i found a battery on ebay which is said to be a 2430mAh battery and looks like a regular format battery on the fotos. does anybody have any informations or expierences with such a battery? is it even possible to get such a high capacity in the standard battery format?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Gold-24...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item415fb49afc
for me fake
I have 2600mAh battery for htc leo and she is twice thicker than the ordinary, this from link is same as ordinary...sry on eng
mmmmm.... just read the last negative and neutral feedback, a lot of them battery related....
100% fake, these gold batteries are total ****e.
2400mAh battery on current Li-ion or polymer technology would have to be almost twice the size of standard cell.
Any newer technology high power dencity cell will be 8 times the price of that & for sure would not be available via CrimeBay first.
best standard size replacement cells are Andida & Tekcomm on performance/price scale.
The HTC, CS & Mugen oversized cells only just manage 2400mAh & quality grade product will be more than 12 bucks.

if i was you, I would just get one with an extended battery, not a slim one, dont use the cover and buy an soft silicone case for it
thats how i use mine and i have no complaints, i bought a extended battery and i use my slim as a back up, which i never really have to use
check this one out it on ebay cost 9 dollars it says its an 3500mah and they are in the U.S.A
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110772104151?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Well if you still end up buying it which i personally would suggest not to and you find its not what it says it is you can always
open a case against them for it not being as described. Make sure you test it with a good battery app from the market to see
whether your gettings the full mah that is advertised.
Even if it is real, you should know that you can't charge it directly. You have to take out the battery and charge it with a special charger.
OEM battery from HTC is $7 on Amazon.....i bought 2 and called it a day
I bought two and a wall charger as well i found on ebay for about $9 + free shipping (from China). I will admit i was a bit dissatisfied at
first because it said it was 1350mah and when i tested it it was only 1250mah. Still i have not had a single problem with them and have only
noticed it charges ever so slightly slower then the oem one. The fact i can have one on the base charging, one in the phone as well
as a backup to bring with me when/if it dies is a great convenience and definitely worth the $9 i spent.

for the money it is a good option.
I done same & bought an Andida & universal off-board charger. Got bored of changing batt & rebooting so went with a AA powered usb power-pack fitted with Hybrio rechargable & modified to support AC fast charge, works well & still have the Andida as extra emergency when on long travels or need cell fully charged but don't have time to charge it ...
Some of the low cost large size & capacity cells with new battery cover are good option if you don't mind the big lump in your slim device.
its even possible, but not for that price. dont trust em, buy originals.
The size is usually at least directly proportional to the energy in the same type of battery. It's not physically possible, not until 2020, when MgIon batteries could be produced. And you can bet those are gonna be hella expensive if it comes out. It's been tested that for most phone usually OEM batteries are more efficient at energy/$.
There's no battery on the market having this capacity at this size. It's not possible - maybe in a few years, but NOT now.
My cousin bought a gold battery for HTC chacha for 15$ 2540mah, same size as original 1250mah... no problems, can last 1week without problem,
don't know if he's lucky or what but when I see that I just want to buy one too

i got one of those for myself.. what a waste of money..
I've got one of these gold ones. Seems to last just the same as any other battery. Probably not genuine, but it's not any worse or any better than other ones. Don't know how to test the mah properly though.
Those batteries should be banned - they are counterfeit and lies about actual capacity. Whats more, they are very dangerous to use - have fun with self-combustible cell.

The fine print on the second one is exactly the same numbers as on my Andida battery.
Thanks guys... I don't understand why no manufacture can produce a slim extended battery. It would make the HD2 so kick ass
Is the Andida 1600mah battery actually thicker than the default battery? Seing some ebay photos it seems to me that they are the same size and there's no need for extended back cover for the 1600 batt. Anyone can confirm this?
Its not 1600 mAh. Maximum it has is 1300... Most users reported it to be of less capacity than standard one.

