First post in off topic sooooo please be gentle! And this is for the people who always have a song or a phrase from aa song stuck in their heads. This idea came from me having "life is a beach and im just playing in the sand" from right above it by lil Wayne stuck in my head.

These threads pop up from time to time but never seem to last.
I think OT needs an established musician oriented thread.
To answer your question, I dabble with a few instruments and some electronic gear. I don't really get enough time to sit and properly work on anything these days though.
Truth is id much rather be mixing someone elses tracks than recording my own.
Maybe that's how I should spend my weekend off.

If money is not an issue try to always go for treatment of conservative nature i.e. try to get the RCT redone!! If the tooth is a third molar then extraction is the best course in my humble opinion ..

New Nightwish album disappointment

Any Nightwish fans here get the new album yet? I just got it today and I'm horribly disappointed with the style of music they have gone to.
One of their songs "Slow Love Slow" is my main problem because it is some kind of soft jazz type of song. But all around their songs are about completely different things. They used to be deep, now they just seem really shallow in the lyric meanings. I wish Tarja could have stayed

Never heard of them so I guess I didn't miss much, korn's new album is a huge disappointment as well. They seriously need to go their separate ways.

Tarja is the old singer Anette is the new one. I actually liked Dark Passion Play because that was my first Nightwish album. But the new one is just horrible and doesn't sound like them at all.

I usually respond with "Have faith in me and I will lead you." but sometimes when I am not in a mood for it I will say "Please don't compare the way I look to a dead artist's rendition of what he imagined a hypothetical construct to look like." (That'll get some looks.)
I get called "hippy" allot too because of my hair.
Most people just call me Steven, sometimes people that dont know me well call me Steve, and a few of my good friends sometimes call me Steve-o even though probably because they know I dislike it. When I am up north I get called "Bama" or "Dirty".

Iirc there's a site where that song(?) continues indefinitely.. Am i even making sense? I think i just killed the english language.

also another sogn with some techno beats / jumpstyle, but for a single song its around like 6 minutes, called driver thru

Dream Theater's "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" is the longest song I have at 41 mins. It's a single song/track but it has 8 parts, an intro, six parts describing six different people suffering from different psychological disorders from bipolar to dissociative identity disorder, followed by a finale. It's pretty fantastic.
Besides Dream Theater (they have a bunch of long songs) and live versions of songs, Iron Maiden's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is near the top too, at close to 14 minutes. It's Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem of the same title adapted to an epic song. It's also one of my favorites!

There's no point of songs that long
I'm not gonna listen to a 41 minute song
I would rather prefer listening to ten other songs
