better?
Sticky the builds so all non-sticky are Q's?

Will make a poll when i have we get a few more ideas
There should be a topic wich would be actualised.
It should has all informations about every Android build.
What works, what doesn't work and links to these whole builds(new uploads with links on other servers than megaupload).
The topic should be some kind of list. But with informations about it.
Builds should be sticked, and creators of these topics should have a rule. Every topic should has a complete changelog.
Because now, we have a mess! Everyone says that his build is the best, that's annoying. I don't know wich one is the best for me i don't have full informations about them... I don't want to search whole their topics.
Maybe Q/A section would be useful. Right now there are questions irrelevant to topic title everywhere. It would be nice to gather them around, so build threads can be strictly about builds.
I think that would make section a bit cleaner.
We Have Started The Xperoid page at facebook and we need to setup twitter so that built info can be passed fast ...... direct links to the dloads and not the file sharing site so that we dont need pc to dload .. it can be done in mobile and resumed hopping for the best . thanks .
althuogh is't nice to have a free forum, I see that a moderator should have the role of filtering the new post mainlly when they introduce a release, everybody should have a structured way to post, change log, version, and so on. I suggest to have some fixed kind of test that a new release has to pass before releasing it.
I don't think we should force developers to format their posts. They are already doing hard jobs to develop, so they can go easy on posts
Xperia x10 android rom on xperia x1
or perhaps take on android rom xperaia x10 on xperia x1?
it would be great to have applications as xperia x10 like timescape, trackid, mediascape ...
yea maybe not everything is as smooth as our xperia x10 x1 has no such things as 3D Acelerator 1GHz ... but I would have xperia x10 rom on my x1)
template idea

yes, you are rigth when you say the developer have to go easy to post, that why should be a moderator that at least create a template for some kind of post, the reason is to find more o less the same information when they have post an update or something new. Having a template should easy their job on posting the correct info and have back the correct information for debug or problem.
Do you mean to create a kind of Reference Thread, I can't do anything about where people host their Developments.
I will add sticky all builds and developments to the list

1st of all , this is not the right place to post your question ... u should post it on Q/A Section
2nd , yes u can go back to download mode . why u didn't try before u post ?
am sure if u try it , u shouldn't post this thread from the 1st
go back to download mode and flash gingerbread back
Cheers
Yeah, go into Download Mode and flash this ROM http://www.multiupload.com/F6D7U1RUHD via ODIN or Heimdall. let it boot one time. After that you can install any ROM you want. If you need help, try the Overcome Guide, it shows you step by step what you have to do.

And if everybody thought like that, this section would be completley useless as all we woudl be able to see while browsing is topics about, "how do I do this?" "How do I do that?" , "HELP please" , "ive bricked my tab, help!" etc etc etc, This section is for devs to post dev projects and reference, nothing more.

a) I have no desire to be a forum mod although if I could I would happily move them. I own and run my own non-mobile related forums and other sites. I'm simply pointing out what SHOULD be obvious to anybody who uses this forum.
b) The thing they should be "remembering" for next time is use the Q&A forum not the dev forum.
Hopefully all this will be solved once the Developer usergroup is created and then they can restrict the creation of topics i here to that group only. That will solve all the dilution of the section.
To all of the senior members contributing to my thread:
First of all thanks to you guys, specially Maxis for providing me the info and i am back to my running galaxy tab .
Secondly i apologised for any inconvenience once again. i merely thought that all the gurus like you guys are attending the development section more than a question answere area, and that since i upgraded throgh that section i should get my query answered more quickly.
i did raise a question few weeks back in Q.A forum. I respect the forums policy and trust me i am a gentleman techie.
But in my point of view if so many rules and regulations are applied then the actual purpose of acquiring information would be more difficult and less effective. but yes i think it has to be related to what the information is required in what manner.
starting this thread may have got me few senior member's notice me and may be you guys will allow me to messge you personally just incase i m to brick my galaxy tab again, cuz i think i will .
thanks again , and for your patience in bearing with me if i can be of any help just let me know any time
cheers

The first realase was posted the 2011-12-30, it's all new, that's why we have almost none information.
iyokan is for Xperia Pro.
Nobody knows EXACTLY the functionnality of this ROM
Nobody knows EXACTLY the bugs of this ROM
If you know something about this developpement, please post a comment, thank you !
You should'nt flash this ROM yet, so don't try it at home if you don't know what you do. Use it at your own risk!
Same ROM as FreeXperia ?
94Mo in memory after first boot.
Strangely, it appears to be the same as ...: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315904
... very few things are different for my eyes.
Bug on FM and HDMI for the moment
May be, if you guys are digging a little, new elements will appear
Some changes in Applications, same Apk as FreeXperia X52 :
Plus:
VpnServices
Stk
Pacman
livewallpapers (&Picker too)
HTML Viewer
CMstats
ADWLauncher
Androidian
Less:
Keyboard changer
Well, good luck to discover this ROM
PS: if my thread is not in the right section, please move it...but I talk about a ROM in a section of developpement which contains some threads about Mk16's Rom...

***Do Not Post Your Question Here, It Will Be Locked/Deleted*** Please Read!!!
I posted that link on the freexperia project and... It wasn't discussed that widely yet for
1. It's a nightly build which means almost like alpha version. Not really for end users yet.
2. There's no Xperia Pro forum. Xperia Pro users here on xda-developers are jumbled up on different sub forums.
Also that build just showed up not so long time ago.

So....I checked, and I'm not in General Section.
PLUS :

Again, if some moderator found that this topic is in the wrong section, please move it, but I don't deserve any sanction or topic deleted.
And now, if someone like Riyal know any more details, you're welcome
Yes, it shouldn't be in general section, but in development neither.
It's a question, so it should be in Q&A.

Well, please some moderator move this topic in the right section...
Xperia Pro Q&A for example...or Arc Q&A..which is not the right place neither
It's Arc Q&A.
The Arc subforum is also for Arc S as well for the Pro.

FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A sEE POST #1: "READ THIS !!!"
Q How’s battery life?
A I see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest
Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads for specific ROM's to posters.
"Hi dear followers of this ROM,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this ROM with the permission of the Developer of this specific ROM.
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any rom. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average rom being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each rom. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."
This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this ROM
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this ROM
5. Questions about ETA, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri
