these fully charge the streak once, they are 2000mah imo better than purchasing batteries because firstly, you don't switch the phone off, and secondly, can be used on your next device.
no meshing about with battery stats or anything
only downside, you gotta carry your usb cable

i have actually used on of these on my streak very pleasant, it does charge quicker than ye olde USB 1.1 just not as fast as USB 2.0 very nice !

It doesn't charge as quick as if your device were plugged into a wall socket charger.

It is good to have a recommendation. In my experience the Streak can be a bit finicky with some of these chargers.
I use this one and find it to be excellent

Anyone running 2 batteries and wanting to charge them outside the Streak might want to look at one of these by Solar Technology International.
It's called a Camcaddy

Maplins sell them as part of a Freeloader Pro solar charger package.
How much mate?

Can you post a pic without the battery, mainly to see the pins if they are moveable, and also where does it plug into? USB? or goes straight to mains?
thanks
I have the Freeloader pro2 package with the cam caddy, niether charges my streak, I was gutted when I got my streak. Had been usind the charger for my camera battery & touch hd while out on treks but the streak won't take charge from it and the battery can't be charged from the cam caddy, neither can my sony nex5 camera battery, another £100's worth of beaut kit rendered useless!

I seem to remember the Freeloader Pro kit is about £60 with the Camcaddy. Don't bother with the normal Freeloader, it won't charge the Streak.
The pins slide and can charge many things. I use it with the official Dell charger and it gets the battery up to about 95% - for some reason it stops just short of 100%. It can also charge from the Freeloader but I only get about 60% from a full charge.
The Freeloader PRO needs a modification to charge the streak - if you feel confident, open it up, and then solder together the centre two pins on the USB socket, otherwise the Streak won't see it as a charger (this mod is required in general with all USB chargers)
I recently got a Lenmar USB clip - this also works with the Freeloader and is awesome and tiny!
I got one of these and it works pretty well.
After reading the problems some have with charging the Note II in the car, all I could think was "unlucky sons of *****es".

Delivery:
1. Worldwide - FREE (15-25 working days) - I received it in 14 (Italy), it was sent as a gift so I didn't have to pay customs related taxes (or any other kind).
2. Worldwide - €2.14 Hongkong Post (7-15 working days)
Does it work?
1. STOCK CHARGER - http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/12/01/yjeryruq.jpg
65% -> 83% - 25 minutes
2. THIS CAR CHARGER
65% -> 83% - 26 minutes (I turned the screen on a couple of times and talked on the phone for under 2 minutes)
- current_avg displays 1600
- I used the stock cable - the rest of them can't use more than 1,05A (stock desire, stock SIII, and a few other charge specific usb ones)
Feel and quality:
Like it is "made in Germany". China is upping it's game (for a while now).

Congrats and I believe you now that it only works well with the heavy duty stock charging cable. I believe now that cable makes a big difference. I am testing a few "charge only" cable with various chargers, car and AC chargers. Results varies and choice of cable is a big factor.

Sorry..off topic..
where did you get those icons?
Which USB cable did you use? a regular one, or one that has the 2nd and 3rd pins/wires shorted?
Car charger with long cable
Does anyone know if there is a car charger out there for the Galaxy Note 2 that is extra long, (around 10")?

Full disclosure, I was provided this product at a discount cost for a fair and unbiased review. With a Nexus 5x and 6p and a slew of microUSB devices still around the house there is often not enough chargers in the right place. Choetech's 55W 6-Port USB Charging Station took care of this, and now serves as our main hub with a plug for everything. It has 2 USB C ports, both capable of delivering a full 5v/3a simultaneously, which is something Google's dual port USB C charger cannot do. It also has 4 USB A ports, rated at 5v/2.4a each. For those good at math that means you can have any combination of 4 devices plugged in and charging at full speed. Yes, anything beyond that and the charging speeds will begin to dip, but in all likelihood the USB A/microUSB devices will not be pulling the full 12W of power (most non-smartphone/tablets will pull 5v/1-1.5a) which means that you may be able to charge more than 4 at a time full speed. Even still, to have 4 phones or tablets getting full speed charging is quite impressive from such a small device.
The build quality is very good on this product. It is mostly coated in a nice coat of soft touch paint, and it was smaller than I expected. The inclusion of a USB C cable is a nice touch as well, and the fact that it has a removable stand gives it more placement options. The only downside to this is that it does not offer Quick Charge to any of the USB A ports, but as I don't personally own any QC devices anymore this isn't a big deal. Overall this is a very good device that will find a permanent home as our main charging hub.
TL;DR: This is exactly the product I was looking for, but didn't know I needed and I would pay full price for it if I had to.

As days ago XDA reviewed this desktop charger, now, after 2 weeks of usage come my review ^^.
As many has alredy seen it’s different from others desktop charger, because it has 2 usb C port and 4 normal usb A port.
It comes with : a vertical stand, power cord, usb c to usb c cable and instructions.
On my dropbox folder you can see many hi-res photos of the charger.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rp42jx3q9a5h294/AAB_gE7OpoZriNvPbRrKxyK6a?dl=0
Despite my previous desktop charger it has a rubber feeling with a weak blue led.
In 2 weeks of usage the performance were good: it always charged at full speed and mainted always > 5V.
The maximum test performed it the following:
- Nexus 5x (2.2 A )
- Nexus 7 2013 (1.15 A ) ( doesn’t have fast charge )
- Power bank (1.3A )
- action cam battery charger ( 0.5 A )

As you can see on the power meter the results are remarkable: on near 26W it keeped ALWAYS 5.06V, even on another test ( with no photo ) with the same setup plus a SG6.
As already said the nexus 5x has some strange behaviour with fast charing when not using usb c port, as “fast charging” is not triggered but however it draws about 1.8 A instead 2.2A: you don’t the the “fast charging” tip but however you get almost the same charging time…
It is an expected behavious as 5X and 6P doesn’t ufficially support quick charge 2.0, so choetech must have something magic on usb c ports.
TL.DR. version: performs well, solid rock, fast charge anything, I'm happy
So I would LOVE a windshield/vent powered mount...
but for now I got my note 8 and started using it. I found out that my old DC chargers, most, do not work keeping my phone charged so thought I would post here...
would love to add your's to this thread....
Works:
@TeleFragger - Dual port (2.1A/1A) round knockoff from conference (no-name)
@pyraxiate - MarsTech MTQC3-3P 3 Port In Car Charger with Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charge 3.0 on All 3 Ports, Fastest Charging Technology
Do not work:
Anker 48W 4-Port USB Car Charger - Exclusive PowerIQ Technology: Detects your device to deliver its fastest possible charge speed up to 2.4 amps per port or 9.6 amps overall.(Does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge).
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-4-Port...9552&sr=1-2&keywords=anker+4+port+car+charger
round single port 1A knockoff from a conference (no-name)
Here's what I have and it works great as I have 3 devices that can pull the 19v quick charge provides ( s7 for work, note 8, and my Dell venue 11 pro).
All 3 ports are QC 3.0 and it doesn't get hot with all 3 charging.
Edit :
Forgot to mention the phones DO say fast charging when plugged in. The charger works great and I use the hotspot along with navigation ( screen max brightness) and it definitely has no issues charging it up with it all running.
