My friend has this screen protector that doesn't change the way the screen looks at all. I have this screen protector that makes it look dull. ... I want to find one like his, also his feels awesome, no homo
Any idea on what type it is? Screen Patronus? (He said it was expensive)

If you bought one of the screen protectors they sell at the Verizon store they have an anti glare film or coating on it that could make it look a bit dull when the screen is off. Zagg sells screen protectors that are kinda gel like... that might be the one your friend has. I used a the Zagg protectors for my old phone and it worked well.
The prices are
*Maximum Coverage for $24.99
*Full Body Easy Install for $24.99
*Screen Coverage for $14.99
I went to their website, full body install? Does that mean they install it for me?

I have had a Zagg shield on my phone for quite sometime now... And I am very happy with the results. I messed up the first install... and they offer a lifetime warranty on the shield... Cost me 3.99 shipping... plus a stamp and an envelope to send the old shield back.
Best part is... they send you an entire new set... install kit, shield and everything... Prior to you sending back the damaged one.
Where did you get this? Zagg website? Store?

I think that i bought my first one from best buy... Another thing i should mention... That if you get a new model phone... You can send in your old shield and get a new one for the new device.
So... Basically the zagg shield is the last shield you will ever buy.
Sounds wonderful, this is the exact one I was thinking of!

I have a crack and a chip in my screen... The chip would have been a lot worse had it not been for my ZAGG screen protector. The crack was me missing my pocket and it dropping from waist height onto concrete. Basically the same thing with the chip but it hit the corner of a step at the Pittsburgh football stadium.
my buddy had a little too much to drink and tossed my phone onto concrete with a fair amount of heft.. no screen damage, no case.
i guess YMMV.

Lg esteem reviews say different... and I have a busted lg ally that def has a plastic screen..
I've seen lots of cheap screen protectors on eBay. I just want something that's smooth and feels like the glass on the device. I don't want something rubbery like invisible shield or has the matte anti glare surface that feels like notbook paper and scratches easily. Any suggestions on a brand or seller to look for?
Thanks!

You guys outta try the screen protectors from Smartphone Experts from the Android Central Store. I have used them on my Inspire and they are great. After 2 months of use in a tire shop there are no scratches on the protectors. Easy application and they are available for the Thrill. They are $12.95 for a pack of 2, but they are worth it.

And skinomi has the smooth glass-like texture? I see on eBay there's a full body protector. If the $3 Xtremeguard body protector doesnt seem to work I may get that.
anyone know if they are going to make one for note 2
Have you tried contacting them? Usually they won't have one until it is released in the US.

They put protector tint on my ex galaxy s III back door. It was excellent job.
Is it worth using it instead of a case for body protection?
I haven't used any zagg shields before but à friend of mine had one on his nexus one, and it was looking awful..

In the Galaxy Note 10.1 forums, many complain that the Zagg feels terrible with the rubbery S Pen tip. Drags a lot, they recommended those crystal clear ones like those from ClearPlex. I dont think they have one for the note II yet tho.

There are a number of them available from Amazon. The Galaxy Note Zagg/BodyGuardz had the same issue.

I hope best skins ever make one for note 2 I allways use them much better than zagg and cheaper.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the user manual recommend NOT using a screen protector? Something about it interfering with the S-Pen.
But yeah, I'd go with something other than the invisibleshield, as stated above it adds a lot of friction (in my experience) and you get a sort of orange-peel effect.
FYI looks like they ship 10/24-10/26 for those who were waiting

Ok, call me crazy, but I find myself wondering how much use I will get out of the pen. I am used to android and navigating with my fingers. As well my ipad too.
What about the zagg HD it feels just like glass compared to normal or anti-glare zagg I don't think it will feel too rubbery. I've had zagg since my hero days and I love them. I'm waiting for US release of GN2 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get zagg HD for it as long as one comes out for it. I'll report back and let you guys know how it is.

In my experience the Xtremeguard quality was less than stellar. I've tried a few wet application urethane manufacturers and found the Xoskins were excellent with good customer support, but they are more expensive.