I have the 1600 mah battery and it is more powerful then the original u have to condition it first or you wont get the right amount of power after about 4 charges on it and then I had to charge the original 2 to 3 times a day but with this 1600 once a day and thats using wifi and other apps

Mmm, if you want to go with big capacity & extended cover try finding original HTC extended battery & cover on a promotional offer.
Almost all of these extended batteries from China are junk with data chip sending false battery MaH data & many close to stated capacity batteries don't allow HD2 to utilise it without soft reset.
personally I went for a USB charge pack working from 4AA batteries, I loaded 4 UniRoss 2100MaH hybrio AA cells & it works great.
size is 68mmX63mmX18mm so easily to slip in a pocket or bag.
I get 2.5 charges from it, have total control over cell quality & MaH rating & it cost me less than $13 including new AA hybrio cells.
Just another option to consider perhaps.
I know a good store that sell many extended batteries for HTC, But now i cant send the link , forum cant accept that. if you are interested, send me the message.
Just type link address without www or replace a w with an asterix. Users can figure it out easily enough & copy/paste then correct address in browser bar.

I have gotten good service out of the Andida batteries. They advertise 1600, but they are actually the same output as the OEM batteries. But they are inexpensive. Some people have reported very low output from them, but that has not been my experience. Just don't expect 1600!

Question
Has anyone tried using HTC Desire HD batteries for their HD2? I just ordered these HD2 batteries that are 1350 mAh on an eBay store located in Brooklyn. They are 2 for $8, I figured worth a chance for only 8 bucks, but I'm still thinking 1350mAh still won't be enough. The HTC Desire HD batteries are 1500 mAh and almost look like they'd fit, but I'm unsure. Right now I'm running my HD2 on the Desire Z ROM that is rooted, I think it's made by Dandiest and Freak. This ROM is seriously the best out of the 3 I've tried. With it being rooted I was able to download the battery calibrator on the market and it has increased my battery life significantly. I'm still on the standard 1230mAh battery and I charged it to 100% and unplugged it at 8:49 AM and it's now 8:28 PM(I'm in Germany) and it has 40% battery. This is just mild usage though. Any suggestions, or anyone know if the Desire HD batteries would fit and work?
Please Help
I would like to buy extended battery that is same size like an original so it wouldn't stick out...
I have read few threads about that and I know that there are few 1800mah batteries which are really just fake 1270 mah...
So...what is max capacity in original size?
Thanks
15000mah Mugen is only option for same size & real stated capacity.
reality is a different battery technology would be required to better that.
www.mugen-power-batteries.com/mugen-power-htc-hd2-t8585-1500mah-extended-replacement-battery.html
As above, there is little in the way of a regular sized battery with considerably more capacity than the stock battery. If you're looking to keep the slim look then I'd consider doing as I did and investing in either a cheap 2nd battery (either used genuine or cheap Chinese) off eBay for a couple of bucks. coupled with a battery charger which charges both the second battery and the phone, im yet to find a situation where im without power.
Sent from my HTC HD2 (Android)
my solution to lack of capacity was to use a usb charger pack running from 4 aa cells (2100mah hybrio cells) & mod pack to activate 1Amp charger mode.
cost less than $20 & is easier than swapping/booting & externally charging hd2 batteries.
I'm actually selling my barely used 1600mAh battery on eBay (link here). I used it for about 10 days before the touchscreen on my HD2 went bad. No added bulk and the battery life is about 30% better than the original battery. I bought it from a seller in Hongkong after reading a HD2 user's suggestion here. It's about 10USD if buying from China, delivery will be from 14-30 days.

