Network problems - LG Optimus 2x

First, hello
Since a few days, I encountered big network problems with my phone:
I can't call or receive a call, and I can't send or receive SMS anymore. It's very hazardous, but most of the time it doesn't work. My network connection is often unavailable: most of the time it disconnects when i try to use the network and reconnects seconds later, sometimes without improvements.
I was running the Temasek's Kang with the ETANA kernet when this problem appeared. I tried to reboot, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache, update CM7 and the Kernel. I tried to do a wipe data/factory reset and install the last updates, without success. :S
So I tried NVflash... I install the V10B version, and my phone seems to works better. But not perfectly at all. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I tried to install the last BB (824), nothing better. I tried with the 218, the problem persists.
It's very annoying, I miss all the call I receive: my phone doesn't ring and my correspondent goes directly to the "voicemail" (I don't know how do you call that ^^)
I don't know what to do, and where the problem could be.
If you got any idea, please share
Thanks!

[Q] SGS issue force close on receive call

Hello
I just installed Darky's 5.2 ROM over my stock 2.1-update1 and everything works fine, but whenever I receive a call something (dialer?) gets a force close and the call is rejected together with a temp. loss of signal.
Then everything is back to normal...
Any steps I'd take? I'm pretty new to this.
have the exact same problem... can dial out no problem but only receiving calls. so thinking about whether I should flash another rom until this is fixed.....
I was wondering could I just do a factory reset and then flash the rom over again? Do I have to disable the voodo lagfix before? Not too sure how this works heh.
I don't have this problem. But whenever i am in the game "flick kick football," I get some random hangs, and is forced to close. I suspect that happens when I get incoming calls. Anyway to confirm this?

I have the same problem. I recived a call, something force closed, the signal dropped and i lost the operator. I had similar problems with bluetooth and file manager before on this ROM, but I re-flashed it and everything worked again.
no problem here with Darky's 5.2 ROM and the Clean Guide Instruction, i just received a call without any problems
I used the easy guide and did not clean anything or do a factory reset, I just followed it like a dumbo. I came from 2.1-update1 stock JM5 kernel with a ton of apps installed, if that helps.
hey I think I found a solution to this. I went to recovery mode, wiped cache, wiped dalvik, did a factory reset and voila, receiving calls works without force closing.
phew.. was about to download another rom. anyhow, hope that works for you Jule!
still a few problems with the ROM that i encountered:
- my AT&T home button is not working.... not to sure whether there will ever be a fix for it
- media volume, even set to max, is not working when playing movies and youtube.

[Q] Can't answer calls with GingerDX V19

Hi everybody!
I'm facing a big problem with GingerDX V19. For some reason, after a time of use (a day, a week...) I can't receive calls.
The phone rings and vibrate, but the screen is black. After some seconds, I receive a force close from com.android.phone. Then, the signal is lost (a small red 'x' appears on the status signal), and some seconds after I get signal again.
The persons who call me listen a one call sound, the the call drops. I can't see who is calling me, and the call log don't register anything!
It happens from nothing. The first time I install GingerDX, take 2 days. So, I upgraded again, but with LinuxDX kernel. Some days after, the problem appears again. About 5 days without problems, but yesterday the problem re-appear. So, I decided to unlock the bootloader, and try GDX with Alfs5 kernel.
I flashed yesterday, about 15pm. Today, about 13pm, the problem appears again!! I can't understand!!!
The only way to solve this is re-installing GDX with full wipe, but I have to re-install and re-configure ALL my programs. I read a lot of posts on GDX thread, but nothing solve my problem until now... "Force touch UI", disable "call me louder" or "looping ringtone", change the in-call screen... Nothing...
BTW, I CAN MAKE calls, send and receive SMS... But not RECEIVE calls!!
Any ideas?? I love that ROM, but I can't have life with this problem!!!
Thanks in advice!
try new [ROM] GingerDX | v021 | 05-12-2011 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486
hit thanks
I have upgraded to V21, but the problem persists...
This time, I'm using LinuxDX kernel instead Alfs5.
Any ideas??
full wipe~~
Already tried.
When I upgrade, I do a full-wipe, clean cache, format data / cache / system partitions, as well clear dalvik cache.
More suggestions?
Found one reason: the "Call Me Louder" option on Cyanogen Configs.
If I turn it on, problem happens. If it is off, I can answer calls.
I can't post on dev section for X8 yet, can anyone report this to Doixanh on GingerDX thread??
Tonight I'll verify if another setting will be problem.
Thanks!
If you want to full wipe, just make a backup of all your apps using titanium backup. Not sure if the feature exists in free version, but hey! You can give it a try

No phone calls after Superuser update.

Hi,
Today I updated Superuser to v3.0-beta 3 (33) binary v3.0.3.2 and now I'm not able to make phone calls and when reboot or turn off phone, it frezzes (semi-black screen) and I need to remove battery.
I was on Market looking for some apps, when suddenly the phone started to be slow, then I got Superuser fail message and it offered me to updated, which I did. Everything went smootly, no error messages. After some hours I tried to make calls and found I'm almost not able. I say almost because for some numbers, after 20 or more seconds, the phone makes connection and releases the call. I tried also with 3G and Edge.
However, after all this I'm still able to receive calls and send sms.
This is my info:
Android 2.2.2
Kernel 2.6.32
SW Nova v7
What should I do? I'm hesitate to wipe out because I'm not sure if it will help, as SU does not modify when wipe out.
However, if flash is needed, it is ok. I don't have so much apps or info.
I appreciate your help.
Thank you.
Try a different card (SIM i mean)
If it's not working either, then do factory reset
AFAIK, factory reset in setting->privacy is more powerfull than wipe in CWM
CMIIW
Sent from derp-mobile
try to fix permissions too. Either via ROM Manager or CWM.

[Q] Zeus 7.06 android.phone FC

Sorry but i can't post in development.
I had Zeus 6.37 installed in my OB but was eagerly awaiting for a ICS or JB ROM.
So I tried CM10. Everything worked fine except for the known issues (video recording and the lack of GPS). These issue made me go back to Zeus since I want a fully functional phone.
I decided to update to Zeus version 7.06. Did full wipe before Rom installation. Then just recovered sms with "SMS backup & Restore".
I found a some problems:
1. Sometimes when I make a call the process "android.phone" closes the phone loses signal and only after a while I can repeat the call.
2. Sometimes the SMS app (Go SMS) shows no texts. But after I close the app or reboot the phone the messages show again.
Usually these problems appear simultaneously. I reinstalled the ROM but the problem is still there!
Does someone have an explanation? And what can be done to solve these problems.
I wish I never changed from Zeus 6.37 :crying:

Weird problems with new Roms

Since I bought the One I'm running Sense Roms (at the moment it's Android Revolution HD). For the last few days I have been trying to flash ParanoidRom and CM11 Nightlies but with both of them I encounter weird problems.
1. Both roms seem to break DHCP for me. I can connect to any Wifi but I don't get an IP. If I set the IP manually everything works fine. I already deleted the files in /data/misc/dhcp a few times but still no change.
2. With both roms I have freezes when waking the phone up from sleep. Most of the time it works, but 5-10 times a day the softkeys light up but the phone freezes when I try to wake it up from sleep. The problem exists with stock and with custom kernels.
Before flashing I wipe Data/Factory Reset, Dalvik and Cache. Last time I even wiped /system, just to try if it makes a difference.
Restoring my old rom fixes all the problems.
Is there anything I did wrong? I have no idea what else to do now