As an FYI, the skin protectors are good against scratches not drops. I know it's common sense but I had a perfectly self applied zagg shield on my Nexus One and it fell off my night stand and the screen broke. After that I went out and bought a Seidio Surface Case and haven't looked back.
They had a Zagg skin on the display model of the original note I tried out at Target and it really didn't work very well with the S-pen, as stated too much drag, felt awful. Something between that feel and the too slick feel of the naked screen would be perfect. I thought I had that right after applying the Spigen Ultra Crystal, it was just right initially but it became as slick as the glass after a little finger oil accumulated.
Keep away from this guys the zagg for note2 really not good i hv bought one from bestbuy before yesterday and i have regret to buy, toutching is not good, all not good at all, i just west 27 usd for nothing, ill go and buy sgp from amazon

Nice, I will be ordering soon. But what do you think about the full body ZAGG - is it going to work with a tpu case for example. I read that the normal ZAGG is not case friendly - the case could lift up the protector at the edges. What do you think - should I order the HD screen protector only or the full body?
I would only get the screen if you are definitely getting the case too

Zagg HD screen protector is pretty nice.
Well at least now I know it's good. But it is expensive. I have never thought I'd pay so much for a screen protector.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
I had the Zagg full body wrap on mine when I first got my G2 (Verizon), mainly because no cases were available yet. In about the 3 months time it was on, I had it replaced twice due to the back peeling. Once it starts peeling around the corners, dirt gets in there, and it makes your phone look like crap. Eventually, I picked up the Incipio Feather and DualPro cases. Neither case fit properly with the rear Zagg on, so I removed it. The front lasted another month or so, before I eventually removed that one as well.
Getting them replaced is a joke. There are normally kids working at the mall kiosks who are little to no help. I had to inquire several times and they never had them in stock. They'd take my number down on a piece of paper and tell me they'd call when they came in the following week, but I never heard from them.

I just get the 6 pack dry installers from Amazon. Cheap and so far they last. It feels like glass so I like it. If you really wanna try wet installs like ZAGG, try this: http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/117...ard-coupon-for-screen-or-full-body-protectors
I just ordered 3 fronts and a back protector for $2.50.... Can't go wrong with that price. Just make sure to use the 90% off code.

I had the full coverage version on my S3 and had no issues with it in a UAG case. I did have to get the front replaced with a "case friendly" version under warranty when the case started peeling the edges off. I never had a problem with the back piece even with 3 different cases. Just pay the $4 shipping fee. When I had to get my phone replaced, I got another set for $4 under warranty.Once it's on for a day or so, it's on there.

You have to register online and replacements are easy to get and they ship fairly quick. When you order a replacement under warranty, you can get a different version equal to what you have (or lower). You just have to send them the old one back. I didn't go with the full body version for my G2.
I have the extreme gaurd back and zagg hd screen protector and use ot woth commuter otterbox with no issues since jan when i got the g2

Just wanted to update everyone that I purchased the zagg glass screen protector from Verizon for 35$ and it's the best money spent on this phone. No halo, perfect fit and not only that they have good customer service for the price. If this thing cracks all I have to do is call them and they send me out a replacement that same day.
So let's stop with these threads about the best glass screen protector and just spend 35$ for this thing because it's worth it for the price of this phone and it's Good knowing you can get in contact with them right away to get a replacement if anything happens.
Is there a gap between the end of the screen and the protector? Can't tell if the Note 5 glass is flatter than the Note 4. Thanks
I have the HD glass and I have a halo. However the only case that Best Buy had left was a Defender so I think it's lifting the sides of the glass a little.

I went through several "cheapies" from Amazon ($7-$10 range) for my GS6 but none would stick all the way down on the edges. Always had that halo effect. I would return them all for a refund, but was still frustrating. I decided this go around to drop the money for the Zagg (plus a 25% discount at VZW) and glad I did. This think is much better than those ~$7 ones on Amazon.

Off topic very real quick, how do you like the Diztronic case? Is it a snug fit? I have mine coming tomorrow and I also have the Zagg and I have zero halo issues.
Not to mention the zagg has a lifetime warranty. Send back the cracked one and they will give you a new one.

So after a failed attempt with a BodyGuardz Pure (really bad halo around both long sides and the bottom, on not one but 2 separate shields tried), ATT let me switch to Zagg. This one is pretty much perfect. Covers a large part of the screen (more than BodyGuardz), and best of all, no halo. Woot.

Was just gonna post this. Not halo at all. Not the cheapest option, but it works perfectly.

Don't get it from bestbuybestbuy. Heard it has a blue tint anyway. Get it from Verizon. Also if it's not lined up perfectly you'll prob get a halo in the corner. I installed my girlfriend's and went a little too high, slight halo in right corner only. Have to get a replacement for her =(

Do you just buy it at a verizon store? Or do you have to buy it online?
I got mine from Best Buy and you can only see the blue tint if you hold it at an angle and in direct sunlight. It has no affect on the screen quality or anything. The Zagg has no halo, its cut very precise so you have to really take your time lining it up.
ATT store has it as well. They did mine, and it's slightly off to the right, but there is no halo at all.
