So my father's Galaxy Tab which is rooted and has CWM recovery keeps getting pop-ups complaining that the internal memory is full and there's a constant message about it in the status bar. I think it's a system app complaining. Started after rooting and installing CWM instantly after so I'm not sure what caused it.
Any ideas? Couldn't find anything about it in the issue thread.
It can be that maybe a program or addon is written wrongly and consuming too much memory. Try to install several analyzer applications and check what is consuming and how much memory.
Try to trace back when this problem first happened... After updating which program? CWM or other?
Maybe temporarily try to uninstall CWM and see if pop up messages still appears. If not you know that CWM causing it.
I have a similar problem, and i discover the trouble maker is yahoo mess apk. I unistaled and reinstaled from the market and the problem was solved for me.

Anyone having issues with the app Lookout? I keep getting "lookout failed to initialize." It appears to not be able to log in. I tried several times and even attempted to make a new account, but the app does not appear to be running. I can login fine from the web.
It was working fine until I updated the app and upgraded to CyanogenMod v5.0.5.0 & v5.0.5.1, however I am unable to do a nand restore to an older version, as when I did it seems to be corrupted. I'm trying to pinpoint where/what the issue could be and if I'm not the only one.
Same here.
CyanogenMod 5.0.5.3 Nexus One
App2SD enabled with ext4
You'll have to deactivate App2SD prior Lookout Installation.
Lookout need to run on the internal memory for some reason.
Reinstall without this option and it should work fine.
Thanks everyone for uncovering this issue. We'll be sure to add that to our FAQ.
How important is being able to install to SD Cards to you?
I'm having a serious problem. I'm using enom 2.92 froyo. But no matter what rom I flash now I can't install apps. When using the market, apps download but hang when installing and never finish. Same thing when using latest titanium backup. All the apps installed on my sd card wont showup anymore either. I use launcher pro and used to be able to force stop and get my apps to show. Now all apps in the manager in settings constantly say computing. I've tried cm6, stock, enom, etc. No luck. I always do full whipes too. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks.
Wrong section. This should be moved to apps.

Go here and read the last 5 posts. One of those will fix the problem.
It could be related to the froyo a2sd.
Try deleting the app dir on your sd card. It is called something like .private-app or .data-private etc..
So, I tried installing the patched version of Skype posted here so that I could have video calling on my Galaxy S. I installed the original Skype and got to installing the patched version. During the installation it said that there was no space available. Fairly confident I had enough space I decided to remove a few unnecessary apps anyway, but the problem persisted. I decided that it was a lost cause and reverted to the original Skype. However this is deciding not to install now, giving the same error that there is insufficient space available.
I've tried wiping the cache from recovery mode but I'm not sure what else I should try.
Other apps are installing fine by the way.
Uninstall and wipe all Skype data using titanium backup then reinstall

Is there a way of doing this without rooting?
Stock skype pretty much takes over your phone when installed so removing all pieces of a hacked skype requires titanium backup with root previliges.
Install gtalk (video working) if you have root privileges, skype has become bloatware so uninstalled.

See if you can find the package name "com.skype.raider" listed in Settings > Applications > Manage Apps. > All
If that is true, wipe all data and uninstall. Then try re-installing Skype again.

Click to collapse
tried that
Only solution was to flash .230 again. time consuming but Problem solved!
force stop play store then clear data, run play store again and see if you get the error message again.
if the problem exist go to settings>apps>all find Media Storage, force stop and clear data.then reboot the phone after the phone started up wait for 3,4 minutes for the database to collect the information.
i had a similar problem and this fixed the problem.after clearing the Media Storage the default alarm sound for clock may change.you can fix that by using ES FileExplorer.make a backup of media storage and settings, settings storage in titanium backup just in case.
Hi there guys!
I have the following stupid problem that is described below.
The problem is about mistakenly uninstalled system app trying to clean up the device from useless apps. This happened on an rooted SGS I9000, Gingerbread 2.3.6 XJW4 (or XJW6 do not remember exactly the build).
So the uninstalled app were maybe the google framework gsm or google services framework application or something else. And after uninstallation my profile for gmail dissapeared, in general from the phone also. But I could still restart the device and it was running without any issues, just no profiles.
After all, I tried to reinstall the missing app using several versions for com.google.android.gms, downloaded from the internet, but after installing it, the device started throwing errors and stop working crashes. I also tried to add the profile to the gmail and it was successful, but no messages were loading at all... Then I restarted the phone... and everything ended here.
The phone started looping the boot screen with the logo, reboot after reboot and nothing happened. I do not have any backups. The device is rooted and I have installed clockworkmod 3.0.0.5. I also tried to make a backup using clockworkmod, but the internal sd card was almost full. The backup finished successfully according to the clockworkmod app, but I don't trust it at all, because the internalSD almost full with only a few MBs free.
I have an external SDcard but it is not visible from the clockworkmod console and I can not create the backup on it...
How to fix the device without wipe/data loss? Can I repair only the system somehow?
If I use Odin to flash without repartition, will the flash wipe the memos, calendar, phone records?
Can I browse/move/delete/extract data from the internalSD and run another backup?
Please help!
Many thanks!
Sorry bRo the only solution for your phone is flashing new rom with Odin and you will lose some data
