I used speed test app and tested my data speed.
I got:

After an hour I noticed that my internet were slow. So I tested my data speed again and got this:
And I was like wtf? So I tested it again and it were the same... So does this mean that I have to flash a new radio?
Rom: Inferno sense
S-OFF
Root
4ext recovery
I never changed the radio. So it should be the newest one from the original ota update sense 3.0.
Thanks!

If you were on mobile data you had 3G on the first test and 2g on the second.

What do you mean?
i don't think its because of the radio. did the signal bars drop out suddenly? if not then i think your radio is fine. you problem maybe due to some network congestion

Reboot your router.
Also - which ROM are you using?
And - why are you concerned with WiFi speed? I get 350KBps max from my provider.

im using aokp M6.
i use wifi at home to save data usage but it seems slower than 3g.

Might be router because i am on same rom and have slow data speeds were i live

Other one didn't post right... here my speeds on same rom my area little slow
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
I have similar problem. I have tried so many different modems (and roms), the results are basically the same: download at 50~500kbps level, upload at 5000kbps level.
I am 100% sure that router is not the problem.
I have AOKP M6 on my Captivate and I do not have slow wifi issues. It's not the rom.
Maybe you're just getting a crappy connection from your ISP. I have Fios and my speeds are always stellar.
Hey guys
Just wondering just checked my data usage for this month and before anyone says im on uk 3 running the one plan with all-you -can-eat data. I donn have a problem with how much i use so..

As far as im aware i have no background data running its a bit odd

Yeah it definitely looks like something is auto-updating, Have a look under accounts and sync and see whats there. You could also use an app like droidwall to stop certain things accessing the internet over mobile data.
But you do have AYCE so dont worry too much about it. That is unless the AYCE has a 'fair usage' policy
Usually widget / account syncs and updates that pushes up the Android OS from memory..
Hi guys I had a look but I've recently flash unofficial CM10 preview so I'll see how this will run that's for all the help guys

I've started this thread mostly for the makers of CyanogenMod to (hopefully) see some glitches. In the possibility that there is some forum on their site, could you please redirect via PM or reply? Thanks
Onto actual topic: I notice whilst using my S III (Sprint) (the ROM is CM 10.1.2-d2spr) when I click on mobile data from the profile page (when you bring down the bar on top right corner) it shows an 'x'. However, the mobile data isn't actually disabled you have to go manually to aeroplane mode (which is kind of a downer for me because I don't have any connection where I am and am running on Wi-Fi) and then go to Wi-Fi to turn it back on. This isn't a big deal and I'm definitely not whining, just giving my experience/thought.
Thank you!

Does it matter if mobile data isn't disabled if you've got no signal and you're running off WiFi?!?

Well when it isn't disabled when there's no connection the phone goes bonkers trying to find a signal.
