OK first, I am running the ICS4Bionic rom with it on my SAFEMODE and the stock rom on my Unsafe mode. Earlier tonight I had to deposit a check I received so I needed to use the camera to take a picture of the check.
I switched between roms no problem, as the safestrap is really handy in that regard, however now my light up buttons at the bottom stay on no matter what in my ICS rom. Its a pain in the butt and i'm not sure how to turn it off, or get it to turn off only when the screen is off or what have you.
I'm thinking about resetting but I've got it to a point where I really like it and would like to avoid it if possible... help..

I installed firerats mod and installed soap 4/29 w darkhorse. Everything worked great after doing the market fix, but after running fix permissions via TE and rebooting, my home button quit working... is there any way to fix this without starting all over?

hey folks,
today, i changed the sim card of my galaxy to see if my new contract already has service. it did. but that is not the story. i changed the sim card back an booted the phone. unfortunately, i wrongfully plugged the sim in so that i had to turn it around. unpatiently, i removed the battery while android was already booted but the widgets and stuff weren't loaded yet. then turned the sim card, plugged the battery back in and now the phone doesn't start anymore. first i'm seeing the galaxy s gt-i9000logo. after that follows galaxy s and underneath cyanogenmod in letters. but the fancy animation of cyanogen doesn't start.
i am able to get into download mode but not into recovery (cwm). i'm on cyanogen mod 9 build 17 of teamhacksung (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363593).
any clues what happend to my phone and how to make it work like a charm again?
thanks!
First try cleaning cache and dalvik from recovery and boot else clear cache/dalvik and then re-install rom again.
how can i clean the cash and dalvik if i can't get to cwm?
If you have titanium back installed then there is an option to clear it from its menu.
well, i have titanium backup installed on my phone but how can i access it?? maybe you could give me a short guide?
I've had this a couple times, try holding down 3 button combo while you are charging the phone. If you manage to get into recovery i highly doubt clearing cache etc will help. If you're able to get into cwm you'll prob have to reflash rom otherwise use Odin :/..

In eclipse, try turning on Airplane mode for a few seconds and then turning it back off. Otherwise, check and make sure that it is set to the right network mode.
Thanks, I'll flash the rom tonight and we'll see.

I started with IZS yesterday and noticed that the camera app stopped working. I wiped from recovery and reflashed the ROM with the same result. I tried reflashing Nemesis X back but the camera app stopped working there as well.
I even attempted wiping and going back to stock ICS, GB, Zeus 7 and in any of these ROMs the camera app stopped working. Sometimes the screen goes black, or the app simply crashes. In other times the app displays the controls but no image preview is shown and controls do not work.
I am out of ideas on what to do. I would really appreciate some help in the matter. I managed to take a logcat from this situation for further assistance.
In cwm, go to advanced>wipe/system.
Then do normal wipes (data, cache, dalvik), install any rom. Should work. Try it.

That's exactly what I have tried for every other ROM I tried. No matter which ROM I flash (after all the wipes) the camera app will not work. It started failing since yesterday.
Hardware problem maybe?
May be camera socket disbalance due to drooping d fone i to haved same issue month back solved from service centre:thumbup:

Tried it already when reinstalling IZS, to no avail. I am afraid it is a hardware problem, and to make matters worse, the IMEI was changed when reflashing (probably when I checked erase all CP on SmartFlash) and now the phone has no service.
Update: The IMEI issue has been solved, but I would need to send the phone to a service center, anyway. The camera seems to be working ATM, but fails from time to time.
Issue: Phone suddenly shuts down, when trying to boot it, it just keeps restarting when hitting the bootanimation.
I use the phone less than 30 mins and suddenly it just shuts down and I have to do a full wipe for it to work again. Even after full wipe, it works perfectly fine for max 1 hour of use, then it shuts down and new wipe is required.
What I have tried:
Flashing PA, CM10.2, flashing full stock ICS V30A.kdz, repartion with AIO-Toolkit and even tried using Homero's ICS NvFlash version of ICS. Nothing helps, I use the phone a little, and then it just needs to be wiped again.
Anyone who had an issue similar to this? If not, then I think the O2X path ends here
Hoping someone can help.
-Natalya
Try to go back to old bootloader and use a GB rom and see if the problem persists. See the group on my signature on Facebook.

I tried using Homero V20S NvFlash ROM yes, which is on old bl, but it didn't help
After I use the phone like 1-2 hours maybe less, it just restarts and then won't boot again and I have to do full wipe again.
Yes psmax, I tried and sometimes, when I flash ROMs even in TWRP, the phone just shuts down in the middle of the flashing process. What the hell can be causing this?
Could it be an hardware problem?..

How can I know if its a hardware problem? That's what I am afraid of - because if it is, then its goodbye O2X
Sold the phone today.
Officially looking for a new phone now. Hmmmmmmm i wonder if i shall buy another o2x now that its being offered to me extremely cheap... i dunno what to do
Had almost same symptom: quick drop from fully charged to 60%, then random BSODs and reboots.
New battery did the trick for me.

A broken battery could send wrong readings to the kernel, which in turn responds with a shutdown or a crash. Most of the hw problems could depend on this...
