Can somebody please tell me if there is a working Samsung Galaxy S2 Digital Clock widget for Cyanogenmod 7?
I've tried to install two different apk's, but the system refuses to accept them
Edit: Even Titanium Backup doesn't want to restore the files that I have from a backup.
It has different framework, you cant restore it. And no, I think you cant install it, as i said, it needs touchwizz framework

Hi,
I made a mistake while doing the TouchWizmod and deleted the original TouchWiz data..
Now i have a blackscreen with the notification bar..
I fixed it with installing LauncherPro via Adb.
Now i can see something but when i go to Homescreen swichter it says not determined yet..
I already made a factory reset.
I'm thinking about flashing my SGS via Kies with reghack but I'm not sure..
Can anyone help me restoring the TouchWizdata?
Thanks.
Deleting the TWlauncher's data will only cause TWlauncher to recreate that data, it's not big problem.
You're actually describing a correct behaviour in the second part of your post - having installed launcher pro the phone now needs to know which app (TW launcher or launcher pro) to use as default; that's why it's asking you after reboot.
To fix TW launcher, pick that as the default app and leave it to recreate it's data - it should only take about 30 seconds or so to revert to the default TW layout; plus then maybe another 30 seconds or so to rebuild your app list when you click on applications.
Twlauncher is not in the list,so I cant pick it.
And it still says not determined yet.
Even after picking Launcher Pro..
Any Suggestions?
After i downloaded adb launcher i can pick Launcher Pro as default.
But i still need TW.
Pls help
In System/app do you have a file called TouchWiz30Launcher.apk?
No,I already said it.
I deleted this file =/.
To be sure i searched for this file.
I just got TouchWiz30Launcher.odex
Find TouchWiz30Launcher.apk here on the forums. There's a nice patched one with some good improvements you might want to try.
Also, this is not Development. Thread reported.

No, you said you deleted the data but what you deleted is the launcher itself.

Hi guys
I m new on android but I like my gtablet better than the Ipad.
I don't like the tapntap ui but I like all the apps.
I tried to install app from tapntap ui on tnt lite but I failed.
I success for ( all ok) :
weather, clock, to do list.
I failed for :
calendar : it's working but when I restart the tablet, after I have the old calendar. (tnt)
Email: not working
news, grocery list : not working :/
if someone can help me for these apps ?
I installed the apps by the ifilemanager with the apk. ( system/app) and I copy/ past the framework (tapntap).
Thank you guys
sorry for my bad english
You could try installing the ViewSonic 3389 update and the v2 performance pack. That would give you the option of switching between the stock TnT and a standard android look. You would have all the apps you want and still have the Market. Install Clockwork recovery and make a backup first so if you don't like it you can switch back. You have to wipe data/cache but if you backup your apps/data with titanium backup it only takes a few minutes to reinstall.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885940
thank you very much.
I'm thinking also to multiboot between two roms installed on the sdcard.
Is it possible ?
thanks
Not that I've seen but with clockwork recovery installed you could switch between several roms in a matter of minutes by setting up each rom the way you want and then backing it up. You could then switch between backups without having to completely reinstall everything
Hello,
I would like to install Samsung Apps on my miui rom but if I try to only install the apk it fails, I tried from adb and I got a "missing shared library" so I would like to know witch file I have to send on my phone to make it work.

Most Samsung apps cannot be installed on a CM7 based ROM such as Miui since they require the Samsung Framework to function. I suggest finding replacements for whatever Samsung apps you are missing in the Market.
Well I could get it from a samsung rom if it's only a file to add.
Or is this the framework.jar ?
Just installed [AOKP]Galaxian-Soup[GT-7310/7300][r2.1][03.27.2012].
Wanted to get back some of the Samsung apps I had on stock, things like Allshare, Samsung Apps, etc.
Is it possible?
Bump........
I just flashed the ROM you mentioned, and it seems there is a conflict between samsung apps and the ROM (or all ICS ROMs?)
I tried restoring Polaris Office with Titanium Backup but the app FCs shortly after opening. I'll try restoring something else to see if it's a unique problem (I highly doubt it) or if most of the samsung apps have this problem.
Most Samsung apps (including Polaris) have libs in system/lib folder. Without those libs it surely doesn't work. Some apps have dependencies in other system libs and thats why they don't work on ICS.
I don't see CONTACTS in my Sync options in Galaxy Gear. How can I get CONTACTS on my Galaxy Gear?
My Tablet Talk can't access my contacts; when I click on the magnifying glass, it tells me "This device does not support the built in Android contact chooser"
Is there a contacts APK or something I'm missing? I exported my vcf file and put it in my Galaxy Gear SD root, but I don't know how to load it so that my Tablet Talk can see.
Please help because Tablet Talk is amazing, but I would love to be able to choose contacts and see my contact names instead of just numbers.

Install the People app via the null_ installer, then tether Internet (and spoof WiFi/Mobile if necessary), go into Settings > Accounts, and sync Contacts.

Where do I go to access the null_installer to be able to install the People app? Is it under { } Exposed setting? I already installed the framework to spoof WIFI.

It's one of the options when you install null_ rom - flashable installer at nullproject.net
It may be available loose but I don't know where.

There's no way to access the option again to install components you didn't select when you first install the ROM? I guess I didn't select the PEOPLE app when I first put in the Null ROM
Is there any way you can provide the APK? I tried installing the Contact.apk from another thread, but it's for ICS and it just crashes for me. I believe I need it for Jelly Bean?

null_ ROM has a no wipe base so AFAIK you can just reflash it and choose whatever new components you need.
In the Null ROM ZIP file, it has the folder tweaks/apps/contacts/ Contacts.apk and ContactsProvider.apk
I installed Contacts.apk but it still crashes. I believe I need to install the ContactsProvider.apk as well for it to work/store contacts, but I'm having difficulty installing the Provider.apk... when I try it with MobileGo, it says authentication failed. When I try to instal it through the Galaxy Gear, it says Application not installed. Any help?

If you have custom recovery I would just make a backup, copy the backup to your PC, then re-flash null with the extra options.
If settings/whatever somehow get wiped (I'm pretty sure they don't), just restore from your backup, then you can tinker.
But I'm pretty sure it works to just install over - it'll be less time than tinkering around and possibly still ending up with a half-broken install.

There's no way to manually install the ContactsProvider.apk? I installed Contacts.apk just fine but have no idea where to place manually or successfully install ContactsProvider.apk...
Sorry, but where can I access Custom Recovery? Is that an App I have to install in the Gear? Can I just backup with MobileGo?
WOOHOO I got it to work.
I used Root Explorer and allowed access to the System folder. I just copied the ContactsProvider.apk to system/app and now I can open the Contacts App without crashing. YAY!!
