I was looking at the new Samsung Galaxy S (codename Vibrant) and it has a few pretty nice feature what are kinda basic and easily portable for an expert modder (I'm not that kind in Android).
So I have to ask, is it possible to have these features on our beloved G1?
Features:
- Night stand mode (clock screen with some nice info, lowered backlight)
- Control panel on the status screen (the stuff you roll down with the top bar). In Galaxy S firmware, there is a nice control panel (widget-like) what contains buttons to switch BT, Wlan, vibration and mute on/off
- The new TouchWiz Launcher (I think I already found the apk and odex files for that)
- Some widgets (got them all)
- The live wallpapers (found them too)
So my question is still the same: is it possible to get the first two (or all) options installed on our G1?

It may, but my goal is to get all the stuff from Galaxy S, and not from 3rd party apps I hope you understand me!
Hey guys...Another Noob question here...So I have searched the forums and so far really couldnt find what i was looking for (maybe i missed something or didnt look hard enough ) But i am curious if someone has made a transparent notification bar for the CM7 RC that is flashable through Clockwork? Also I am curious if there is a way to make the Beautiful Widgets weather display Vertical instead of horizontal? Maybe you can with Launcher Pro Plus?? Hi all. I'm a long time lurker on the site and think I've learned a lot from everyone here but this time I really need some help.
I am working on a scrolling wallpaper theme based on a wood background using launcherpro plus. I really want to use a search widget like the one from the Eyefold ADW theme (see picture) and think I have all of the drawables from the apk but for the life of me I can't ninjamorph it or modify the quicksearch apk to get it to display properly.
I'm sure this is probably easy for a lot of people here so if anyone could give me any pointers or they're kind enough to do it for me so I can open it up and see what I was doing wrong it it would be really appreciated.
Relative newbie here - looking for help/tutorial on how you guys get such a clean looking lockscreen. Am struggling to configure properly.
Am after something really simple without the standard sliders etc..
Want to run widgetoids 2, sms unread & a simple clock/day/charge status display and that's it.

Running stock 3.2 Wifi Xoom
Works very well, excellent app!
Only issues I had was it didn't appear under widgets until I rebooted the device.
Only request would be to allow a smaller resize say only 2 or 3 lines
Strange about not appearing till reboot - what rom are you on?
Also, do you mean a 1xN widget?

Yes 1xN would be great!
I'm just running standard 3.2 (not rooted, and no custom kernel)
Ive looked into the widget not appearing in the picker after install - its a problem with the picker itself. Its broken on the tiamat roms (which are pretty unstable despite all the huffing and puffing).
Re widget sizes. Im updating in a few hours with 1x1 (on HC things can only be stretched, not shrunk) and 2x4.

Are you saying you are on a stock rom and still having issues with the widget picker? Or that youre only having issues with our app?

I'm on stock ROM and the widget only appeared after a reboot of the device. Other than that it works great. Thought you'd want to know.
No idea if it not showing is an Honeycomb issue or something in your app.