And what capacity does T-Battery application show this battery at ? for sure not 1600Mah ...
Oops ... double post ...
There are two type of good batteries momax or mugen. (Even the fact that both companies have an own website says already a lot).
Muggen has higher capcity while momax uses better cells according to 6 pages of user experiences. Both will preform about the same like 20% capicity extra. I would go for the momax since it works better in android (capcity is close to orginal one) and it is a bit cheaper 21-27 usd according where you buy it.
Momax X batteries are produced in same factory as Andida.
The momax HD2 replacement battery gave me no extra usage time, if anything less.
It may give 20% extra capacity if compared to a 2 year old fatigued OEM cell but new next to new OEM wins hands down.
If you say so...
My experience is different anyway and from a lot of others to and I can't use any battery wich has higher capicity then the stock one because it wont work well in android.
Also andida battery come from:
http://www.laishenglong.com/en/
And I am almost sure that they are not made in the same factory andida battery's look more like fake clones.
But maybe you can show me some evidence.
That was what I was told by a dealer in Hong Kong when I purchased a Momax.
The reality is a battery with less Mah than stock is not going to be 20% better but they are ok & give reasonable performance & quality for the purchase price.
Andidas registered address is Hong Kong as is Momax but neither have factories in Hong Kong.
The Andida & Momax X batteries & packaging are identical from what I looked at in Hong Kong. The Momax HD2 battery is not the X series & is different in battery wrapping, labelling & packaging.
Is buying the battery on ebay smart?
Where should I buy it to know for sure I get the battery/capacity I want...
What capacity do you want & do you still want standard size ?
The only battery that I have seen that is really higher capacity & sized same as original was a Mugen, all others read standard Mah rating when tested with tbattery.exe.
The chances of getting a higher Mah standard size battery off eBay is probably zero. A work colleage purchased an Andida 1700Mah from eBay seller snow9white for a TD2 & real capacity is 1100Mah, but ok as at just under $10 inc shipping he was happy as performs as good as OEM & he already was aware of Andidas overstated capacity.
I've read something about better cells and no need for higher capacity...so I don't care about capacity really...all I need is more time between charging it...
But I don't want to buy something on ebay, if I am not sure that it will be better as the one I have now...
The only thing I want is battery in original size that doesn't sticks out or need extra battery cover...
More time = capacity. quality of cell will have some link to overall run time but the main issue is capacity.

Yeah but I am not talking about the stock momax battery I believe you if you say it preforms the same as stock..
I am talking about the 1250 mah x-level variant.
Before you have only the stock variant since like 2 months there is the x-level variant for like 21-27 dollar.
http://www.momax.net/en/Product_Show.aspx?ID=1303&T=1
Yeh I bought mine about 3 months ago & is not x-level model cell, no HD2 x-level at that time for HD2, will have a look for the x-level HD2 in Hong Kong & if sensible HK$ buy one for a test.
Ok which one is better? The Momax X-Level or Mugen Power?
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...585-1500mah-extended-replacement-battery.html
http://shop.momax.net/?sp=&p=6&cat2=635&cat1=113&cat0=46&id=3396&cat1=113&cat0=46&new=&more=&lang=en
Is the Mugen worth almost double the price?
Mugen should be the best in terms by capacity & quality but with the price diference between the two it makes the x-level a major player.
I will be going for an x-level as price direct here in hong kong is just too good, don't really need one but want to test it and see if they are as good as current hype.
Ok guys, I just got the X-level battery today, I'm charging it right now and post later on how well it is.

Good find, but I am quite sure it wouldnt give actual 2300mAh. But still, for that price I wonder how much improvement it actually has over stock. I remember the 1600 mAh at best gave about 1400 mAh or there abouts. I would not mind if this gives even slightly more than 50% of the stated capacity. Please let us know if anyone has tested this.
Hell, I'm getting paid in 2 days, and sending my HD2 to repair then, when I get it back, I will buy this battery and review it for you guys.

Define good
My battery lasts me about 8-12 hours of moderate use, and 4-6 of heavy use/no service use
I would call that good for what my phone can do, but of course I'd like better

What that probably means is this battery has a very poor charge control circuit/temp sensor.
For cheap good batteries try the well tested brands: Andida & Momax .
Andida & Momax represent good quality for the money. I have used Andida & they have been as good as original. Just purchased a Momax for HD2 while in Hong Kong as read good remarks in posts here at XDA ... Buying cheap unknown junk from ebay with obvious overstated product details is just stupid, do not support these idiots by buying there useless low quality junk that they call products.
The feedback from crimebay mugs:

hi there, well i m looking for a better battery, mine s getting low quickly.
i just bought this one on ebay after reading this post. I ll give you my opinion at reception
hope it will be fine...
Heres a Momax on eBay with world shipping included:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Momax-X-L...835895?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20bbed2af7
I purchased a momax in HK to test, in my opinion the X-level performs same as my HD2 Andida ... Bonus with Momax is they do not Bull**** on capacity & you can feel confident cell quality & charge protection circuitry is adequate too.
Andida was the best cheap budget battery & well tested within XDA community.
I purchased Andida direct in HK for around $7 US & they are working fine.
A colleage purchased an Andida for his old Topaz via ebay seller snow9white. Total price with shipping was $9.45 US & he has been very happy with the battery over the last 6 months of use ...
Will try to check it out next week!
I receive mine

Third, surprise she work, and more than a quarter...
So i'll put her in my phone a 4PM and it's work fine for now...

Sorry formy bad English
New batteries tend to have better standby time, even the one has less capacity.
So try draining your battery by watching YouTube or some intensive gaming, it should tell the difference.

Better yet, drain it by let running Netflix for a whole movie and that should kill it fast enough.
So is there such a thing as a larger mah cell at the standard thickness at any price or are they all the same?
FYI, I bought this battery (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extended-30...Accessories&hash=item3a65fb4a24#ht_1885wt_952) which claims to be a 3000mAh.
I have used it for a while (2 weeks), and have to say that I am quite pleased with it. With 3g, wifi and auto-brightness on, I managed to get 32 hours of usage. This includes talking on the phone for 2 hours+, browsing on net 2 hours and 30 minutes of listening to music. I think it is more like 2000mAh. Certainly much longer than the original.
I am using Dorimanx's ROM, OC and UV, screebl and juice defender beta. Hope this helps others to make an informed purchase. Got his for less than USD10 including shipping. My best deal yet.

Almost all are the same at standard size.
Li-ion technology can not physically pack much more capacity into a cell of the HD2 size.
Mugen produced a standard sized cell at around 1500Mah & that was the best they could manage using quality cells & construction.
Claims of 1600, 1700 or even 2000+Mah of the magical Gold Business batteries are simply bull**** & fraudulent in an attempt to rob you of some cash for rubbish goods.
Best options for budget is Andida & Momax x-level, x-level may give about 5% more, Andida is about same as new original. Mugen may be an option if you don't mind paying high prices, around $39 US if still available.
Feipusi is another brand seen around Asia Pacific area, they rate at 1600Mah for standard size HD2 replacement but reality is standard Mah but quality is ok for less than $10 battery.
If you need double capacity you will need a cell almost double in size too, that's the reality so don't be fooled by these sellers marketing tactics.
There's one available from Lenmar having 1230mAh capacity for HD2 available for about $20...
I think it should be good as Lenmar is a good company

Open that battery and you will find in there a 1,200mah battery and some foam to fill the empty space inside the big housing. I seen this before with cell phone batteries and even Sony PSP batteries sold on Ebay.
It's a shame those Chinese guys manufacture fake and less than advertised charging capacity.
BTW- I have that battery and the charge is not that great, gave it to my 13yrs son so he can play with this HD2.
Hi all,
I would like to buy a same size as ori battery with highest capacity available in the market now..
Anyone know where could I get it? What is the battery capacity? And lastly what is the price range? Thanks ya.. I'm searching for it as i donwan to charge my phone twice a day.. quite irritating..

there are a few ebay sellers who sell the genuine htc battery. just search for "genuine htc ba s520" on ebay. most are based in uk. all around 15 - 20 gbp.
you will find several chinese aftermarket batteries claiming higher capacity than the 1450mah of the genuine battery, but beware. none of them (i've tested a few) actually last longer than the htc battery, in my experience. and i don't know if the quality can be trusted. they do cost a lot less than the genuine battery so it is a cheaper option.
u can try dc mugen
I want higher capacity battery so that my phone last longer between charging.. not HTC ori battery with same capacity.. thanks ya..

If it would be possible to put more capacity in the same size battery HTC would have done that from the start, you're only option is to get one of those fat 3500mah batteries from ebay with a thicker battery cover, i'm thinking of getting one of those, unfortunatly i can't put a silicon case around the phone then ...
is anyone aware which is better battery among the custom makers ?
Will be great if that is available in India .
4000mAh Battery
Just bought one of those chinese 4000 mAh batteries on ebay.
The [email protected]#$%^ thing won't let me switch on mobile network (3G) ?????????!!
Real Handy.......wifi, bluetooth, gps all fine.
It may be an HTC issue, like Windows, doesn't like hardware changes, it may be the rear case, who knows?
It's a thumping big thing, twice the size, but I only get about another half a day.....Whooopeee.
Thankfully it was only about five bucks.
Anyone have a similar issue ?

SEIDIO SUPER EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY FOR HTC INCREDIBLE S
extended battery/door
Thanks mate, I'll take a look.
I've been using the previously mentioned Mugen 3700 mA extended battery (larger, yes, but I'm used to it already) for 2.5 weeks now.
I've completed calibrating and conditioning the battery thru the 5 discharge cycles as instructed, followed by some of the lore I've sifted from xda. It's been useful.
I used to charge in morning and had to be careful not to use my phone too much and need to charge again in one day if I used it a fair amount. My incS was used, so stock battery probably had wear.
Now I get two full days of moderate-somewhat heavy use, and very far into the 3rd day if I use it just for (many) texts and a few short calls and it sleeps half the time or more.
E.g., charged before bed, sat unplugged during sleep, heavy use today (gps for 30+ min, browsing, texts) and 71% capacity as of now.

Good try! how much it cost?
That's meant so far no identical battery with longer battery life (i.e. last 1 whole day for moderate to heavy use)? sigh...

Stick to genuine HTC batteries. Most of the Ebay fakes are far lower quality and often are mislabeled (especially if it claims higher capacity in the same form factor).
Your phone should last at least 24 hours on one charge though (unless you're using it very heavily). Try changing your habits a bit (turning off data/wifi when not using it) and also maybe try a battery calibration. If you do a battery calibration make sure you read a few guides on google and do it properly otherwise you will most likely be worse off.
Some aftermarket hi capacity battery need a special battery cover which makes it very ugly
I bought the 3500 mAh battery with fat back cover (from Ebay). Its a chinese ****s production... We know that on our IncS the antenna is placed inside of back cover. This chinese cover has some antenna as well, but the signal is much worse. For example with original cover I get like 4 full bars. With chinese ****s cover I get only 2-3 bars.
Im already having troubles with the signal in some places, but with this cover it will be even worse.. So I stay with my original HTC back cover. Dunno what to do with this 3500 battery..
why don't you buy another stock battery ?
i think stock one is gd enough.
I think that MUGEN 3600mAh is optimal high-capacity battery on the market. Its stable and reliable...

Has any1 tried using Seidio batteries for Incredible S?
Apparently, they claim to use Lithium Polymer technology as opposed to Lithium-ion.
Wikipedia says Polymer is superior to ion but also more expensive.
Only mobile manufacturer known to supply phones with Lithium Polymer batteries is Sony Ericsson.
Seido 3500mAH battery for HTC Incredible S is on eBay for $69. It says its assembled in Taiwan? Its also not as FAT as Mugen's but still needs a back door, which is included. They also have a website.
Mugen might have a new, superior competitor.

I just bought one from Ebay, it should probably land here on wednesday.
After i get it, calibrate it and get into it i'll let you guys know if its worth its money.
hey guyz
i bought this battery from ebay with 2600 mah
is it fake???
and if it isn't how could i calibrate it (am using android from nand)
sorry for my bad english
Well chances of it being 2600mAh are unlikely, if lucky it maybe 1700mAh.
Also kernal of your ROM need to be capable of handling over capacity batteries, for that refer to your ROM thread.

ahaaa. ic
thanx buddy for ur quick responding
i should buy 2300 original......
I have the extended battery just like this. It claims to be 2300mah and after a few cycles my battery widget says its estimated to be 2300mah (with 30% margin of error).
All extended sized batteries I've tested have shown to be over 2000+ mah and have given me more than double standby time.
If the battery is standard sized and claims over 1600mah then suspect BS.
Most of the cheaper oversized batteries tested by members on XDA came out at 1700mAh.
Peeling the sticker will lead to the truth.
Is a thread on this with a selection of oversized batteries & the true capacities.
Well I have owned 5 extended batterys in my time.
2 for HD2
2 for WildfireS
1 for Dash
All of them costed below £10.
All of them had seen my phone pass 30hrs.
My typical standby with normal batteries is around 11hrs.
My WildfireS extended bat topic.

Going from OP supplied picture of of black/silver label style found on eBay & amazon most are tested well below claimed mAh
I have tested many myself & delt with resources in China that make them.
From 11hrs to past 30hrs is 3X over standard, that would equate to 3000mAh plus, no chance of 3000mAh cell & cover for £10.
You get what you pay for & when it's Chinese products & eBay/Amazon getting what you pay for is a gamble with poor odds.
so how could i calibrate it??????????

You have to account for night time which is about 8 hours of no activity meaning little drain.
Thats fake around 1700Mah i guess
